Rage (final part)

The Police at the precinct knew they had a nine year old child with them. They knew the story. Even so, her problem was not on the top of their lists.1

They thought they had plenty of time. They knew they could not hold her forever, but they knew that there was always time. 2

Time here, though, was of the essence.3

The policeman who had spoken to Trinity was heartbroken. He couldn't sleep, when he tried, he saw Trinity's crying face.4

He was the only officer there, who remained devoted to find her father, to find justice. This officer's name, was James.5

He would talk to Trinity often, and eventually, Trinity even considered him a friend. "Mister James" she would call him. 6

7

Trinity loved talking to James. She couldn't even hide it anymore. Her face would light up, and temporarily, she would forget about her daddy, and what horrible monstrocities he had done.8

9

But that was all Mister James wanted to know. What her daddy did. It made her sad, and once, she even said, "Mister James, I still want to be friends, even after we find my daddy."10

11

James had replied, "Of course, but we need to find you're daddy. So he cannot hurt you anymore."12

13

James was completely devoted to find this childs father. Not even to put him in jail. No, he just intended to kick his ass for him. Show the monster what his child felt like every night. Show the monster what karma really ment.14

15

James was fueled on bloodlust, and perhaps, that is what made him so blind.16

17

James, with all his devotion, had not once decided to go back to Trinity's house, where, so obviously; he would go when he had decided to return.18

19

No, James just went out looking for bars, looking for where he might've run. That was his mistake.20

21

As of now, Trinity had no signs of abuse. The bruise was gone, she was in high spirits, and she even loved her father. They had no evidence, and it would take ages before Child Protection would deal with her case. After all, children get beaten all the time. She was just one more load of paperwork.22

25

Trinity's father had been out to AA meetings. He had decided to sober up, and had even called a babysitter to watch his daughter.26

27

Though he could not remember what he did while he was drunk, he could see it on Trinity. That told him to get better, he loved his daughter.28

29

When he got home, no one was there. Being sober, he actually began to think things through. There was no babysitter, no Trinity. He got angry, and went out to his car, and drove to the police station.30

31

When he stepped inside, many things happened all at once. James went up to him, and asks if he could help.32

33

The father asks for his daughter.34

35

James yells at him for beating his daughter.36

37

Another officer goes to retrieve Trinity.38

39

James punched Trinity's father in the face.40

41

Her father retaliates.42

43

Trinity enters the room, and watched in horror as her father beat up Mister James.44

45

James pulls out his weapon, and tells her father to calm down.46

47

Trinity's father grabs the gun, and goes to shoot James, but he slips and falls, just in time to dodge the bullet.48

49

The bullet's knew path means that it hits Trinity, right in the chest.50

51

James screams, and tackles Trinity's father.52

53

The gun goes off, and hits him square in the chest.54

55

The other officers finally stopped the bout, but the damage was already done. James died on the spot, and Trinity was rushed to the hospital. 56

57

She survived.58

59

Her father was arrested, and sent to prison for life.60

61

63

Trinity grows up, and becomes a police officer, in memory of her dead friend, Mister James. He was her one and only friend.64

65

She devoted herself to the prevention of child abuse, and neglect.66

I totally didn't see that ending coming! I liked how you have the happily ever after thing going for her in the end! Finally something good for that poor little girl. Over all, I'm really impressed with your story, especially for your age. I don't think I was that creative then, or now! LOL!
