My eyes fluttered open, my lashes brushing the sky. I was held, almost caressed, by the deep and endless blues. The stars sweetened the night, like sugar strewn across bittersweet chocolate.1
I could hear the distant waltz of the sun, and the stars whispered in my ears. They began to echo the moon's lamented song, a twisted variation of its rival's carefree dance. I was swirled in the music around me, like leaves tumbling in the wind. The sorrowful moon pierced me with its gaze and set my spirit free.2
It was a new world, maybe even better than the one I had been ripped away from. So I smiled, as I cascaded into a new light.3
