Living The Dream 4

Sam eye's fluttered opening. She rubbed the sleepys from her eyes. Rolled out of bed. Stretched and listened to her bones crack. Sighing she walked over to her closet trying to figure out what to wear. She scanned each item. Her black demin jacket. The boot cut white studded pants. Then there it was in the back. Her rainbow pants with black shirt. That was perfect. She choose the black boots to wear again and of course her lucky hat.1

It was only ten. What to do until 3? Well Bubba's has the mechanical bull. I could work on the car. She thought and thought about it then she grabbed the note pad on the desk which she wrote down her song on. Better put some music with this piece.2

"If I told you I still loved you that would be a lie. If I cried for you it wouldn't be worth my time. My heart is broken. Can't you see. You hold the pieces. In the palm of your hand. Squeezing it until I can't breath. Crushing me. I'm dying. Can't you see. I wipe away my tears. Because loving you would be a lie. You better off with that other guy. He is better off with you then I am. Loving you would be a lie. Crying for you wouldn't be worth my time. 3

Take away my pain. One drink at a time. Looking deep in my glass. Saying love you would be a lie. I cherish each moment spent with you. But crying for that ain't worth my time. I can't stand it. My heart is in pain. You couldn't see. All the tiny pieces in your hand. I don't want to cry. I feel I should. In a way I want to but it's not worth my time. I shouldn't waist it on you.4

I picked up my glass and poured it on the bar. The pain unbearable. I couldn't help but let my heart pore out. I went out to my car. Cried until I could cry no more. But I still didn't love you that would be a lie!"5

The words were beautiful she knew that. Just had to arrange it more. The chorus was bad but it could work. She liked it. Something to show Tonya on their date. Well hang out. She laughed at the thought. She got dressed and went downstairs.6

Looking at the clock it was 11 now. Damn. She found Ms. Banks's card and grabbed the phone. May be she could set the appointment up sooner. She dialed the number and listened. After three rings she picked up.7

"This is Ms. Banks. How can I help you?"8

"Yes Ms. Banks. It's Sam Waters from the club lastnight. We have an appointment today. I wonder if we could meet sooner."9

"Sure when?"10

"Like ten minutes. If that's ok?"11

"Yeah can we do it at your place?"12

"Sure we could. My address is 673 West Dowery Rd."13

"Ok I will be over."14

Sam hung up the phone. Oh damn. Sooner I can be with Tonya. She grinned from ear to ear as Steven walked into the kitchen.15

"Samster has a date! With a singer! I read her diary!"16

Sam stepped towards Steven as he raced out of the kitchen. Screaming at the top of his lungs. Mom came running into the kitchen.17

"Sam what are you doing to your brother?"18

"Mom he went through my stuff."19

"No need to scare him half to death like that."20

"I was messing. Plus I got company coming over. It's important. Can ya take him out or something?"21

"No he will be good."22

"Alright Mom. I can't have this blown. This is my dream come true."23

"I know baby and you won't."24

Sam's mom left and there she was alone in the kitchen again. She thought about what she was going to say to Ms. Banks. She wanted this really bad it was her dream come true. She just couldn't pass up the offer. Though it meant a lot of traveling.25

Her thoughts were interupted by a knocking at the door. She raced to the door. Stopped and adjusted herself. She had to look good. Well actual no it didn't matter but still she had to do something.26

She opened the door to see Ms. Banks standing there in all red. It was too much red Sam thought. She extended her hand.27

"Thanks for coming Ms. Banks. It's a pleasure to have you. Come on in."28

"Your welcome. Well let's go so we can get this done. You seemed like you were in a hurry on the phone."29

"Well come on in and will get started. Sorry didn't what to be a push. It's just that I hung out with Tonya Jones last night and she wants to hang out again kind of show me the ropes ya know?"30

"Ah alright. Well let's get this done then."31

Sam motioned for Ms. Banks to come in. She went into the kitchen as she followed.32

"Here we can do it at the table? How many papers?"33

"Yeah the table is fine. Not many papers."34

"Alright sooner the better. So where do we begin?"35

Sam sat down and Ms. Banks sat down next to her. She opened her briefcase and pulled out some papers. 36

"Alright here we go. First is the contract of your singing."37

She pointer to a x with a line. 38

"Sign here."39

Then she pointed somewhere else.40

"Intial here."41

Sam did that. Closer and closer she got to living her dream.42

"One more paper. It is for your money arrangements. How you will get it?"43

"And how will that be?"44

"You can get it direct deposit into an account or sent through the mail or we just give it to you."45

"Just give it to me will be good so there is no hassle or anything. Ya know?"46

"Yes totally. Sign here and we are done."47

Sam signed the last line and bam she was in. Just like that. She stood up and Ms. Banks did too. They shook hands.48

"Pleasure doing business with you Sam Waters."49

"Ya too Ms. Banks. Thanks again."50

"Your welcome. Bye."51

"Bye."52

Sam watched as Ms. Banks got into her car. She raced to the phone. Time to call Tonya and get together sooner. Her heart raced as she heard each ring. Then that sweet voice picked up.53

"Hello?"54

"Tonya?"55

"Yeah. Who is this?"56

"Sam from yesterday."57

"Ah Sam what can I do for you?"58

"Can we get together sooner? I finished what I needed to with Ms. Banks."59

"Yeah that sounds great. When?"60

"When are you free?"61

"Now..Pratically the whole day."62

"Oh sweet. Well let's do it now then."63

"Alright I will be over. Where ya live?"64

"I shall meet ya at Rainbow. That ok? We'll go from there?"65

"Alright sounds good to me."66

Sam said goodbye and hung up the phone. She grabbed her keys and got ready to leave. This was going to be awesome. She left and headed to rainbow with My Broken Heart blairing on the stereo.
