True Fallen Love chapter 2

Time past fast as I ate my afternoon bowl of cereal and followed my brother upstairs to his room, I was intently watching him fib in a text message to all the people that had received the indecent (to say the least) picture of me. 1

He had agreed to say that he had found the picture online, and he had just wanted to play a practical joke on his friends. We stayed there until everyone had replied back with typical ‘man you got me good’ responses.2

“Proof enough for you sis?” Trevor said, spinning in his chair.3

I still frown, “Fine, don’t you ever do that again, or you will never ever see the light of day again.” I stalked out, part of the horror over. As I left I glanced at the hallway clock, an hour and a half had gone by! I raced back to my room, stopping at the sight of my sister Rose and Allyson talking. From the gist of it, it seemed like Rose was trying to tell Allyson why my dumbass brother was no good for her.4

Allyson is laughing, “He did what!”5

“I’m not lying, the boy will cause you major therapist time!” Rose exclaimed. “Just ask Ana!”6

I felt four eyes on me, scanning me over.7

“He is defiantly one who will give you gray hairs, he is seriously detrimental to your mental, emotional, and physical health!” I agree with Rose most sincerely.8

“Well….I guess I’m convinced then…” Allyson seems surer now. Rose jumps up, eyes full of satisfaction, saying, “My work here is done!” And she’s gone and outta here.9

I kill the rest of the time telling Allyson about my dream. I see different emotions of shock, horror, excitement, and disbelief across her face. She was totally into it. We kill more time as she tells me about her summer job as a counselor at a camp she worked at. And about a cute guy she met, whose name was Jason. She said his name in reverence and awe. Supposedly her job was going to be a temporary summer thing after the party, but as she talked more and more about it, it seemed like my body was there listening, but my mind was not. It had decided to dwell on the ‘stranger’. I start asking myself questions, ‘what could his name be?’ Was it a coincidence that I dreamed about him now? Was he really as good a kisser as he appeared to be in my dream?10

I know this may sound weird, but my dreams usually….had a way of getting into the real world. So I had learned to pay attention to them. 11

‘Was he real?’ I don’t even know why I was asking myself that question. ‘Of course not!’ my mind screamed at me. Telling me logic was the only way.12

“Earth to Ana!” Allyson waved her hand in my face, “You didn’t answer my question!”13

“Enlighten me.” I smiled, brought back to ‘earth’.14

“Do you really think he’ll be there?” Allyson knew about my dreams too.15

I sigh. “I really can’t say Al. I mean, all my dreams that seem to make sense come true. And there IS a party today….You say that it’s cool I can dream what is coming. But it just brings more grief to me.” I look at my alarm clock, it reads 5: 47, it’s about time to go.16

I decide to ask Rose to drop us off, seeing as she has the only available car in our family, much to Trevor’s dismay. But then I see her yelling and telling Trevor off, I decide not to let him slide. Whatever he did, he deserves whatever he is getting. Preferably a beat down from Rose. I listen in, she is drilling him about his comment on me being like her. One thing about Rose is, she just doesn’t like things to be left untold. Her motto is: If you got something to say, say it.17

“Okay.” I say to Allyson, “Your car it is.” She sighs and says, “We could have decided that in the first place.” She is just pretending to be irritated at me.18

The thing is, personally, (though I would never tell Allyson this.) I hate riding with Allyson. She drives like she is intoxicated. I almost always wonder how she got her license. She drags me out the door and slams it behind us.19

The house is hot and everyone is drinking beer. I decide to stick to soda’s for tonight. I figure I might have to be the one driving us back, because Allyson is pouring beer down her throat like she had never had liquid in her life. Or like she was already half-way to being drunk. Allyson has already mingled into the sweaty crowd. I decide to try and found my way around.21

“Hey baby,” a man that looks drunk as hell grabs my arm. I roll my eyes and walk away. On second thought, I decide to stick with Allyson for the time being. She has finally put down her beer and is standing up. Not nearly as drunk as she seemed a minuet ago. Allyson and I are pointing and giggling, almost like little girls, until we remind ourselves to stop.22

“Oh-my-Gawd! Those boys are sexy!” Allyson points straight at them. I look around, trying to see if any of them happened to be the ‘stranger’. No such luck. I find the group of guys repulsive. But, to Allyson, and for Allyson, I lie. “Yeah, I know.” I smile at her, raising my soda can in a salute. She smiles back, where best friends. And suddenly, the room goes black, and everyone around me is yelling.23

“Lights on, or lights out, I like it from behind,” My eyes are trying to search out Allyson, but the room is pitch black. I feel someone put their hands on my waist from behind me and do something that would make me scarred for life. (With clothes on) I struggle to free myself from the person behind me. I hear Allyson laughing like the whole damn thing was funny. I am about to hit this boy in the crotch when the light turn back on. I spin around to see this boy, when to my horror and surprise I see it’s actually a girl. My mouth is hanging open. In reply to my unsaid shock, she smiles.24

“We do it to all the new comers.” I am speechless so I just growl in my head, grumbling and muttering, throwing a couple obstinacies’ around. I walk away. “So much for growing up when your in collage.” I think this with much sorrow. 25

“Tell me that wasn’t fun!” Exclaims Allyson, immune to the horrors I had just undergone.26

“Oh!” She squeals, “This really hot boy just asked for my number!” She beams.27

I give her the ‘evil eye’, “Allyson, you may be pretty, but don’t be stupid.”28

“Oh, somebody’s mad!” She just misses a spilled coke.29

“Pissed is more like it.” I grimace and fold my arms. I try to smile.30

“So where is Charlye?” She makes a confused face, “I was about to ask the same thing, I’ll go look for her.” She waves at me before she leaves. “Ta-Ta!” She is moving toward this blond haired, blue eyed white guy. I wonder at where Charlye could be, she was supposed to be with us. Charlye is both our friends, sort of like a middle go-between. She is way cool. I finished my forth soda with a hiss, wincing as it burns and bubbles it’s way down my tender throat. I am seriously considering my anti-beer factor. I move to find the bathroom, I walk around to look for it, pushing my way through gross sweaty bodies. I am trying to peer over the shoulders of many, what suddenly, I am jolted. I stumble and almost fall, catching my balance at the last minuet. I had bumped un-seeing into this guy, he is brushing himself off. I decide to ask him, after all, we both already ‘met’ even though it was through my own clumsiness. 31

“Um..Sorry. Do you happen to know where the bathroom is?” He smiles, his eyes glistering. He leans down, as if about to whisper into my ear. Then he gets another bright idea, instead of talking to me, he leans further down, and to my horror he licks my ear! Like a damn dog! I jump back in response.32

“What the f’in hell is your problem!” I push him back, the crowd parts a little, as if just noticing that a dispute has happened about.33

“You-,” He smiles almost drunkenly, “Taste good.” He frowns, almost looking ashamed of himself. Then smiles again.34

“God, that’s disgusting!” I decide a slap isn’t even worthy of him. I walk away, far, far away from him. I decide, coming back to my previous dilemma, to find the bathroom myself. The crowd is thinning where I am walking, probably because I am now going down a hallway, I check every door to my left. Two bedrooms (both occupied) and at the third door, (to my relief) a bathroom. I turn the knob and enter, to my dismay, in the tub where two girls and a guy making out and attempting drunken intercourse in the tub. I close the shower curtain, about ready to drag Allyson out and forgo the ‘party’. I thought I had seen many weird things, but tonight tops them all.35

On an impulse I look at my reflection. I still look, “Hot” as Allyson put it. I pull out my lip gloss and apply it to my lips, smushing them together. Startling me, the curtain to the shower opens. The guy and two girls are now staring at me, and I at them.36

The dude smiles grossly, “You wanta join babe? I know youdoo.” The last two words are slurred, barely understandable. But I get the picture. Still, I don’t bother answering, instead I take one more look at myself and leave.37

“I like sassy girls.” I hear him say behind me as I shut the door.38

“Jerk.” I mutter under my breath, he sort of reminded me of my stupid jock at my school. Alex Johnson, he tried to lead me on, and failed miserably in the attempt. He ended up hating me for not giving him the time of day. I leave the small hallway and head back to the main area. I see Charlye talking with Allyson. They found eachother. I wave, and she waves back with a smile and eyes Allyson. Ally is laughing stupidly, I purse my lips in irritation, God I hate it when she’s drunk!39

Most people had already drunk at least 4-5 beers before becoming drunk, but for Allyson, it only took one bottle. ONE STUPID BOTTLE! I head over to Charyle, who is trying unsuccessfully to full Allyson away from a group of drunken guys. But instead of going all the way, I stop.40

Allyson should be able to take care of herself! I rush out of the room and to the backdoor, or at least what I assumed to be the back door; I was only thinking about my need for fresh air. I’m almost out the door, when someone bumps into me. Hard.41

“Ouch, damn you!” It has been a tough night, my voice cracks and tears fill my eyes.42

“Sorry.” I hear a low seductive voice say. It’s coming from the guy who almost knocked me over. At first I think he’s trying to get with me. After all, all the guys here have. I am about to cuss him out, but when I look up. I stop dead in my tracks. My heart stops, my mind is numb, my legs turn to Jell-o and my arms feel oh so heavy. But somehow, I am still standing.43

I stare at him, the stranger. I can see the lips that once kissed mine in my dream moving. I can’t make out the words, my mind is in slow motion, still in a trance. He looks worried, my mind finally makes out. He is looking intently at me, probably asking if I am ok. I stare into those wonderful green-gray eyes. The same eyes in my dream; I move onto his lips, perfect in every way. I feel his hands on my forehead, hear his beautiful voice ask me how much I had to drink. I could almost laugh, his touch….It brings my mind back to life.44

I can feel myself being lifted from the ground, but I’m still a statue. I am put down, probably on a chair. The stranger bends down to my level, he is pretty tall, the perfect height. He puts his hand on my jaw, and turns my head from side to side. I’m no longer a statue. I can feel the iciness of his hand on my face. I jump. He sits down in a chair of his own and closes his eyes, momentarily. Enough to release me further.45

“I’m sorry,” He smiles, referring to our little bump in together; again, I am struck speechless. His words….Just like in my dream linger in my mind. I shake my head a little and snap back into reality, and to my infinite surprise he is still there. Still in front of me, he laughs, and I manage a smile. His eyes smile, he laughs again, and he takes my hand. I offer no resistance. Then, he looks me dead in the eyes and asks, “What is your name?” 46

I stare dumbfounded again. “What is your name?” I repeat.
