"So why did you send me that email?" he asked her.1
"It was a cry for help", she replied blushing.2
"You are a weird one. How can something like 'just because, okay' be a call for help?"3
"Well I'm just that type of girl I guess." she shrugged. "Luckily for you, you don't have to put up with that." She gave out a laugh as she finished.4
A short silence followed. She looked up at him and he looked back at her. There was an intent there in those eyes that she couldn't quite pin down. It scared her. And then suddenly he was speaking.5
"What if I were to say that I wanted to put up with it?"6
This couldn't be happening. Not to her. Not now. Was he really saying what he was saying? Could it be? No, no, no, it couldn't be. But there he was standing before her, having just said those very words that she had dreamed he would say since there first meeting.7
"Are...are you saying what I think your saying?" She replied hesitantly.8
He laughed slightly and replied just as shyly "Well what do you think?"9
She swallowed. This seriously could not be happening and yet it was. Was the world suddenly spinning around them or was it just her imagining things? No it can't be this is way too cliche. Its like a romantic chick flick in reality and that just doesn't happen. Love is this twisted ugly thing that doesn't exist for her. Never had and never would. But there, there he was. The deepest of brown set eyes staring into hers, longing, hoping, desiring that her answer would be the same as his.10
"Do you seriously know what your getting into?" She replied in shock.11
"Well, I don't know, but I'm willing to buy a ticket onto this ride, so let's so what happens together?"12
"I'm...I'm sorry that I'm sounding so blond here but I'm just in shock that...that...that..." She couldn't finish off the words.13
"That what? That I could like you? That anyone in this world could like you? Love is something that strikes randomly and when it does it leaves us thrown and wondering what the hell happened. But you'll find after the dizziness that happiness can be found, it just emerges from the euphoria. And to be honest, I've had a bit of time to think about it. I was unsure myself but over time, I just found that...that...I'm happy with you, around you. I can't seem to go by a day without talking to you. I need your opinion on things and I want to include you in my life. I want to sit you down and just talk about everything and anything. And at first it scared the living daylights out of me, but then I came to realise that this shouldn't be something scary, but something to revel in. It just gets a little hard when it's one-sided. And here I am, crazily enough standing here, hoping you feel the same and telling you all of this." He raised his hands in a form of surrender and then looked away, as if that small speech had cost more than the strength he could afford to continue looking at her without an answer.14
She swallowed again. He'd been just as crazy about the whole thing as she had. She couldn't leave him just standing here with no answer, she had to say something back in reply.15
"I...I know how you feel." Oh God, she couldn't believe that she had just said that.16
His eyes swept back to hers. His lips curled into that familiar friendly smile that she had always seeked at each meeting. She was falling....oh dear lord...she was falling.17
"I...I..."18
His arm swung round to embrace her and suddenly his face was that close to hers. She could barely breathe. His hand lifted hers, placing it on his chest. And there it was, his heart beating a million times an hour. He was just as nervous as she was! It was like exploring a new love for the first time, which was exactly what it was anyway.19
She couldn't resist, it had been that long desired, she raced forward placing her lips onto his, feeling their smooth softness. His lips began to move and caress hers. She felt whole again and so did he. It was like a meeting of halves. As corny as it sounded, it was true. They had both desired each other for so long now that it was hard to stop and not feel the electricity between each fleeting movement and brush of skin against skin.20
He pulled away from her and laughed slightly.21
"Hey, hey, hey now, I need to breath too you know."22
"Don't you think we've done enough of that already?" She replied.23
He smiled back in that quizzical look of his. She couldn't help but do the same- it was infectious.24
"Come on, let's go do something together. We could do the movies, or coffee or a nice restaurant..."25
He held her hand in his as they began to walk on.
"It was a cry for help", she replied blushing.2

Author notes
See, this is what I'm really good at, just setting up one small scene like this, but not knowing where to go from there. Maybe I should be a really, really short story writer.
Oh and that email did happen, that's about the only true part of the story. In reality, the guy never replied nor did any of that happen, but it got me dreaming as to "what if"?
