Fighting to Fly

Fighting to Fly1

“Why are you fighting?” The soft half whisper, half agonizing question brought him back from his daze. “Why?” a hint of desperation crept into her voice. He never looked at her, only a benign smile graced his lips. 2

"To be free,” his gaze wasn’t on her, but on the horizon. 3

It's fifty words at my house so let's hope it'll transfer correctly here! Count them yourself if you aren't satisfied. I didn't count the title as words though.

    Of course I'm satisfied.

It's fifty words. Why would you lie?

I love the picture, it's great. Absolutely beautiful.

But wow. Your entry is, too. It's so beautiful, and written extraordinarily.

    I really love it

It's really original, and thought out, and it's not at all stressed, which a lot of these can be, since there's a word count.

    Great work!

Thank you so much for entering, and I wish you the absolute best of luck!

    xoxo

it's short and simple and gives off it's point immediately. This takes a lot of writing skills to pull off...GOOD

    NICE

Good capsule of thought and emotion. Brevity works here.

Gosh, I absolutely adore this. It was perfect- even though you only used fifty words. Great vocabulary, and even though I heard like two things from the characters, they were great, too. My only itch is that you forgot the beginning quotes in front of 'To be free'.

    Good luck in the contest!
