The Eternal War, Prologue

Prologue1

Power. That’s what that goddamn war was about. To see which of the two hybrid races- Werewolves or Vampires- would control the entire world. Stupid if you ask me. What was the point? They could’ve ruled together. But no! They had to go and fuck everything up! Why? Because they could! Well, enough with the whingeing, I’d better tell you about it.2

The war raged on for thousands of years, with neither side giving any ground to the other.3

Each side had an Overlord, who, in return for their status and power, had sworn to the gods to continue the war until one side was completely wiped from the face of the earth.4

The Final Battle, which was meant to decide the fate of the entire world, as we know it today, raged for weeks.5

Then one day, it all went silent. The fighting had stopped. The protagonists never knew what hit them- until now, of course. They never saw it coming. No-one knew what they were, or where they came from, but they’ve been there since the beginning of time, lurking, ever watchful, never sleeping, always planning, working, waiting for the opportune time to strike.6

The only survivors, a new-born Werepyre- which a cross between a Werewolf and a Vampire- and a young Vampire have to continue the struggle, or work together to find what killed the rest of their race. 7

Being the only survivors, it means that they must survive, or all hope of ridding the world of Ultimate Evil will disappear.8

Allow me to tell you the story of how we met, how we avenged our ancestors, and created the first ever bond between Werewolves and Vampires.
