black and White chapt 7

Isaac bolted up right and looked at Crystel dead in her regretful, tearing eyes, hatred towards the little wretch filling him up so that detestion rippled heavily from his own loathing scowl. “What did you say?” he asked furiously.1

“W-well,” Crystel stammered nervously, “What was I supposed to do? I mean he already knew. Don’t worry, I believe you that he’s bad. Your word is-“2

“You invited him.” Isaac broke her off, voice full of open hostility. “You said you were going into town for supplies. That’s what you said. That it wouldn’t affect me, not at all.”3

“I-I’m sorry, Isaac. What was I supposed to do, I was stuck and-“4

“I said that we shouldn’t stay!” He yelled, “Do you think I’m stupid? If you had listened to me then this wouldn’t have happened!”5

“Isaac!” Crystel said, dropping her apologetic standings, “don’t yell at me about this. At least we know that he is not the good one and that’s all that really matters, isn’t it? I’ve apologized and there is nothing else I can do about it or you for that matter. We’re going to have to meet him tomorrow.”6

Isaac glared at her, savageness devouring any human in him, “fine,” He snarled, and stormed out of the room...7

But, everything was not fine, in fact nothing was fine. To think that he was ever considering to not to kill her himself… how tempting it was… just a moment ago with her just standing there, so open, so vulnerable… how tempting it was to not just knock her down, and rip his teeth through her warm flesh. 8

His skin crawled at the thought, the thought of blood spilling across the floor, the thought of her, standing wide open for him to attack. The thought of his-9

“My my Nuse.” A soft but chilly voice whispered. “Aren’t you worked up?”10

Isaac jumped, realizing that he was in the middle of the woods, smoke clearing in front of him, the Queen’s eyes gazing mercilessly down at him. A horrible chill suddenly ran down his spine and he broke out into a cold sweat. “w-why are you here,” he growled from the back of his throat.11

“You called me,” she said, a strange malicious smile making its way slowly across her face. “You don’t remember?”12

“I didn’t call you,” He said, but despite himself he reached into his pocket to feel his stone, but found it absent.13

She reached out her hand and held it out for him, “That’s the blood thirsty killer I want,” She said with pleasure, “is there something you wanted to tell me?” 14

Isaac hesitated a moment, then, he remembered Crystel. He remembered her stupid apologies, and he remembered her empty promise. But most of all, He remembered the goblin. The hideous, cold, heartless thing that she had forced into his life. “Let me do it.” He snapped, for a moment feeling his skin crawl again, “let me kill her.”15

“Why so eager?” She Queen asked.16

“Because,” he said, “Because she is an unappreciative piece of garbage who ignored the one thing I asked of her.”17

“And what was it she did?” The witch asked looking down at him with intent, basking in the hatred that rolled off of him.18

“It’s none of your buisness,:” Isaac snapped.19

“I think it is.” She calmly replied. 20

“she.. the second person is a goblin,” He looked away from her. She laughed, sending more shivers down his spine.21

“A goblin? Well, this is perfect, far to perfect. Of course That imbecile of a prophet would rust up at just the right time. As long as I have the two of you working for me, I am in no danger.”22

Isaac glared at her, She looked down at him the cold look in her eyes boring into him, “But don’t you worry, you can kill her. Provided you get to her first that is.” She looked down at him, “But, there will be no fooling around about it. The next time you call for me, she had better be dead. You caught me in a good mood, but I assure you, next time, you will not be quite as fortunate.”23

Isaac glared at her again, then turned to leave as black smoke devoured the queens body. He wasn’t going to the inn, not now, he was going to have to go to a blacksmith. He knew that he was going to need more then his own teeth and nails to finish the job. 24

* * * * * * * * * * * * *25

Crystel locked her room’s door that night, she knew it was ridiculous, most likely Isaac had only gotton himself that sword because the person who she would need protection from was so huge and from what she could remember, armed with a decent sized blade as well. She had even gotton her self a large dagger and a sheith for herself for just that reason. So with Isaac’s extra protection it really should make her feel even more comfertable about the situation. But considering how angry Isaac was with her, she just thought it would be safer to sleep with the door locked. So she did, and the next morning she found herself being woken up by a quick pound on her door.26

Jeff, meanwhile, had done as he was told and waited outside the inn early the next morning. Crystel was the first person who came out and was very closely followed by a brown haired man with hatred filled yellow eyes and dark brown hair. Crystel nervously looked from the sulking man to Jeff and back again. “So,” she said nervously, “I guess it’s the three of us from here on out. So, I guess I had better introduce you two. Jeff, this is Isaac.”27

Isaac glared at her, then at Jeff. Jeff looked down at him, having a hard time trying not to smile out of amusment. Humans thought they could just look at someone to intimidate them. That’s not how it worked with goblins. Normally, they only glared with a blade. 28

“Ok,” Crystel said. Jeff’s stomach lurched, suddenly feeling nervous about the girl standing next to him, maybe it was not the only way to intimidate, but he doesn’t know how it is that she does it., “We should probably get going, Isaac, which way?”29

Isaac turned and began to walk in down the street, grumbling something under his breath. 30

“All, right then,” Said Crystel and she began to follow him.31

They had walked for about ten minutes, and they were on a path in the woods. Jeff found himself looking at Crystel on and off, only to find that each time he did, his stomach would jump up to his throat, then fall down to his toes. He didn’t like it, no true goblin was supposed to feel so… weak when they did something as small as look at someone. But then again, he wasn’t completely like other goblins. 32

Suddenly behind him, Jeff heard a rustle in the leaves scattered on the path’s floor.Jeff ignored it and continued walking, but the sound continued and began to grow closer. Jeff began to seped up his pace, but the scurrying noise behind him just sped up along with him. Jeff sighed heavily, knowing that it was hopless to try and out run such a pest. He looked up to make sure that Crystel wouldn’t notice, making his stomach flop in the process, then he stopped and turned around. And sure enough, coming to a not so sudden stop and clumsily bumping into his foot, was a very small, brown, fuzzy brownie with large eyes, round ears, a black stomach, and a wirey tail. A cheerful, ever present smile beamed at Jeff under his small pink nose, “Wazzup Jeffy!” He said Cheerfully, recovering from his fall. 33

“Stop following me Boo Boo.” Jeff said Irritably, frowning at the tiny creature. “Just turn around and go home.”34

Jeff turned around to leave, but, as Jeff expected, the Brownie did not listen to his demands. Why would he? He never has, and Jeff has many reasons to believe that he aslo never will. 35

“Who are they?”Boo Boo asked from below. 36

“No one, it doesn’t matter.” Jeff answered curtly assuming he meant Crystel and Isaac. 37

Boo Boo looked at Jeff , then back at the two ahead of them, “She’s a pretty girl,” He pounted out. 38

Jeff looked up, then, regretfuly back down, trying to calm his stomach down, “wow,” He grummbled, “arn’t you observant.”39

“What’s her name?” Boo boo asked.40

“Like I said, it doesn’t matter, because your not staying.”41

Boo boo ignored him like always, and just climed up Jeff’s moving leg up to his broad shoulder, and there, he comfertably sat, “well, if you won’t tell me then I’ll Just call her pretty girl.” Boo boo stated with childish satisfaction. 42

“Whatever.” Jeff muttered, glaring peevishly at the pest, “get off my shoulder.”43

Boo boo ignored him, “I saw you pull her out of that bush Jeffy. And you smiled at her when she turned to leave. Do you think she’s pretty too?” 44

Jeff pulled boo boo off of his shoulder and held him up in frnt of him so that they could see eye to eye, “that is none of your buisness, you nosey little rodent,” he said, trying to fill his voice with icyness. 45

But he knew that It was too late and that boo boo had already read him, and knew exactally what was going on in his his head. Jeff glared at boo boo again.46

“Do you like her?” Boo boo asked.47

“I don’t know,” Jeff mummbled, face growing hot. “Yes, I think sh’s kind of pretty, but she’s Crystel White, of course she’s going to be pretty.”48

Boo boo didn’t say anything for a minute, “whose he?” he asked, pointing at Isaac.49

Jeff was caught off guard by this, Boo boo didn’t normally let things drop like that.50

“Why?” Jeff asked. 51

“B-because,” Boo boo said, “He’s… I mean, wouldn’t he be that stupid guy, from the story?”52

Jeff looked over at Isaac, sudenly reilizing his hand tightly gripping his sword. 53

“You know,” boo boo continued, “whose supposed to try and kill her.54

That was the momment that Jeff learned why it was that humans glared at people, as pointless as It seemed, for at that moment, Jeff forgot that he was a goblin, he forgot everything. All he knew was that that man was going to try and kll that girl. That beautiful, amazing girl, and for that, he hated him. “Go home Boo boo,” Jeff muttered, an icy feeling quickly deouring his body. Boo boo quickly dropped off his shoulder and ran off into the woods.55

And there was much excellentness! I love this chapter! I'm now starting to think that Isaac is going to be the bad guy. But that may change. Again.

Several typos and such in here; a nice slow readthrough should catch them.

p8 one too many 'to' words; maybe: "ever considering not killing her himself..."

Ooh, dang, I forgot to mention the "Nuse" thing last comment. Is that like, a hotel chain? Every town has a Nuse Inn? Like Motel 6? Tee hee.

    p19 business
also, random colon escaped from the colon factory into that sentence

p24 HOLY...what?? dude. DUDE. Now I'm getting really creeped out by Isaac here. Is he not human? What ISSSS HEEEEEEE?
although blacksmiths don't make swords, they make stuff like wheel hoops and horseshoes and such. Isaac wants a swordsmith or some other term. Ooh, weaponsmith, perhaps.

p43 ROFL! I love these two together! I hope Boo Boo comes back.

    • *snif* *snif* I am so very happy right now. you are the most entusiastic reader I've ever had thepleasure of reading m story. ^_^ your REALLY making me ant to continue to write it (arn it, right after I've started starting a differenet book) hee hee, thre is so much o reply to, I think I'll only reply to this one, though.

Yes, the nuses are somewhat lke a chain hotel, although, ot a chan buiness. It is simply tradition for all the nuse ys to pen an in under he nam "Nuse", usually they do. Nuse's have ots ofchidren, so they also have lots of inns

If I do continue this, I will first go back and edit, I am aing out the centaurs, they don't have any point anymore, and if I keep the fairies I will change where they are, Crystel doesn't need any wishes any more. Also, unfortunaty, in this cpy, I don't have nearly enough Boo boo that makes me o very sad, so that realy really neds t be fixed.

Oh... Isaac, dear dear I saac, now I truly do need to continue wriing so I may revil you to the required extent. Yes, yes, I will, indeedwrite (my ister won't be too happy though, she was looking forewad o nother book, but she'll live.) ^_^

I loved it! Really I did. I was still a little confused at first but I am stuck in a hotel room with three other people at the moment and am kind of distracted. I am eager for some action to happen though. Bring on the sword fighting! Heehee.

Okay, anyways, I did think some of the dialouge had an odd flow but I understand how hard it can be to make it sound natural. I liked the part "so open, so vulnerable… how tempting it was to not just knock her down, and rip his teeth through her warm flesh." It was a nice little detail that catches the eye.

    I'm going to read the next chapter now. :}

'...so open, so vulnerable… how tempting it was to not just knock her down, and rip his teeth through her warm flesh.' O.o He's horrible!!!

It's strange how he keeps not killing her, even though he wants to. Yay for the goblin! He rules, yes he does

Intrigued! Wai isn't he like other goblins? Wai? And why does he find her attractive?

You switched from past to present tense a bit, but the story still had good flow.

'All he knew was that that man was going to try and kill that girl. That beautiful, amazing girl, and for that, he hated him.' So why don't they attack each other already??? I'm a little impatient, lol. What are they waiting for?

Keep up the good work! Can't wait for le next post
