Me, My Mind, & Other Foggy Stuff

Option #1: My Face Image:1

My face image resembles a very strong veiwpoint I have.2

For me to describe to you my image's importance, you must learn a wee bit about me. Believe me, not going for narcissistic here. I often happen to wear a lot of black/dark-colored clothing, and often accessorize with dark wristbands studded with fake-metal designs.3

First glance impression: Punk Emo/Goth chick. Dark hair and pale skin doesn't help much.4

But see, my friends call me a Gothic anomaly. They say I'm as far down on the opposite end of the Goth spectrum as Britney Spears is to talent. I agree. I'm considered, in one word, hyper. I'm more likely to be giggling over something with friends than sulking in corners. But sadly, only my friends know this, and I often have to bear ignorant remarks because of this.5

Another reason for my face image is the fact that I am Asian. This other day, a girl in school was talking about some of my friends, saying, "Yeah, they're Korean [Asian], they're smart-asses."6

Even though I'm not a Korean, I thought that was a bit hard. That's not the only thing. This dark-skinned guy I know, Ryan, is actually a pretty awesome artist, but people assume he''s a retarded "gangsta". It pisses me off no end.7

Now I think the reason for my face image is clear.8

It's related to my username Tiger-Lily in a funny way. The tiger-lily flower is a symbol of pride. And I take pride in being what I am. I still wear dark clothing, punk bracelets and other stuff that got me labeled. 9

Option #2: My UserName: Tiger-Lily10

I take pride in being who I am, be it a"Goth" or a "punk" or getting labeled "Asian". I honestly couldn't care less what people think of me. The tiger-lily flower portrays it best, meaning simply pride.11

My username is related very much to my face image, as it states clearly that I despise, abhor and loathe stereotyping people. I've had enough of being categorized. I am me, even if I do dress like a stereotype sometimes.12

I couldn't care less what anyone says about me. 13

Very good. As what Elegant Inspirer said, "Asian power!" I, myself, am not Asian, but I treat people to utmost respect. If I do not like them, I still show the respect one way or another. I find "retarded gangsta" very harsh. People need to think before they say something about someone.

  • I love how you chose your username it has far more meaning then most. COnsidering changing my own when I can think of something to change it to. I hate stereotyples more then most since I've been stereotyped my entire life for things out of my control. I'm surprised this only got honorable in the contest.

  • Dude Asian pride!!! I am not asian but I love you guys I have asian friends and they are the coolest. Its a great write Tiger. I totally agree with you on everything.
