My Environment Friendly Poem ! (short story)

Sometimes I do share my poems with one of my colleagues at work. I print for Richard so he can read at his own leisure at home. One of the poems I wrote on the environment was very much appreciated by his partner Emma. I don’t think my poem was that good but she being an environmentalist liked the poem so much that she had it framed and hung it up in her Beauty Saloon to bring awareness among public. I was thrilled and chuffed for that my poem will be read by her's many clients.

A few days ago when I asked Richard how the business was running? He said, "The business didn't do well, therefore we had to close it down. But you know, you are still famous in our house. We remember you every morning. Your poem, the one we had in the saloon, we couldn't find any suitable place for it, so we decided to put it up in our toilet.” On hearing that I felt as if I was melting down the drain.

Thank you Richard and Emma... for making me flush !!!

Moral: Who knows what fate holds for us… and be prepared for the worst…
