One stormy night when the west was still free and mustangs roamed the land a beautiful yet cruel stallion was born. The stallion never got along with the other colts and fillies. He always got into trouble. The mares were always punishing him and the head stallion who was a beautiful and kind roan. When the colt was two years old the roan tried to run him out of the herd but the stallion challenged him. There was screaming, biting, kicking and rearing. In the end both horses were bloody but the black stallion won. He drove out the roan stallion and the two year old colts. He then let out a loud snort and galloped up to his post to watch over the mares and fillies. Everytime a horse got out of line or tried to run away he would always bring them back by nipping at their flanks and driving them back to the herd like a sheepdog would drive a sheep back to the herd. He always got the job done. Soon the other horses feared him and did what they had to do until one day a one year old bay colt who was his son went up against him finally sick of how his father treated the herd. The black stallion having more expierence had the poor colt on the ground in a submissive ball. The black stallion was challenged many times yet won each fight. He finally left the leadership spot to a pure white stallion when he died of old age. The pure white stallion was kind and treated the herd with respect as if he would do to himself. The herd mourned for a short time before following their new leader.
