Main Characters: Dylan and James(best friends and cousins)-17/18; and Catherine1

Dylan: born in Kentucky, grew up in New York2

James: born and raised in Kentucky3

Catherine: new girl in town, who both boys like4

Time/Place: Summertime in a small town in Kentucky5

Beginning: They're walking down a stretch of dirt road. They get to an old house, one that's been there since before their parents were born. There's talk that it's haunted, but Dylan's not so sure.6

Middle: They both meet a girl, Catherine. James likes her first and they start dating, soon Dylan starts to like her, doesn't say anything at first, but as time goes on he feels a pull to share his feelings. Things start to turn sour for the cousins and their friendship seems severed.7

End: After receiving a sort of challenge from Dylan, James goes to the old house. Dylan meets him there and they start fighting over Catherine, by this point summer's almost over and Dylan's about to start college. James has come to a point that he plans on purposing to Catherine. This plan slips to Dylan and the fight turns to the dangerous side of things, they start throwing punches. Dylan accidently pushes James out of a window, killing him. After realizing what he's done, he runs, running into Catherine on his way out. In the very end she finds a way to make him kill himself.
