Chapter 1 – Kyon and His Slaying2

Yuri and Fate had always been best friends, but they were demons high school demons. Or at least Fate was, Yuri was more like the angelic powered angel not demon at all but some how some way the demon and angel had become the best of friends never to separate. Weird huh? Well as much as they knew there were other people there like them too. Like Kyon he was seventeen, he wasn’t really a demon but he was a demon slayer. And he has a huge crush and Fate. There’s a problem though he does not know she’s a demon girl. Besides that Kyon has long black hair and dark eyes. One night he was out in the woods with nothing to do he had just slain a demon it had eight eyes, and three of them had fallen out. And the demon was fifteen feet tall. After he killed the demon he noticed another demon, It was a wolf demon, out of the corner of his eyes he saw it move and he immediately followed it but then the demon barked and he backed up a little to avoid getting hurt.3

“You got some problems? What’s the big idea slaying us demons?” She said. Later to Kyon’s surprise he would find out that the demon was Fate.4

“I do it for the money demon! You will never be normal and walk with the humans anyway!You’re all pathetic!” Kyon said5

The wolf turned and ran in the direction of the lake. Kyon followed and said.6

“I never noticed that before.” Kyon said7

Then the wolf jumped into the lake. But instead of a wolf coming up, it was Fate.8

“Fate?” He called9

“And you know me…how?” Fate asked10

Would Kyon tell her that he was a demon slayer?11

“Well,I’m Kyon from school.” He explained12

“You? … This is awkward.” She said13

“I could have accidentally killed you.” Kyon said14

“You could have never killed me!” Fate said.15

“Oh, really?” Kyon teased16

“Yeah I’m a wolf demon and you are a scrawny human from my school!” Fate said17

“Well I’m a demon slayer!” Kyon yelled18

“Well that was a dead give away!” Fate said19

“Oops.” Kyon said 20

“I think demons got lots more brains than humans!” Fate said21

“You so sure? I got a B in math and you got a C.” Kyon said22

“Humans are also self conscious and only think about they're23

selves!” Fate said.24

“I do think about other people!”25

“Like who?” 26

“You.”27

“You idiot! I’m a demon!!! What part of emon don’t you get? And I bet that was the biggest secret in your life!” Fate said28

“Maybe…OK yeah fine, I admit I like you!Happy demon girl?” Kyon asked29

She turned around and she met his gaze.30

“I could be happier...but I guess you could say I’m happy.” Fate said.31

Kyon looked surprised.32

“Hey you look cute when your surprised you know.” Fate said as she flicked him on the forehead. Suddenly there was a faint rustle in the trees as a figure with short blue hair and bunny ears came out of the trees.33

“Who is this Fate?” The girl asked34

“He’s Kyon from school.He’s a demon slayer.” Fate said35

“Kyon? Well you know what I think?” the girl asked.36

“What?” Fate asked37

“You two make a really good couple you should go out sometime.” the girl said38

“Well…” Fate blushed39

"Who are you?" asked Kyon40

“I'm Yuri!Now come on!!!!” Yuri nagged them on41

“Fate…do you want to be my girlfriend?” Kyon asked42

Yuri jumped up and down and started clapping.43

“Love to.” Fate said44

Yuri grabbed hold of Fate and pushed her into Kyon.45

“What you do that for?” Fate asked.46

“You two just make such a good couple!” Yuri exclaimed.47

Together they all went home. Kyon wasn’t at school for six days after the night he found out Fate was a demon. Fate wasn’t at school either. Yuri started to think.48

“What if he killed her?” 49

So when school got out that day she went past the lake and what she saw was,Fate laying on the ground with blood coming out of her body and when she transformed back his blade was already coming down her.50

“I’m sorry.” Kyon said standing there51

“I’m so sorry…” He whispered. Then Fate opened her eyes a slow tears fell down her face but were soon covered by blood from he wound. Then he fell on his knees.52

“I cant do it…I cant hurt you anymore. The assassins behind me have already hurt you so much.” Kyon said53

Then he picked up Fate and he ran away with her on his shoulder. When they got to his house Kyon set her down on the bed. 54

“How did they talk me into this?” Kyon said55

Fate was lying on this bed bleeding everywhere.56

The white sheets soon turned the crimson color of blood. Fate had her eyes closed and she was hardly breathing…the loss of blood was too much for her to handle. Kyon rushed out the room and got the first aid kit. He came back in the room and started to clean the wound, he used many bandages trying to get the wound to stop. Finally,the wound had stopped bleeding but was still pretty bad. He soon bandaged up her stomach with some bandages and some medicine. But he still did not know if she was to live she had lost a lot of blood. He started to wipe the blood from her face when she opened her eyes.57

“Why try to kill me…and then try to heal me…” Fate said58

“I never wanted to kill you.” Kyon said59

“Then why…why try?” Fate said60

“They made me…” Kyon said61

“Who Kyon…” fate asked62

“The organization I work for, somehow they found out that you were a demon and they wanted me to kill you or else they would kill my family.” 63

“But there still going to kill them if I’m not dead why don’t you just let me die?” 64

“True, they will try to kill my family…But its not worth you being dead its not fair for you to die for my family becauce of me.” Kyon said65

“But it’s not fair for you to lose your family becauce of me.”66

“Life’s not fair.” 67

“Are you saying…you care more about me than your family that raised you?”68

“I don’t know, all I do know is I’m not going to let you die.” 69

Fate closed her eyes and breathed in and out trying to get more air in her body; it was very hard for her to breath at the moment. 70

“Don’t talk anymore your wasting your breath you need.” Kyon said71

So Fate lay on the bed exposed to bleeding to death and Kyon was right there with her. Suddenly there was a light from the window and something hit Kyon and he fell on the floor and started to bleed from his shoulder where a small dagger had pierced his skin. 72

“Who are you and what do you want?” Kyon said73

Fate opened her eyes to see Kyon on the floor starting to bleed. 74

“Kyon are you OK?” Fate asked75

“Yeah I’ll be fine.” Kyon said76

Suddenly a girl with blue hair and bunny ears stepped in the room, It was Yuri.77

“Step away from Fate you traitor! Get away from her I wont let you hurt her anymore!” Yuri yelled 78

“No Yuri don’t he wont hurt me! Please Yuri don’t hurt him.” Fate said79

“WHAT? He almost killed you and now he’s treating your wounds? What’s wrong with you he could turn on you at anytime! I’m not falling for it!” Yuri said lifting up her staff of the angels.80

“Yuri no!” Fate said. Fate stumbled out of the bed holding her stomach but then fell over to Kyon and embraced him as shots of pain were sent up her back. Then Fate took the dagger in Kyon’s shoulder and pulled it out and flung it on the floor. Yuri’s staff went down and she frowned.81

“Why do you trust him? All of this could be a lie.” Yuri said82

“Because I just do its natural extinct I just feel safe.” Fate gasped83

Kyon picked her up and put her back on the bed and gave her some more water to drink. 84

“Aren’t your parents home Kyon?” Yuri asked85

“Yes they are why do you ask?” Kyon replied86

Yuri’s bunny ears faded and she went back to her original form so she looked like a human.87

“I don’t think they would like what they see if they came in this room. Do you think they would?” Yuri asked88

“Hmmm, Well my dad’s a drunk he wouldn’t care my mom would believe anything I say and my sister is the only one we have to worry about.” Kyon said.89

“Your sister? How old is she?” 90

“Sixteen, she doesn’t know I’m a demon slayer either nobody does accept you and Fate.” Kyon said91

So they sat there for a while and then Fate and Yuri dozed off into sleep and then Kyon finally relaxed. But then as soon as he changed Fate’s pillow that was covered in blood there were foot steps up the stairs of their house. Kyon did not notice the footsteps coming up the stairs. Then the door to the room opened and it was a tall girl with silver hair and pink highlights and black eyes. She looked from the two girls on the bed back to Kyon staring right back at her.92

“What did you do to these two girls? Why is the bed covered in blood?” The girl asked93

“Hina get out of my room now their hurt and tiered get out!” Kyon yelled94

“Make me…I’m not leaving till I know why there here and there is blood everywhere!” Hina said95

“OUT!” Kyon yelled. Then Fate started to roll over then she opened her eyes to see a girl across the room.96

“Who’s that Kyon?” Fate asked97

“I’m Hina Kyon’s sister. Why are you here and why is there blood everywhere?” Hina asked98

“Just get out Hina!” Kyon said and then Hina did as told and went out of the room.99

“Umm, Kyon.” Fate said100

“Are you really just lying and going to kill me later are you telling the truth?” Fate asked101

“I’m not going to kill you I don’t want to try to kill you ever again, why don’t you believe me?” Kyon said102

“I do but I don’t know that you’ll do it again for your family?” Asked Fate103

Kyon sighed, “You don’t and I don’t all I know is I don’t want to do it ever again I don’t like to see you hurt.”104

Fate smiled and Kyon smiled too. 105

“Thanks for saving me.”106

“I had to save you there would be no living without you.” 107

Then there was a loud knock on the door and then it opened. 108

“Go away Hina!” Kyon yelled, but then he turned around to see it was not his sister but the police Kyon shut his mouth and the man pulled out a gun. They stood there frozen and did not move.109

Chapter 2-The Escape110

"Your to come with us quietly,or we'll have to use force!!" said the smallest officer. "OMG!!!It's the return of the Jedi!!!Everyone run for your lives!!" Kyon said sarcastically. The truth was that the head officer,(the midget)was pretty embrrased because his troops were all taller than him,with longer guns.Rifles and such were to big and heavy for him. "Men,we'll have to use force!!" said the officer. "OMG!!!!Your a midget!!!" Yuri said.She had just woke up,so she had no idea what the heck was going on. "Yuri,these are the police officers.Police officers,Yuri." Kyon said. "This is neither the time or place to talk about that!!!" said Fate, weakly but angirily. "OK,OK,i'm sorry,get off my back!!" Kyon said in an annoyed tone. "Oh shut up!!!" said Fate. "Well,why don't you make me!?!?!" said Kyon angirily. "Because,i'm in bed with a hole in my shoulder!!!" Fate said. "Good point..." Kyon said slowly. "Of course it's a good point!!!" Fate said loudly and slowly. "Did i talk to fast for you?!?!" she said slowly. "No,as a matter of fact,you didn't.You said it at the exact pace i need you to." he said sarcastically. "OMG,what the heck are you two talking about in a time like this?!?!" Yuri said impatiently. "STAY OUT OF IT!!!!!!" Fate and Kyon yelled together. "*cries* Well you don't have to yell at me for it!" Yuri sobbed. "Oh,come here!!" said Fate. Yuri stumbled over to Fate, blinded by tears. Fate started comforting Yuri. "CAN WE GET THE IDIOT CONVENTION OVER WITH?!?!?!?" said the midget. "STAY OUTO OF IT!!!" said all three of them together. "Sorry,sorry..." mumbled the midget. Then Yuri Fate and Kyon heard the wall behind them start to crack. Then some guy came through a huge hole in the wall.He went over to Fate,picked her up,and went out through the hole in the wall. "Hey!!!Come back!!" Kyon and Yuri yelled together. They jumped out the hole and landed on the ground on their feet almost magically.Then they ran after the guy that had stolen Fate.He led them to a boulder.He hit the boulder on certain places,as if punching in a code,and then a door opened up in the rock,and the guy went in. Yuri and Kyon were inside just before the door closed. "Well,that was close!!" said Kyon. "We almost lost Fate!!" The guy was sitting in front of them,and putting fate on a mattress. She had fainted on the way to the hideout.The guy that had rescued Fate had black hair with a big white patch on his bangs.He wore a red shirt under a black leather jacket,and had gray pants.But the weird thing was,was that he looked almost exacly like Kyon!!!The only difference was that the other guy was older and his eyes were a light greenish-blue color. "Hey,Kyon.Haven't been seeing you lately.Oh wait,I know why!!Because you aren't a rebel!!" he said the last part coldly. "Well, i am now." Kyon sighed.111
