The not-so innocent, innocent one. [Chapter one: Bakura's mistake.]

Bakura's violet eyes were burning with fire, standing out starkly in regards to his white hair. His body stood tense in the doorframe, shadows dancing across his face in patterns, Yuugi gave a whimper and burrowed deeper into Yami, his head buried in the pharaoh's shoulder.1

"Tomb Robber." Yami hissed, animalistic rage clawing up from somewhere deep within. "What. Did. You. Do?"2

"I though that was obvious, Pharaoh." Bakura growled, if Yami looked carefully at the ancient tomb robber he could see a fight going on in his eyes. His host, Ryou, was trying to claw himself back to the surface.3

For ages Ryou hadn't bothered to fight, he saw what was happening to Yuugi and fought with everything he had. While he hated Bakura he never usually commented on anything The Tomb Robber did, seeing him hurting one of his friends went too far, so the boy fought. Yami passed Yuugi to Marik and stepped foward.4

"Tomb Robber-" Yami growled again but was cut off by a low moan from Yuugi. The abused man moved in Marik's arms and opened his eyes slowly. The glaze of his eyes proved him to be proof of his feverishness, plus the flushed cheeks and the head radiating off his body.5

Yami continued. "You made a mistake coming back and that will cost you."6

The sennen eye glowed on his forehead and a flash of light signalled Bakura's sennen eye had also appeared. The two ancient rivals glared at eachother as invisable strands of power weaved towards each other. Yami felt his power rear back then merge with the other strands before forming a whip-like shape which struck out at Bakura's cheek. Blood formed and dripped down his face in a stream, Bakura fell bakwards and gave a soft ouch of pain.7

Yami leapt over the body of his long-time rival, Yuugi was now leaning against Yami's back, his head nestled in the nook of Yami's neck. Yami bounded down the stairs and Marik followed after him, They got into Marik's car and they were off. Bakura had made a mistake in hurting his Hikari and Yami was going to prove that to him.
