cross-section of phil's mind

to those who know me already or have wandered through this as my author's page... here it is as a link to past and future changes... it seems like it might be exciting as i've almost been here a year... and needed a change... so enjoy if you have yet to meet me...1

Hi!! Welcome to a electronic mirror of poetically summing up my soul2

somewhat. In case you wonder, water caught in my camera's eye for this3

backdrop and symbolizes how I strive to just flow. Words fly from the pen4

so let them go.5

I am Phil. Therefore there I am. OR SO YOU THINK... Brodie seems to6

be my penname here because everyone calls me that... is that a compliment?7

Despite all complexities simplified & never summed up simply, here i stand8

Roles as photographer, writer, thinker (most times ) cynical joker,9

listener, musician, swordfighter whatelse life will throw at me. Please10

wake me when my time is up.11

My joy is in crazy artistic expression. I love it!!! Increasely12

realizing as well that a good part of my joy is in God. Hanging out with13

my friends too but art.... yum... You can find beauty in life,14

everywhere poetry in motion is happening. I try to slow it down a bit15

through a camera & a pen to notepad.16

Being pretty nonchalant and encouraging, I try and not judge others.17

Why they want to do change everyone? change yourself first. Can't really 18

look at cover of books and decide it looks too weird or boring. Those who 19

don't bother to see through all the surface tensions lose out. We all 20

experience sorrow and joy, no?21

Listening to that sorrow and joy, I think is part learning what it 22

means to be a storyteller. Everyone as having stories yet to be told, to 23

be enjoyed & appreciated. Grab a cup of tea & start a conversation. Never 24

know when one might learn next.25

On the other hand, critiquing and debating what you hear is awesome. 26

Checkit at www.poetryloverspage.com/ Reading classic stuff, get to know 27

literature. They really knew how to write. Critiquing makes you think & 28

analyze what makes poem or anything else work. So if it sounds harsh or 29

suck-up I'm trying to be honest and learn at the same time.30

I love to spark contraversy and will play devil's advocate for the hell of31

it. Don't take it personally and remember I'm strongly against a couple32

things. I'll try to fight unbiasedly and understand both sides of a story33

as a good photojournalist should do in my chosen career. Ignorence might be34

bliss, but I'd like to smack those fools sometimes with some good hard35

facts.36

Cheers to you who do and are bluntly critical of telling me where I 37

can improve. It takes some time, but it's worth it. Besides, I'll be 38

happier when I go to read your stuff. I don't have a clue where to start, 39

millions of poems here... oi... if I could only add a couple hours to a 40

day to just read and create... 41

Oh if t'were as easy to create time. Would you do it to try to find 42

more hours to fill? Or would time merely stand still? Anyways... If I 43

haven't caught up to you on returning a favour of writings, prod me. It's 44

only because I'm too swamped to even think about touching my computer. If 45

I am on, I'm really trying to keep it to school/business projects or 46

catching up with friends on msn.47

I find enough to do in my spare-time (what a paradoxial phrase eh) I 48

love music to chill to or play. Hardcore bit of dancing & moshing is 49

where I come alive. Playing hackysac or soccer, just keep me moving full 50

speed. Sword fighting is a new sport of mine suit me up & let me 51

smash someone tehehe... but it's also a touchstone to chivary and 52

history. Hanging out with my buddies, writing, and shooting photos is 53

when I'm most happy. I'd just as quickly turn around to listen to a 54

friend needing an ear.55

If you read this all, you rock *hugs* thanks for listening. take it easy & keep noworries.56

gooday57

p.s. find me if you wish, IM if you wanna talk more on msn or yahoo58

just be warned i'm out at school or work or partying or asleep. I will 59

totally answer any messages left though.60

JOHN 15:573

i'll think of more but those are my favourite74

"You must always keep in mind that a path is only a path. If you75

feel you must follow it, you need not stay with it under any76

circumstances. Any path is only a path. There is no affront to77

yourself or others in dropping it if that is what your heart tells78

you to do. Bu your decision to keep on the path or leave it must be79

free of fear and ambition.80

I warn you: Look at every path closely and deliberately.81

Try it as many times as you think necessary.82

Then ask yourself and yourself alone, on question: Does this path83

have a heart? Does this path have a heart that is the only question.84

If it does, then the path is good. If it doesn't then it is of85

no use."86

A Yaqui Way of Knowledge87

From the teaches of Don Juan88

That thought about paths has keep me strong through all highschool 89

and is still sitting on my desk tucked under my keyboard of my computer 90

if i lose my way and need to recheck.91

there's my crazy poet buddy jillosophy who wrote me a most wrongly funny 92

soooo not professional bit of photog poetry but it's one of the first 93

poems anyone's ever wrote to me so meh heheh94

There once was a guy named Phil95

who liked to take photos & chill96

He'd tell you, "Say Cheez!"97

As you were down on your knees98

And say, "if you want to, you KNOW that I will!"99

*nudge-nudge wink wink, say no more, say no more!*100

there's some people who will never learn...111

be sure to smack them for me, better luck next time112

how YOU doin!! how 'bout we hook up some time113

*smack from the best man*114

dude you're at the altar of your own wedding... you smuck!!115

it ain't right to check out the maid of honour!!116

~night at the roxybury~117

i don't understand that movie but it's soo the best line i've ever heard 118

for a wedding, wait... asides from my cousin... before his brother's 119

wedding he's like...120

"dude you shoulda seen her, all pretty and all..."121

(uhhh it's unlucky for the groom to look but yah buddy)122

"but she looked like she was going to puke"123

that's my cousin for you -- sorta encouraging and looney at the same time 124

coz his bro was all nervous lol125

btw... brodie??126

yes brodie from mallrats.. he makes an a$$ he makes of himself. it's 127

halirious.. when your funny bone is mutulated into twisted fun128

Jay: the easter bunny did that??129

Brodie: (with black eye and clutching stomach) all i said was the one at 130

the other mall was more convincing131

he just jumped the rail, it was an independent act of aggression132

Jay: he's fricken dead133

Silent Bob proceedings to smash up guy in suit while Jay rubs in verbal abuse134

Jay: (walking away after a final kick) kid there is no easter bunny anymore135

Yay for random threats!! Well actually it was the first bike I ever 136

bought. Maybe I dream of kicking an easter bunny's but though... hmmm it 137

was a beauty hardtail ride named brodie until someone nicked it off me... 138

bastard... cut a hand off sorri I don't think highly of thieves 139

coming after anyone's property. On second thought, I'd find Jay and 140

Silent Bob to kick his butt like an mall easter bunny.141

If you came and you found a strange man... teaching your kids to punch 142

each other, or trying to sell them all kinds of products, you'd kick him 143

right out of the house, but here you are; you come in and the TV is on, 144

and you don't think twice about it. -Jerome Singer, psychology professor145

turn off the dam tv and get open a book!!146

www.justforclicks.tk/ did an essay in photographs on anti-violence... 147

they speak powerfully. Go to portfolios and click on essays you find 148

antiviolence. Please write me or IM to tell me what you think. Take care 149

Rest of my photography is a bit happier, talk about shameless promo shame 150

shame!! I love to share my gift though. Totally write me on what you 151

think... Sometimes photos inspire writing... please feel free to write 152

away and link my photo if you wish. Just tell me if you do as I like to 153

see what happens to my photog when a poet sizes it up. Maybe someone'll 154

bug me enough to put up new pictures more often.155

if I forgot someone... you're still special and i'll fill in the 167

blanks as i find the right stuff to say about each of them it 168

takes a while, and i have to keep thinking too and read some more by them169

No endorsements nor hero cookies persauded me heheh it's more... if you 170
