Rose petals Ch.16

Another week gone by, and a busy one at that. Now Kurama and Hiei were sitting back relaxing on the couch as Hiei applied some lotion to his lover's stomach.1

"Hey Hiei." Kurama said.2

"Mm?" He asked. 3

"We need to sign up for Lamaze classes I'm due in another month." Kurama said.4

Hiei raised an eyebrow at that statement. La-what? What was this Lamaze Kurama was talking about? It didn't sound like a good thing to him because it could potentially endanger Kurama and the kits. But he didn't know as much about this world as Kurama so he just up and asked.5

"La what?" Hiei asked. 6

"Mmm...Birthing classes if you will its a class that shows different techniques to keep a woman relaxed during the laboring process through different breathing techniques, relaxing positions, and helpful items." She said. 7

"Hnn..sounds like a pain in the as-rear end." He said catching himself. 8

Kurama smiled knowing that would be the answer. Hiei's normal answer to everything. She smiled shifting her weight a bit to be more comfortable. Though there weren't really all that many comfortable positions to be in now, that she was almost in her final month of pregnancy. She had taken a liking to laying against a mound of pillows and keeping her feet elevated to keep the swelling and the back pains away. It meant less space for Hiei now but the fire demon didn't seem to mind it.9

"Your gonna not wear your image watch out in public?" Hiei asked. 10

"No Silly I got a private instructor to come over, I figured it'd be easier on me and the kits than to have us walk to the birthing center just for a few weeks worth of classes." She said.11

"Fine." Hiei said agreeing to it as he stood and kissed Kurama.12

The next day Hiei had been thinking about another alternative as he saw Kurama walk downstairs holding her stomach and got up going to her helping her down the stairs and brought her over to the table and helped her sit down in one of the chairs.13

"I'm alright...its just hard to get around...and these damned cramps." Kurama cursed.14

"And you tell me off for cursing." Hiei said and smirked. "How come you didn't just get Yukina or Genkai over?" Hiei asked hearing the doorbell. 15

"Hmm hmm." Kurama said chuckling. "Could you get that for me?" Kurama asked having a surprise in store for his lover. 16

Hiei blinked some knowing that chuckle all to well. His fox was up to something, whether it be good or bad...well it had to be good at least that was what he figured. Kurama didn't have the heart to do anything bad to him. Well she did and very well could considering she was a ticking time bomb of emotion now. 17

"What's behind the door?" Hiei asked. 18

"Just get it for me I can't really stand right now." Kurama said getting an apple from the fruit bowl and eating it.19

Hiei gave a curt hnn and went to the door opening it and blinked some at who it was. There was Yukina standing in her blue kimono, her hair down and out of its hair band for once.20

"Yukina." Hiei said. 21

"Hello Hiei...where's Kurama?" She asked walking inside. 22

"In the kitchen stuffing her face...are you this instructor she was talking about?" Hiei asked. 23

"You carry four kits and tell me your appitite doesn't increase tenfold." Kurama said a bit upset.24

Yukina giggled some at the cute display her brother and his mate were making. So it really was true. Though they bickered back and fourth sometimes it was in a way how they showed affection for one another. 25

"Here come sit down and we'll go through some breathing exercises." Yukina said as Kurama walked over Hiei helping her to get comfortable on the floor.26

After a few breathing exercises Yukina had them in different positions and then combined the breathing with the position. 27

"That's it, nice deep breaths." Yukina coached softly as Kurama lay against Hiei following Yukina's instructions as she rubbed her own stomach to calm the babies inside of her.28

Yukina soon brought a rather large ball that she found to be quite helpful to most pregnant women.29

"So what's the purpose off this thing?" Hiei asked helping kurama onto it. 30

"Depending on the position it can either help bring the babies further down the birth canal or it can help by rocking during particularly painful contractions." Yukina said.31

I want this at the den." Kurama said as Hiei smirked rubbing Kurama's back. "Alright fox." He said. 32

After the little private class with Yukina Kurama went upstairs to rest for a bit. She was trying to resist being put on bed rest as much as possible throughout her pregnancy. So far it had worked out well. While walking up the stairs she pressed her fingers against spots on her belly to see where the babies where positioned at. 33

It seemed two out of the four kits where in the head down position. The other two had yet to flip themselves. Kurama hoped they did in time so She could have a safe delivery. Walking into her room she sighed some looking in the mirror seeing Yoko's reflection instead of her own. 34

"Yes Yoko." She said and sat down. 35

"Anything else you want before I finally decide to show the short tempered, short of height fire demon the birthing den?" Yoko asked.36

"That ball." Kurama replied.37

"Already got that." He said. 38

"Hmmm then I suppose we have everything...thank you Yoko, I'm just sorry you and Kuronue couldn't....I mean." Kurama said. 39

"Save it, its in the past now no need to worry." He said disappearing as Kurama was looking at her reflection again and climbed in bed going to sleep.
