Oh, How I Love Him!

Princes Calliope was the most beautiful girl in her kingdom and she knew it too.Her long, curly brown hair and her dark, mysterious eyes were enough to make you cry, as did her smooth olive skin that was entirely perfect. She was as self-centered as a peacock, yet extremely intelligent. It didn't take a genius, though, to figure that she used that to her advantage. Surprisingly, it took her only one week to learn that she didn't need everything, she only needed one thing:love.........
"Oh,dear, where did I put my red gown?" yelled Calliope as the maids ran about, pleading for her to stop yelling and begging God to help them find it before she ordered them beheaded. She was going for a stroll with yet another suitor that her father had arranged to come visit. She wanted to look her best if she was going to turn him down while he cried at his loss of this beautiful girl.
"Why, daughter, I work hard at getting this suitor to come see you, and your running about in your nightgown! I had better hope that you're looking for the red dress that I bought you last week, considering you said you would wear it when your next suitor does come."
"Oh yes, Father, I am looking for that dress and I can't find it! Do you know where it is?"
"It's right there, on your vanity. Girl, you lose things much easily! Oh, here is that suitor now! Hurry and dress, for I hope that this new suitor does catch your difficult eye." It took this suitor only three seconds to learn that he needed to disappear and fast. His name was Logan, but all people ever called him was Prince Logan. It wasn't that he hated the title "Prince", but it was that his title meant he couldn't marry below him. If he fell in love with a girl that was below him, he couldn't marry her. So Logan(let's call him that) dashed into the nearest bush and caught the nearest farm hand.
"Hush boy, I mean you no harm. Just give me your clothes so I can slip away. I cannot marry this girl. Please, help me get away." The boy nodded his head and slipped behind another bush, gave his clothes to the Logan, gave Logan a bag to put his old clothes in, and took off to get another pair of clothes. Then Logan was caught by man who thought he was the boy who had the clothes on first, and was sent to walk and ensure the gardens were good enough for the prince and princess.
"Where is he?"said Calliope as she walked in the gardens alone. Then she saw him, a boy in peasant clothes, but handsome no less. He had straight, dark brown hair and the most emerald eyes she had ever seen. His muscles were commented in his shirt and his skin was olive like her's. His smile was white and perfect. She knew right away that she was in love. But what could she do? She couldn't just go to him and say,"Excuse me, but I'm in love with you." No, life didn't work that way. So she silently walked to him and said hello.
-Logan's POV-
"Hello."
I turned quickly and saw a girl with a veil covering her face. She was dressed prettily so I guessed that this was the princess. I bowed humbly like I had seen the servants in my kingdom do.
"Hello, Your Highness. What are you doing out on this fine day?"
"Oh,I was waiting for another suitor. I don't know what he looks like but I'm sure that he won't like me too much."
"Why ever not, Your Highness?"
"Well, because I fear I love another."
"Mind my asking, but who, Your Highness?"
"Alas I cannot tell you. Farewell, for I must away."
"Fare-thee-well, Your Highness." Wow, what makes her think that I would care who she loves? I'm not going to marry her.
-Later that night-
"WHAT!!!!!!!"
"Logan, dear, can't you try to be reason able. She's just a girl."my mother said.
"But I will not marry her!!! Never!!!"
"But dearest-"
"Don't but dearest me!!! I will not marry her!And that is final!! I ran to my room and fell fast asleep, wedding bells taunting me for my soon to be wedding.
-Calliope's POV-
I woke in the late morning with that boy still on my mind. What can I do to ensure that he knows who I am? I fell in love at first sight but did he? Then again, that veil was made so no one can see my face.
"You're awake, Your Highness. What do you want to wear today?" said my lady-in-waiting.
"Lenora, find me a maid who works in the garden immediately."
"Yes, of course,Your Highness."Lenora then brought the girl to me. I told her to give me her clothes, gave an old dress of mine to wear instead of her old clothes, changed into the girl's clothes, ordered Lenora to begin to train the girl to become a lady-in-waiting, and ran out to find her new love.
"Excuse me, But do you know where the princess is?" said a man that she couldn't see thanks to to his huge hat.
"No sir. May i ask who you are?"
"I am Prince Logan, her unfortunate betrothed."
"Unfortunate?"
"She wouldn't like me much."
"Why, may I ask, Wouldn't she like you?"
"Well..........."
-Logan's POV-
"I guess because I love someone else." How couldn't I?! This girl was gorgeous and, by the way her eyes sparkled, was a genius.
"Really? Well, Your Highness, I really must be going. Farewell."
"Fare-thee-well."Oh,man. I was in love and the wedding was tomorrow! What could I do?
-Calliope's POV-
Oh my! What am I to do? I'm in love with a peasant! But then, the wedding was tomorrow. All I had to do was request that all the people that work in the gardens to come and work at the wedding! But how? I ran as fast as I could to Father.
"Father, may I ask that all the workers who work in the gardens to come work at the wedding?"
"well....I don't see why not."
"Oh, thank you father! You're the best!...............I love you, Father!"
"YOU love ME! After your 17 years, you admit it NOW.Wow.O.K."
"Sorry, but Father, may I inspect them first?"
"Of course, Calliope. You look so much like your mother, dear, Alexandra"
"I miss her too, Father. Father, I have changed my mind. I have heard some people call their fathers' "Daddy", so you shall be Daddy, ok?
"Alright Cal, whatever you say."
"I like that, Cal.What a wonderful name."
-The Next Day, Before The Wedding-
"Alright Daddy. Where are the servants to be inspected?"
"Over there Cal. Now hurry."
"Alright." I looked at them all, but I couldn't find the servant boy. He must be in the kitchen. Oh well, time for the worst moment of my life.
-Logan's POV-
I looked all over, but I couldn't find the servant girl. Oh well time for the worst moment of my life.
-No One's POV-
Calliope walked down the aisle, where at the end an awaiting prince stood. Logan was as nervous as she was. Then suddenly, the two burst out what they were thinking, which, ironically, were the same, in unison.
"I'm sorry, and I bet you'd make a great spouse, but I love someone else. Huh? Stop copying me! Then you don't want to get married? It's all on you. I just want the one I fell in love with!"
"Would you stop copying me and hear me out?" said Calliope, ripping off her veil.
"Only if you will!"said Logan, ripping off his hat.
They looked at each other. Then, all of a sudden, started laughing.
"Abbott, just marry us before we die of laughter!" they said in unison. So the Abbott married them, and the two shared a longed needed kiss. To this day, they still tell their children of their mix-up. What, how do I know? Well...................1

"Eleanor, hurry up! It's time for dinner at your Grandfather's castle!"said Calliope, holding Logan's hand.
"Coming Mum! Coming Daddy! Am I really to meet my future husband there? Oh, please don't make me go?" said Eleanor as she ran to her parents.
"For an only child, you're not really all that spoiled. We'll buy you a new hawk."said Logan, letting Eleanor slip in between he and Calliope.
"Just as long as I don't have to kiss him."said Eleanor, screwing up her face as her parents grabbed her hands. Her mother and father laughed at their daughters strange face. As they ran to the awaiting carriage, Eleanor thought about how her Love Story would end.
"What is his name?"
"Oh, it's Joseph."
"Hmmmmmmmmm, Joey......................."
