Week 72

Mark sat next to a table he had a long white jersey wrapped around his body. He was cold. His arms were wrapped around him. The jersey’s sleeves were surprisingly long, but when it was so tight it kept him warm.
The beautiful girl in white came walking towards him. She had the smile of an angle.3

Her voice made him calm down. “So what made you come and visit?” She asked. 4

Mark recited the reason for him being there.
It all started a few weeks ago. He was sitting in front of a table just like this one…5

Week 26

In front of the computer was a boy with short brown hair, he had an athletic built body, with a dark tanned skin. He wrapped himself in a blanket and listened to a song…Their song.7

It’s been five weeks since he last saw her; seven since he last spoke to her.
The girl that stole this young warrior’s heart confused him. In his mind he saw this slender black haired beauty, wearing that beautiful white dress, with a kind face full of love and happiness.8

In his head, the rough seas of passion and love met confusion, pain and rejection. This 18 year old boy was totally lost inside.9

Slowly a tear caressed his cheek. It was the only thing that had touched his face the last month. Previously it was when his father had hit him. He remembered the blood that ran from his lip that night.10

In his mind he saw the girl he loves, the one who once loved him back. The tender smell of her skin still lingered in his head. Each time he smelled the fragrance of the shampoo she used or the perfume she wore, his whole body went numb. Then reality strikes, as his broken heart reminds him that she had left him. He still had her scarf in his cupboard, hidden in the back. He knew each time he saw it, it screamed of what had happen between them. 11

Mark got up, switched off the computer and went outside. His mood was so saddening it made the sun set. The pale pink and orange colors ran over the newly born night sky. 12

Never in his entire life had he reach a dead end like this one. Thoughts of suicide kept haunting his mind. Somehow the idea of cutting yourself didn’t seem so absurd after all.13

With the appearance of the first star Mark broke into a weeping mess. He sobbed and moaned while his entire body shivered. He couldn’t think. It hurt where that boy abused him. 14

Mark had never been in a fight but that night he just had to… He had to protect his decency, his innocence. Things like this don’t happen to guys. 15

Mark’s father heard the moaning. He stepped outside and saw Mark it sickened him from his inner core. His entire being shivered in disgust, his only son is crawled up in a bundle, crying, furiously. 16

His mind went blank. He could not be held accountable for what he did next…17

Out of the doorway walked a man 2m tall. His short and brown hair was in a mess. He used to be well built and strong, but all the pizza and beer gave him a fat belly.
His clothes were decent but wrinkled with his shirt hanging out. His eyes had a slight blue color. He looked as if he had just woken up with a severe hangover18

In a sturdy pase he walked toward his son. His steel toe capped boot kicked Mark in the face making him fall over. Blood spat on the walls and ground. 19

Eugene picked up his son and pressed him against the wall. In his mind the only thought he had was that a dangerous boy like this should be thought a lesson. He guessed the boy had an ill mind, because of the things he saw him do.20

He suffocated the boy as he lifted him up. With pulses of disgust he hit his son in the stomach. Then he kneed him in the ribs. Mark was numb with blood oozing out of his mouth. 21

Eugene slapped Mark through the face screaming: “You fucking gay whore. You’re a fuckup, you’re weak. Look at you… You are not even worthy to be called the son of that whore mother you had. Why don’t you go and stay with that fuck buddy that had sex with? I’m sure he will suck up all your shit.”22

The words struck harder than the fists. Mark’s mind was messed up. He lay on the ground too injured to move. The blood made his face and shoulder warm, he passed out. Ants came towards his half corpse. They drank the blood.23

The next morning Mark woke. The sticky blood stuck to his face. His body was bruised. Struggling to get up, he rolled over and felt the cracked rib. 24

He went into the house silently. Eugene lay on the couch passed out. He must have been sick of all the alcohol. He puked on himself and his mother’s favorite carpet.25

Mark was disgusted by the scene; he knew how much his mother liked that carpet, she once said that the carpet is the only place where you can lay down and go to rest, a peace that can last for an eternity…26

Silently he crept to the bath room and examined the scars. His face was swollen and his eyes were blue. A few cuts and bruises colored his upper body. The cracked rib was covered with blue skin. Mark had to go to school. He knew it was his only hope to become something in his life. He pulled on a long sleeved shirt and a thick jacket to hide the scars. He walked over to the room his mom used to stay in and opened her make up drawer. He knew he will be mocked later, but a mockery is better than people finding out about his problems at home. It might uncover the whole truth.27

By now mark was skillful in applying makeup to hide the scars. Besides he saw his mother do it countless times as they both hid behind a locked door.28

Mark walked to the alcohol cabinet, took the bottle of brandy and threw a white powder into the liquid. He has been doing it for weeks now. The taste might make his father to stop drinking. He knew his mom hated it when his father drank.
He took his bags, slowly moved through the front door and left. There was no use to look for breakfast, his father only works casually and then he spends all his money on alcohol and cigarettes. Mark did his own jobs to keep himself alive. With the money his mother left for him he could pay his school fees and the house they lived in. 29

Mark walked into the school yard. The first person he saw was the most beloved and most feared guy in school, Eric. Everybody liked Eric because he always bullied others and mocked them, everybody was too afraid to say or do anything. He had a reputation of hurting people real bad.30

Mark tried to hide his face from the people, but Eric saw him. 31

“O look every one here is mama’s boy. Look at him he’s wearing makeup again. When are you going to admit to us you are gay Mark? You’re already a cross dresser. One more thing; your clothes look like a tramp’s. Can’t your drunk of a father afford just to buy you more than one pair jeans?” The laughter of the people rung in the background… 32

Mark kind of got used to the mockery and stares he got at school. But he still couldn’t stand Eric’s face. 33

It reminded him of that night last week …34

Week 135

Mark had been walking from work. His heart sang, he was in love with an awesome girl, but in peoples eyes it was wrong to love a girl that is much older than you. He knew his father would come back from him business trip tonight, which is good, he wouldn’t be drunk. But his mother would at least have made him a decent meal. 36

As he approached the house he saw Eric walking alone. Deciding to be polite he gave a soft shout: “Hey Eric…” 37

Eric jumped and looked up. His face was filled with tears. His father just caught him watching porn, gay porn. He would never forget the reaction of his dad. He just took him by the throat. Dragged him to the front door and kicked him out. The only words he spoke were: “…you are not my son any more. Don’t come back again.”38

Eric was filled with confusion. He didn’t choose to be like this. Hate boiled up inside of him.
The hate was taken over by an unstoppable lust as he saw Mark from school approaching. Eric’s mind couldn’t function normally. He was a lust controlled demon. 39

Mark saw Eric looking up. His face wet. Eric’s eyes flared and he walked over the street. Mark felt Eric’s hands taking him by the chest. He threw him into the busses. 40

Mark tried to fight back but he was powerless against the first team’s fullback.41

He felt Erick loosening his pants, then taking it down. Eric tore Mark’s Shirt off. 42

Mark stood naked. With aggressive force Eric raped Mark, mark cried as he felt the blood oozing from his body. His innocence was stolen from him.
He started to scream when he saw car lights. A car parked somewhere in the direction of his house. Someone was approaching… 43

Eugene stopped at his house he had just arrived from his business trip. When he got out of the car he heard soft mumbling sounds. It sounded as if someone was trying to scream with a hand to their mouth, or it could be someone moaning. Sounds like sex Eugene thought. He walked towards the bush near his house. Slowly he pulled away the bush branch to uncover the source of the noise. The sight made him stagger. On the ground was his son, and some boy having sex … Eugene didn’t know what to say. He turned around and ran into the house. Mark’s “sex partner” came running out of the bushes as he entered his yard gate. 44

Eugene crashed open the house’s front door, he was furious. He walked up and down in the house slamming his fist against the walls. His rage grew as the thought and the sight he saw kept appearing in his mind. Eugene picked up the dining room table, smashed it against the wall. One by one he picked up the chairs and slammed it against the walls.45

His wife, Joan walked into the room on account of the noise. “What the hell are you doing?! Are you drunk again? Get out of my house you have no right to break my stuff…”
Joan a well aged woman with long black hair had a kind face full of love usually. She wore a long white dress. She loved her husband, Eugene a lot but despised him when he was drunk.46

Mark was broken he felt disgusted and dirty. He still had blood on his pants and mutt on his hands. He knew that the face of his father he saw would mean trouble. He heard the crashing and smashing inside of the house. As he entered the yard the screams became clear. He heard his mother scream and ran into the house with tears in his eyes. Broken stuff lay all over the floor. His entire body trembled. When he got into the lounge he saw Eugene with a chair in his hands…47

Joan saw Mark coming into the kitchen she knew something was wrong with Mark. He looked as if a train just hit him. The screams from Eugene made her frown… “You gay fuckup… you are not welcome in my house. Get out!” Joan shivered at the words her husband screamed at her son. She saw Eugene picking up the chair and struck Mark over the head. Stumbling Mark fell towards her. It made her fall backwards. Behind Joan laid a broken piece of the lounge table’s leg. 48

Joan felt the splinters protruding into her dress. The wood ripped the left lung and tore out her lower right heart chamber. In an instant she was dead. The anger of one man cost the life of the innocent woman. 49

Eugene’s eyes widened. In front of him lay his dead wife. “Look what you did Mark. You killed your mother!” 50

Mark fell down next to his mother’s body. “I didn’t mean to mommy, you know I never meant to hurt you…I didn’t want to fall…Promise. O! Mom don’t die! I love you. I didn’t mean to kill you…”51

Mark knew his father was right. If he didn’t fall over mother would still be alive.52

The sirens took over Marks thoughts. Police took him away…53

Week 554

55

Mark was back in school. Police still gathered information and he could not be charged, they let him and his father go for the time. Everybody knew what had happened. Whispers followed him. He didn’t really care what people thought. The images and scent of blood still remained, haunting his conscious. He knew he was labeled for his mother’s death. He was a murderer. The court postponed the case till more information could be obtained. 56

Mark walked into the class. Eric stood there with a grin on his face. “Hey Mark I herd you raped some guy.” Ironically Eric smiled…“Its true” exclaimed one of Eric’s friends. “I saw the whole thing.”57

“Did you kill your mother after you killed your rape victim?” Eric was laughing out loud for his own comments. Before Mark knew what had happened he was on top of Eric holding a pair of scissors in his hand, pressing it against Eric’s throat. The flash of a camera brought him to his senses. 58

Mark ran out of the class.59

The next day Mark was in the paper, front page. The heading: “Accused killer marks next victim”.60

Mark couldn’t care less. He knew he didn’t mean harm to any one. 61

That night, Mark got home he walked towards the cat, he picked him up, he looked up into the face of his father. He got a fright and his emotions took over. His father threw a fist at him; mark dodged, and lost his temper. He picked up a bottle and broke it over his father’s head. Eugene fell to the floor. Semi-conscious.
Mark took the head of the bottle and started to stab his father. The horrifying screams of his father made him scarred. Mark took the bottle and cut off the cat’s head. He took the head and shoved it down his father’s throat. With the bottle head he smashed it down his throat till the screams silenced down. Next he dissected the head of his father, and threw it in the fire. The blood stained his mother’s favorite carpet.62

Mark walked into the shower and washed off the blood. He smiled with relief; he knew his problems were clearing up. 63

After washing up mark had a meal. The smell of blood made him hungry. Mark took his food and sat on his mother’s favorite carpet. His shoes were stained with crimson. When he was on the carpet mark felt closer to his mother. He knew he only did his mothers will. She loved her husband, with all his short comings. She never wanted to be separated from him, after all Eugene now joined her in the afterlife…64

65

Week 666

67

Mark woke the next morning. He was ready for school the first time in the past weeks. He was ready to face Eric. He got ready and left for school.68

Entering the hall way, he saw Eric.69

With a smile Mark walked towards Eric. He gave him a hug and pierced his lung with the knife he had in his hand. Eric jumped and screamed with pain. Every one ran away. Mark bit out a piece of Eric’s neck and started to chew it. Eric fell to the floor, dead. 70

Mark was taken down by campus security. He was arrested for murder.71

Week 772

73

The white jacket was real tight around Mark’s body. The nurse in white checked to see if the boy was secure, these straight jackets should be strong enough to hold the boy.74

She wanted to be kind to the boy; it might help his mental illness.75

“So what made you come and visit?” She asked. She opened the patients file.76

In the file the psychiatrist wrote:77

This boy is very disturbed. He drugged his father for months claiming he was drunk. The reason is still not clear but test have shown that the boy was in love with his mother, and the motive for his mothers murder was jealousy.78

Here is an extract from "wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychoanalytic_concepts_of_love_and_hate" To explain the illness this boy suffers from.79

"During the pre-oedipal stages ambivalent feelings are expressed in a dyadic relationship between the mother and the child. In the oedipal phase, ambivalence is experienced for the first time within a triangular context which involves the child, the mother and the father. In this stage, both the boy and the girl develop negative feelings of jealousy, hostility and rivalry toward the parent of the same sex, but with different mechanisms for the two sexes. The boy’s attachment to his mother becomes stronger, and he starts developing negative feelings of rivalry and hostility toward the father. The boy wishes to destroy the father so that he can become his mother’s unique love object. On the other hand, the girl starts a love relationship with her father. The mother is seen by the girl as a competitor for the father’s love and so the girl starts feeling hostility and jealousy towards her. The negative feelings which arise in this phase coexist with love and affection toward the parent of the same sex and result in an ambivalence which is expressed in feelings, behavior and fantasies. The negative feelings are a source of anxiety for the child who is afraid that the parent of the same sex would take revenge on him/her. In order to lessen the anxiety, the child activates the defense mechanism of identification, and identifies with the parent of the same sex. This process leads to the formation of the Super-Ego."80

I believe the boy was jealous on his dad for the attention the dad got from the mother, and then he drugged the father and abused his mother. In the end the only way he could make her stop loving him was by killing his mother. The boy’s father tried to stop the child by punishing him, but the minor scars did not stop the boy. In the end the father tried to control the child but it leaded to the murder of his father.81

A witness, saw the boy on his way home and asked for help, Mark raped the boy and intimidated him to keep quite. However Eric came forward and explained what happened, When Mark discovered Eric knew he murdered the Eric. 82

Mark claims that he is a victim in the whole situation. It is clear to me that he does not think rationally and is a danger to any person near him.83

He is charged with three premeditated murders. And is to be counseled, and held in the psychiatric ward till any further improvements.

There were a few grammar mistakes, and it was a bit confusing at times since I couldn't really picture the characters (that's just me, though), but all in all it was very interesting and definately disturbing. Nice twist, though, I didn't see it coming.

    Thanks for entering!

Yeah, this definitely had a twist Many grammar flaws, but he storyline was brilliantly developed. When i thought i knew where it was going, it turned. Very well done. I especially liked how you did the end, using notes from a doc's chart to explain everything. Sick guy. Wow. Definitely interesting and enjoyable. I found that i was wishing he would find some peace. Even in the end. I hoped he would find peace in his mind. Sad the way things turned out for him. Had no idea he was a killer.

    Wonderful job!

    I enjoyed it!~
