the space adventure

On the 25th of October my family and I were going to space. We were going to see the moon it had some good rocks we wanted to keep them for research. 1

We packed our space suits packed our dehydrated food and packed our water vapour in case we had a fever. My mum was the driver of the space shuttle we are all hoping she doesn’t fall to sleep on landing.2

I was getting off the plane and I saw the Shuttle and I said, “Whooh there’s the shuttle we are going in. “Mum are you alright about driving?” 3

“Yeah I’m o.k,” mum groaned. We got to NASA and mum said,4

“We are going in ten minutes right?”5

“Yes we are” I said. We were walking towards the shuttle and the coordinator of the space station said,6

“Hope you have a great time on the moon.”7

“We will,” we all said. 8

The space counter counted 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 blast off we were on our way to space finally. We all have been waiting for this for years. I was up the front with my mum she was really scared. Dad was down the back with the dog Sootie, she was all clumped up in a ball. 9

We are out in space it looks so cool we are already having a great time we are so tired we don’t even know what time it is. From where we are I can see all the planets and the Earth looks weird. The feeling of being weightless was cool and you got to float around the cabin. 10

I’m glad I did my junior space training course.11

2 DAYS LATER 12

We finally got on the moon. Sootie was giving birth to her pups in the hole in the moon they are so cute. I picked up a pup and called it Spacey Rick called his Serry Dots, Dad called his Tootsy and mum called hers George. I went exploring I found a floating bit of a space craft I kept it. I saw the Earth. After a while I couldn’t see America any more it was Australia I could see. I went back to the shuttle and had a rest because I had a heavy space suit. I did a few repairs to the heat shield it had a few melt spots. We had 2 days left before we went back to earth. I had a feeling it was going to be for ever. 13
