The Little Boy who was Visted by Aliens

Once upon a time there was a little boy named Anthony. He had brown hair, hazel eyes and a tiny dimple that appeared when he smiled. He liked to wear his Giants baseball hat every day. He liked to play soccer, watch baseball and listen to music with his mother. He was seemingly a happy child. But Anthony was lonely. He didn't really have anyone to play with. 1

Then one day as Anthony was playing in his room, he heard a loud crash in his backyard. He ran down the stairs and rushed out of the house. 2

As soon as Anthony stepped outside his eyes grew wide. 3

He saw something that he thought he'd never see. 4

A real life space ship. His astonishment grew as he saw two tiny green men step outside. Each alien stood about three feet tall and had four arms and three eyes.5

"Jeez Puter, why don't you watch where you are going." Said one of the aliens.6

"What? If you had read the stars right, we wouldn't be here Malka." Said  Puter.7

"Um...excuse me" said Anthony trying to get there attention. As the aliens turned to stare at the little boy. 8

Anthony cleared his throat and began to speak "My name is Anthony. I live here. You must be a long way from home. Where are you from?" he asked9

"We are from the Planet Zaltrax. It is three light years away." responded Puter.10

"Wow. You must be hungry, can I get you something to eat or to drink?"11

"That would be great kid." said Malka. "Do you have any cats?" he asked hopefully.12

"Cats?" asked a stunned Anthony. "Why do you want a cat?"13

"Because that's what we eat." Said a hungry Puter. 14

"You eat cats!!!! That's silly. Well, you can't eat my cat." Anthony cried "It'll make my mom sad. You can eat some left over meatloaf though... My uncle says that it taste like a cat."15

Anthony said laughingly. 16

"Good enough" said both Puter and Malka.17

They went inside to eat the meatloaf that tastes like cat. 18

Once they were done they went back outside to view the damaged spaceship. 19

"Do you think it'll still fly?" Anthony asked.20

"Yeah" Malka replied. "We should be able to get it to the nearest space station."21

"Oh" said a disappointed Anthony. "Could you stay and play a while first?" he asked in a hopeful voice.22

"What's play?" asked a confused Puter.23

Anthony giggled. "I'll show you." he said grabbing Malka by the hand. 24

He taught the aliens how to play soccer and how to build a fort. 25

Time flew by as the new found friends played. 26

As it started to get dark Anthony realized that it was time for Puter and Malka to get home. 27

"It was very nice meeting you both" Anthony said to his new friends. "Anytime you want to play...." he continued.28

"Thank you for teaching us Earth games" Malka replied. "We'll definitely come back someday. That cat-loaf was great."29

Anthony laughed as the aliens climbed aboard their spaceship. Waving goodbye he watched his friends head for home.30

That night as Anthony was getting ready for bed, he told his mom about his new friends. 31

"That's great honey." She said as she kissed him goodnight. Walking out of the room she smiled and continued "I'm glad that you have such a wonderful imagination."32

At the sound of his laughter she closed the door.33

The End.34

Thank you for the comment on The Little Boy Who Was Visited by Aliens. This is definitely a children's story. The thought that his only friends left him and his mom doesn't believe in him.... that's really sad. It was meant to illustrate that although a child is afraid of something or someone that is different he can overcome that fear and find that he has made good friends in the process. Anyway, I'm glad that you liked it. My son actually came up with some of it.

~that was a nice story. I dont know how i am wanting to interpret it though, as a childrens story...or to think that his onlt friends left him and his mom doesnt believe him...hmm...either way i really did enjoy it. Thank you. Good luck in the contest!

Thank you so much for your comment. I can't tell you how wonderful it made me feel to know that I caused a four year old to throw a tantrum in public . I am working on publication as well as a third story. My six year old son is the inspiration behind all of the stories and he has plenty of ideas for more stories. If you send me a message with your nephew's name and a brief description of him, I could write a story just for him.
Thank you again for your wonderful comment.

    very entertaining

I believe this is a great story for children too. It seems to me you should be able to publish it. However, all my praise for it couldn't mean as much as the 4 year old's critique mentioned in the above comment. The fact that a reader wanted it in a bookstore is the bottom line, after all. Great job! ~Weldon

Kat, you definitely found your niche! you write children's stories with great flair and imagination! I laughed right out loud with the meatloaf that tasted like cat, how funny is that??, well written, great flow, I printed out both of your stories and plan on reading this one to my 4 year old Nephew as well, he loved the "Little Boy Who Was Afraid Of The Moon" and had a temper tantrum in the middle of Barnes and Noble because they didn't have the books on "Antnee" as he calls him, I don't know Kat, you'd better get this series published or my Nephew will have a fit in every book store on the East Coast!!! LOL!!

This is pretty good, though I think the beginning has a little too much detail to keep a young child's attention, I also think the use of the word astonishment might be a little off, maybe use amazing instead, more young kids will know what that means. Overall very good though

I enjoyed this immensely, KatSanchez. As Granny Goose
I am starting a children's column for our AllWrite Magazine and would love to feature this in our next issue. I might even be able to get into the current one if they haven't already put it all together. Okay with you? I need to know right away if I want to try to get it in the February issue.
I did notice a misspelled word....hungary should be hungry.
It's a delightful story and I think the kids will love it.
