"I can't do this anymore," Sam Catle told his girl friend. "I think we need to go our separate ways for a little while at least."
"Separate ways?!" Lane Briant exclaimed. "You've got to be kidding Sam?"
Sam just stared at her.
"SAM!" She said her voice rising, "We've been together for two and a half years."
Sam just kept staring at her. Lane almost growled she was so mad. How could he be so calm she wondered.
