The beginning Part 2

“Yes” she admitted with tears now flooding down her cheeks. “I know I shouldn’t of but I think I’ve done more then I thought I was possible of doing.” As he rolled up the sleeve of her blood red jumper I saw something that even made me cry. 1

“That’s my name?! Teaire, why this?? You should of and could of come and talked to me. Oh babe.” I couldn’t help but pull her into my arms. My perfect angel has a massive secrete. 2

“I didn’t think that you would have understood or want to still be friends because of my feelings…. Toni can I ask you something personal?” she had now stepped back and was staring me straight in the eyes. Not even waiting for an answer she went on to ask “Are you s lesbian? I don’t mean to be rude with asking but I just need to know.”3

“Um…”leaning over so no one passing would hear “Yes I am but no one knows not even Mark and they can never know”4

I could tell she wasn’t expecting that answer as she took a step further back and just stared like I had told her she was going to die. Then just as fast as I could blink she started hugging me. I wasn’t expecting what happened next. It shocked me more then me telling her I was a lesbian. I put my hand on her check to wipe the tears away then our lips met. I couldn’t break the connection, I had no control over what my mouth was doing. It felt perfect. I soon realised that she was kissing me back with just as much passion.5

Ding!! Ding!! Ding!! 6

“Fuck is that what I think it was? Sorry Teaire bout that. I didn’t mean to, um, well yeah sorry.” I said stepping back. “Meet me at the back gate after school. I want to talk to you more.” 7

I could see she didn’t know what to do. She was just standing there with this look on her face like she still didn’t know what had just happened. 8

As the day went on I felt like nothing could upset me. Not even my mean old maths teacher Mr Tong. He was the worst teacher anyone could have. His long grey hair and semi trimmed beard were always untidy and dirty. He always wore the same long brown pants and multicoloured short sleeved shirt and ugly grey formal shoes which everyone thinks came from like the 1800’s.9

As I slowly walked to lunch I couldn’t stop thinking about Teaire and what had been said. I was happy that she told me about her feelings but I couldn’t stand the thought I had kissed her when I knew she her boyfriend is my best mate. In my absent minded state I didn’t notice that I was 5 seconds away from running into running into an open door. 10

“Toni watch where you’re going!” That’s all I heard before I ran into the door.11

“Fuck!!! That hurts like a mother fucker!!!”12

“Can you please stop with the swearing, it’s starting to annoy me.”13

“Yes mother dearest, anything for you!” I said getting back on my feet.14

“Are you planning on talking to Mark anytime soon? I know your upset but he’s worried about you.”15

“What am I meant to say? Hey I’m in love with your best mate and I want to be with her not you?”16

“Teaire you know that’s not what I meant!! How about... Hey Mark sorry I haven’t been around lately. I’ve had a few things going on lately and I had to sort a few things out.”17

“How come you can think these things up so easily? Its way too natural! I think we better get moving before Mark gets the shit with both of us!”18

Hey Babe, Hey Toni. How are my two favourite girls going? I didn’t see you in maths Toni, where were you? I had to sit next to that kid who likes burning shit!”19

“Lol, mark I haven’t been in a Maths class since the start of the year. I was in the out of order bathroom with a few chicks having a smoke.” I just lied to my best mate about where I was. I never thought I would lie to Mark ever but for some reason I could feel Teaire getting nervous as Mark asked where I was. I couldn’t have told the truth, could I? 20

“I thought you had quit? Or did you just say that to get me off your back?”21

“Bit of both really. I had quit and it was what you wanted me to do.”22

“You know those things are going to kill you faster then anything else?!” 23

“Na I didn’t realise that inhaling toxic fumes would kill me, I am so lucky you told me! I could have gone my whole life with out knowing.” Mark was a great guy and all but he had a habit of pointing out the obvious why to often. We went on arguing about the facts of smoking and the affect it has on your mind and body for what seemed a good 20 minutes before Teaire had had enough.24

“Do you two ever shut up?! You guys are giving me a headache!”25

“Yes mam we do but this is so much fun!” I said bowing my head and slamming my hand on the table making everyone stop talking and look towards our table. 26

“Yes babe I’ll be quite but Toni can’t. She doesn’t know how to.” 27

Ding!! Ding!! Ding!!28

“Bloody hell I’m getting sick of this school crap! I don’t want to go to class! Either of you to have a spare or want to just wage the next two lesions?” I said rubbing my hand trying to get feeling back into it.29

“I don’t have to. I have a spare but I’m planning on going to the library so I don’t think you would want to come.” Teaire said with this look in her eyes like she was thinking about something, I just couldn’t figure out what.30

“Na I can’t come. I have to go history, we have a test or some shit. It’s just a load of bull anyways!” Mark said looking towards me with a look of disappointment in his eyes.31

“Damn Mark you really take this school stuff serious don’t you?! I haven’t known you to skip a class or anything since you and I skipped that sports day 4 yrs ago!”32

He just looked at me to say that he wanted to so bad but knew if he did he would cop it so bad if he it his rents found out.33

“Fine you don’t have to come if that’s the case.” I said as I walked behind him and hit him on the shoulder.34

“Okay Toni lets get going the sooner we get to the library the sooner we….I can start studying.” Teaire still had this look in her eyes that told she was making a plan in her head and she was going to fulfil it. 35

As we walked to the library Teaire’s hand had found its way to mine and I was holding it without even realising it.36
