On the second day, God said, “Let there be firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters,” and it was so. And God made the firmament, which he called Heaven, and God saw that it was good.2
It was on the third day that God said, “Let the waters under the heaven be gathered into one place, and let dry land appear,” and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth, and he called the gathering of the waters Seas, and God saw that it was good. Then, God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass and trees,” and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass and trees and fruit, and God saw that it was good.3
It was on the fourth day that God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for seasons, and for days, and for years; and let them be for the lights in the firmament of heaven to give light upon the earth,” and it was so. And God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night, and he also created the stars. So God set them in the firmament to give light upon the earth, and God saw that it was good.4
On the fifth day, God said, “Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.” So God created great whales and a mass of other sea creatures along with fowl that flew in the heavens, and God saw that it was good.5
On the sixth day, God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature, cattle, creeping thing, and beast of the earth,” and it was so. And God made the beast of the earth, the cattle, and everything that crept upon the earth, and God saw that it was good. Then, God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” So God created man in his image, along with a female, and he gave them dominion over all the earth, and God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.6
But the thing about something being good is that it never lasts…7
Chapter One 8
Shadows ran across her face and along her body, creating a series of designs that danced along the flesh as a soft breeze lifted the verdigris leaves of the earth. Adam smiled as he watched his wife run through the peaceful wilderness, grabbing a series of flowers to adorn her hair with. The woman laughed and turned to the man, saying,9
“Adam, why must you be so sullen all the time? Smile more,” and smile he did. He smiled as he watched the sun bounce through her golden tresses. He watched as those golden hues danced with the sway of her hips as she went back to enjoying the garden God had so wonderfully created for them. Adam felt his heart quicken as Eve made her way back toward him, a handful of brightly coloured berries in her hands. Upon her return, Eve set the fruit upon the ground, picking one up between her slender fingers, before placing it between the man’s lips. He took it gently, sucking on her finger tenderly.10
“Delicious,” he purred as the blonde reached for another one. Now, this is what a woman was supposed to be like: peaceful, placid, beautiful, second to man. Adam took another berry from those adoring fingers before kissing her fondly while a crimson line rolled down his lip from the berry’s overabundant juices. Eve smiled and wrapped her arms around the man, feeling the hardness of his muscles when her tongue flicked out to slowly lap up the sweetness that was issuing along his lip, and her fingertips played with the wild strands of chestnut. Adam gave what many would call a devilish smile and with a hushed whisper of “Mine,” Adam rolled the female onto her back, pressing himself against her. Eve let out a sharp squeak as all that muscled strength held her petite form down. He mounted her, moving her hips to get a certain message across. As always, her legs spread after he had sent his message and Adam let himself slip inside, working his seed, not knowing that they were being watched more closely than usual.11

A pair of bright, yellow eyes watched the scene from behind a couple of Tindora trees, shading the creature from the humans’ view. Not that they would really care. They were just a bunch of animals after all. They looked like the Creator… so what? It didn’t change what they truly were: two legged beings that were barely a step above all the other beasts God had created. He wrapped himself around the trunk, smiling to himself before dropping the beast and taking flight.13

Many suns had set since that day, and things had continued on much like they had. Series of birds chirped their harmonious melodies while deer frolicked through the meadows, and a tiny fawn wobbled behind its mother, trying to keep up. The white spots were nearly vanished by this time, and Eve couldn’t help but smile as she watched the two. Locks the colour of sunshine draped over her shoulder, and she idly played with the strands as a soft tune vibrated through her lips. Azure orbs the colour of the heavens sparkled as she continued to watch the landscape. Suddenly, the blonde let out a shriek as a red squirrel fell on top of her head from the oak above her. It scrambled about on her leaving diminutive scratches from its claws as it tried to scurry away in a hurry. Meanwhile, in the trees above, the other squirrels seemed to be chittering in laughter and joy as they viewed the entertainment.15
Adam came rushing over as soon as the cry had erupted, his tanned arms wrapping around the body. He could hear her heart beating frantically in her chest, threatening to escape the confined cage in had been constricted to. He pulled her close, his hands rummaging through her hair as he anxiously asked,16
“Are you all right? Are you hurt?” Eve looked up at her lover and replied,17
“I’m fine. An animal just startled me; that’s all. It scratched me up a bit, but they would have healed before you even got here. You worry too much. You know we cannot be harmed here. We are the closest thing to our Lord. He’s not going to let harm come to us.” Then, she smiled at him and kissed him gently. Adam returned the smile and pushed Eve onto the ground. Eve could feel the sharp blades of emerald grass prickling against her sensitive skin, causing her to squirm for she had started to itch. Meanwhile, Adam’s long chestnut hair tickled the edge if her breasts while he better situated himself. The trees around them rustled as both wind and animal rushed through them, and sweat soon started to roll down their flesh while the morning light shine down on them from the zenith.18

Large, soft, feathery wings of alabaster were folded back while a pair of eyes watched the scene below. Their colour was quite unique: not quite grey yet not quite blue either, icy in a way yet much duller, almost like a thick ice in the winter that matched the smoky skies above it. Long, blonde hair flowed down to his lower back while the front pieces were brought back over the loose hair to form a French braid. The angel watched a bit longer before spreading his wings to take flight. He flew upward until he came upon the seventh heaven, Araboth, that held the throne of God. A multitude of seraphim and cherubim surrounded the host, covering the heaven in a nearly blinding light. Notes of peace, bliss, and holiness sprung into the air to create a harmonious tune that filled the soul with every great enjoyment and fulfilment. The archangel shielded his eyes and stepped toward the throne when he heard a voice issue from it.20
“How fares my creation, Zerachiel?” The angel bowed his head and replied,21
“Everything is wondrous, my Lord. Your trees and herbs are a lush green, full of health and life, as are your animals. They do just what you said. They multiply so that their kind may survive when Samael takes the originals away. Your project is better than one could ever hope for.”22
“Everything is going well then?”23
“For the most part, my Lord. The humans are having some problems with the reproduction, but –”24
“It is not their time for that yet,” God interrupted. “Adam and Eve will be long lived and so will their kin therefore nothing is amiss. You may go back and maintain your duties, Zerachiel.” 25
Then, Zerachiel bowed his head once more and uttered, “Yes, my Lord,” before flying off.26

The moon was high in the night sky, and a few hundred bright green scales scraped the rough bark as the reptile slowly made its way up the tree. Its long, lean body settled on a branch, curling around it to make sure it did not fall off. A forked tongue flicked into the air, picking up life’s vibrations since its slitted pupils would be no good for looking into the darkness. It picked up on the vibrations of the two breaths that left two sleeping bodies. They were so beautiful, so peaceful, and the creature watched them as best as it could for a while longer before taking its own rest.28
~*~ 29
Moonlight bathed the two bodies with its presence, making them seem ethereal and otherworldly, while the nocturnal beasts ran about them, pouncing through the reeds with both alertness and speed. The lengthy blonde hair of Eve fanned out about her, reflecting the moon’s colour. Her left arm hung limply at Adam’s hip while his right reached up to wrap around her neck. Suddenly, Adam made a loud grunt and turned onto his back, causing Eve’s hand to fall onto his stomach. The male’s body shuffled slightly before settling into the grass, and his maw remained agape as thunderous snores escaped it. A multitude of other noises, wild, screeching, growling, surrounded them, blanketing them with the cries of the night. Eve cringed at the loud roar coming from Adam and nudged the male some, trying to get the deafening sounds to cease when she heard a small rustle. She got to her feet, stumbling in the night toward the sound. The tips of her fingers brushed the leaf covered branches while her azure eyes squinted through the greenery, trying to seek out the sound’s origin, but to no avail. Eve has half tempted to wake Adam, but nothing in this garden would possibly harm her. However, a deadly chill ran through her core, warning her that she should be aware. No, she told herself as she backed away from the Tindora tree, never removing her eyes from the large leaves that rustled in the light wind. God would not harm me. He protects us, but even with those thoughts, she couldn’t stop herself from becoming breathy. Something dangerous had been in that tree. No, there was no danger in the garden. There was no danger she reminded herself again when she suddenly hit something behind her, causing a small screech to erupt.30
Adam jumped to his feet, running toward the high-pitched sound. “Eve! Eve, are you all right?” he cried as his lengthy arms wrapped around her. Sapphire eyes gazed into chestnut ones while she uttered,31
“I’m fine. It was…” She glanced back behind her. “It was nothing.” Adam smiled, kissed her, and then headed back to where they had been sleeping.32
“Come,” he said, bringing the woman with him. Eve followed, glancing back a few more times as she pondered the night’s events. Had she really seen nothing? For a moment, she could have sworn that she had seen a face in the shadowy blackness. A face with startling green eyes the colour of a jade stone, but when she had tried to look again, the face had vanished. People did not just vanish, and their god was not one for tricks. Surely, she had seen nothing…33

The next morning, the sun was shining high in the atmosphere, bringing its rays upon the living items. Wild dogs, ferocious felines, slithering reptiles, and other wildlife basked in the sun while orchids, lilies, poppies, and daises fed their fill fed their fill of the morning rays. A small insect sat on a large leaf, slowly scuttling across the plant. Its bright, emerald green shell reflected the morning star, creating a jewel like appearance. Eve’s long fingers reached toward the invertebrate for she was enthralled by its beauty. However, as soon as she had reached for it, the glistening creature flittered off. The female quickly turned her head to gaze upon her mate, causing her golden locks to bounce slightly.35
“What was that creature?” she asked Adam. Adam glanced up at her from the tree he was resting against. His fingers and lips were stained red from the berries he had been munching on, the sweet, sticky juices forming a line that flowed down his wrist. 36
“That would have been a beetle,” he muttered. 37
“Oh,” Eve replied. “What kind? I had never seen one before.”38
“That’s because I allowed you to name the flowers so you were busy doing something.”39
“I know, but I would still like to know the name of it, if you please.”40
“It is a green june beetle. Now, if you please, go off and leave me be. Your questions are pestering me.” After his statement, Eve nodded, leaving him without another word. Her footsteps almost made no sound as she travelled to her favourite spot at the edge of the forest. She adored it here, because not only did she have the woods to her back, but she also had a large meadow that stretched out over the distance. Her toes curled into the ground, feeling the dry dirt becoming embedded in the crevices of her toes and the prickling tickling her feet.41
“This place is quite a beauty,” a voice uttered behind her. The girl startled and fell back with a surprise. 42
“I- I didn’t hear you,” she stammered. The stranger smiled and offered her his hand.43
“I have a quiet step,” he remarked. Eve’s blue eyes gazed up at the male while her hand grasped his own. He yanked her up off the ground, and Eve let out a small gasp. There they were: the eyes that she had sworn she had seen last night, those light green jade eyes. They were opaque in a way, but not in the way a blind person’s eyes would be, and yet, at the same time they were vivid. No, not vivid, but they were definitely had a pull to them.44
“Is something the matter?” he asked. Eve shook her head, unable to speak at first, but a few moments later, she uttered,45
“No. It’s just… your eyes… I’ve seen them before.” His eyes widened, and he inquired,46
“I had not intended you to see me. You see I was only supposed to be watching you, making sure that no evil ever entered this garden, to make sure you remained happy and content.”47
“Then, why are you here?”48
“That is an excellent question. You see, I have come to answer all your questions, and they shall all be answered soon. I will come to you in another form, and when you have found me, you will know the rest. This is the message of the Lord,” and with that, the angel shot into the sky, leaving Eve along on the grassy field.49
~*~ 50
The sun rose, and the sun set time and time again as Eve kept a look out for a sign of the angelic messenger. Had he forgotten about her? Would one of God’s angels actually do that? Don’t be so silly, Eve. Angels are of the Lord, and the Lord is good therefore his angels must be as well. Suddenly, she heard a small rustle behind her. Eve turned to look back, and a long, venomous green snake dropped down from the tree it had been hidden in; its tail curled around the branch it was hanging from. Viper. She knew the name was viper, but there was something different about this one. Then, suddenly, it hit her. The eyes! The eyes were that of her angel! The snake dropped to the earth and started to slither away. Its verdigris body waved in and out to propel itself forward through the grass, and Eve followed. They travelled a little ways while the reptile slithered up a tree, a tree in the middle of the garden. Eve knew the tree. It was the Tree of Knowledge, one of the trees God had told her not to eat from. The pit viper slithered along one of the branches and wrapped its tail around one of the fruits. As it did this, it looked at Eve, its eyes now back to that bright yellow. Eve stared back, wondering what to do when the snake flicked its tongue along the fruit. Was she supposed to eat it? But the Lord had told her not to, but his messenger had obviously led her to this tree for a reason. The female then reached out and grabbed hold of the fruit, and when she had, the snake let go of it. She plucked it from the tree, hesitated for a moment or two, and then took a bite of the pomegranate. That was when Adam appeared. The man grabbed her wrist and screamed,51
“What are you doing?! What have you done?!” Eve kissed him gently, and then explained all that had recently happened to her.52
“Don’t you see? We were meant to eat it! We’re meant to know things now!” she cried as she handed him the pomegranate, but their tempter was long gone before Adam had taken that bite. The sin had been accomplished, and the seed had been planted.53
Author notes
This is both the prologue and first chapter of my novel, which I intend to get published. There will be three books and most likely a back story of Lilith. The first book is called Grigori and is based on the fallen Watchers, whose sin was lust. The second one will be based on Lucifer and the rebellion, and the third will based on Satan and something else as well. I don't want to give too much away. So PLEASE tell me what you think. I may post up to three chapters on here, but no more than that.
Please tell me what you think
