He turned and walked out the door. It was two in the morning and Sylvie was left alone sitting on her dorm room floor. She clutched her belly feeling as though she would puke again. The stupid baby really was doing her in. and now she was left alone. Ralph was gone, who knew where. 4

He stood in the doorway and she runs into his arms. She locks him in an embrace but he doesn’t return it.
'What’s wrong Ralph?"
'What is it gonna take to get you to come with me. I don’t care what it takes I will do it. No matter what, I know now that I need you with me. You know how you thought that I left, well I did. I left, hit the highway, was planning never to come back. Then guess what hit me. I missed you. Now what is it gonna take to get you to come with me?"

And with that, they ran out of the room. They didn’t shut the door even though they knew that leaving now closed any doors here that they had worked so hard to open.10
