“I really don’t want to be here,
I really don’t want to be here.
But I have to get the star,
To save my princess dear.”
I was singing this because I was missing Super Mario Galaxy already.
Ellie sang her version.
“And when I get a star,
I’ll shove it down your throat.
And when I get a star,
There’ll be a bloody moat.”
“Girls, please…It’s midnight.” Mom said.
“Yeah, I know.” I told her. “I’d be playing SMG right now.”
“She would. At least at night she doesn’t YELL at the games. She’ll go, ‘You stupid Chain Chomps! Screw you!’ or something.” Ellie informed Mom.
Mom turned to me.
“Yeah, I do that.”
“Be disturbed by that.” Ellie said.1
“Singing in the rain, just singing in the rain. What a joyous feeling, I’m just happy as can be.”
“Ellie, we did that in third grade. You’re in eighth.”
“And this bothers me why?”
“I don’t know. If you like rain, why are you holding the umbrella?”
“Because my hair would get all frigged up if it got wet. Duh.”2
