Rose Petals Ch. 14

School...not that Kurama minded going to school. She rather liked it. She was a straight A student with the perfect grade point average and the mind of a geninus to boot, of course being a three thousand year old kitsune demon had something to do with that as well. But today for some odd reason she was hating it, maybe it was the fact that she hadn't really gotten enough sleep last night. She had decided to let her demon half rest for the night so she slept in her human form. Problem was four healthy bouncing kits decided to keep her awake that whole night so she had gotten a little over three or four hours of sleep. 1

So throughout most of the morning she had been yawning, and pretty much trying to concentrate on her schoolwork. She hadn't really realized how boring this was until today, that and to add to the fact she was really quite irritated but as normal didn't show it. She'd give anything to hear that bell that would end classes so she could stop by the school cafeteria and get something to wake her up. Then again most of the stuff they had either had high amounts of sugar, or high amounts of caffine. Looks like she'd just have to ride out the day like she was, pretend to be awake attentive and once lunch hit go outside sit by a tree and take a little nap.2

As class went on Kurama sat in her seat taking notes and worked on the assigniments given. She jumped a bit once the bell to signal class was over. She soon calmed when she felt a rather strong kick from one of the kits and took a deep breath and rubbed at her stomach gently. 3

Sorry little one, calm down down now. She thought feeling the tiny kit settle as she smiled and stood gathering her things and left class. Let's see...next up was biology class then she had Sex Ed. Heh what a class to learn things in. Not like she's already done about half the stuff in her demon form but some of the info they shares was quite enlightening. Then Algebra class, History then lunch.Four more long classes until lunch. 4

"Hopefully I'll be able to last that long." She said frowning seeing a few guys come around her. 5

Taki and his gang again, and one of Yuuske's favorite gangs to fight with. Lately they had been going after science department students and the more...higher intelligent students, why? Getting notes and whatever else off them because they were easy to pick on. Not this one. Normally Kurama just blew them off and kept going confusing them with her words or using mind tricks. 6

Seems they would have none of it today, and she wasn't really in the mood to deal with them right now either. "Sorry Taki but I don't really have time for you today nor do I wish to deal with you, so if you'll kindly get out of my way and let me get to my next class I'd be very happy." She said.7

"Who said I was lettin ya go anywhere Shuichi out of all the nerds in this school your the one that everyone is after, surely you got some good notes to give, so give em up buddy." Taki said. 8

"Sorry but no now if you'll excuse me." She said and walked around him.9

She frowned some as her arm was grabbed and she stood still. "I don't remember telling ya you could go." Taki said pulling her back over. 10

"I see you won't take no for an answer." Kurama said looking at him.11

"Don't I always?" He asked and gasped falling to his knees holding his stomach. 12

"Now I'm not normally not this violent but I happen to be in a rather foul mood today." She said dodging the others and tripping one watching him fall on the others and ducked grabbing Taki's arm that was ready to punch her and grabbed a hold of his shirt. Taki frowned some as he looked into Kurama's eyes. 13

"So if you don't mind run along unless you want to lose what you value most." She said coldly pushing him back as Taki and his gang ran off. 14

Kurama sighed some and knealed down picking her bag up and dusting it off walked off to her next class. She saw Yuuske out of the corner of her eye and sighed some. That little confrontation had woken up some but not enough, and now she was even in a more foul mood because of Taki and his gang. 15

"Hahaha that was great Kurama, I didn't know you could fight like that, well I did but dang." He said smiling. 16

"I'm not feeling to well Yuuske so could you do me a favor and not talk so loud." She said feeling a sudden headache hit her. 17

"Mmm...what's up you alright?" Yuuske asked worried. 18

"My little ones kept me up last night so I didn't really get much sleep. So my apologizes in advance if I seem a little irritable today, I'm not exacetly in the best of moods, and now it seems I've got a headache from listening to Taki." She said and sighed. 19

"We all got biology class next let Mr. Kyo know your not feeling well and you can go the nurses office and lay down." Yuuske suggested. 20

"I'll be alright Yuuske, long as I make it to lunch." Kurama said hearing Kuwabara's voice and let out a low growl. 21

"Hey I heard you pummeled Taki and his gang, what's up?" He asked looking at Kurama. 22

"Not so loud bigmouth Kurama's got a major headache." Yuuske said. 23

"And I didn't pummel him, He simply wouldn't take no for an answer so I just scared him and made him run off." Kurama said as the three walked into class.24

"Hey there you are, I was getting worried." Keiko said. 25

"Sorry Keiko I had to deal with Taki." Kurama said and went and spoke with the teacher and nodded some. 26

"I'm a bit more awake than before but I just need to rest my head a bit before class." She said and went and sat down in her seat laying her head on her desk for a bit. She saw Keiko walk ver with a frown on her face. 27

"What's the matter?" Kurama asked. 28

"You know how I m against fighting in School." She said. 29

Kurama sat up sighing some. "I didn't fight him, nearly knocked the wind out of him tripped one of his friends and scared him off, sorry Keiko but I'm far from being in a pleasent mood today, and I have a splitting headache that I hope will go away after this class is over." She said and lay her head back on her desk, the coolness of the desk providing some comfort to her aching head.30

Once class started she leaned up slowly wincing a bit holding her head a moment. Taking a few deep breaths feeling the pain in her head subside she made it through the class without much trouble. Once class was over on the other hand, she wasn't really all that lucky. 31

"Hey come on class is over." Yuuske said shaking Kurama's shoulder a bit.32

"I know...stand there a minute." She said standing up. 33

"You ok?" Yuuske asked. 34

"Mmm...just feel a little lightheaded...thanks Yuuske." She said leaving the room and walking to her next class.35

"You know you should really learn to take it easy Shuichi I'm sure the teachers won't mind if you miss a day of class." Keiko said. 36

"I know Keiko but...mmm..." Kurama moaned stopping as she placed her hand on the wall.37

"You ok?" Keiko asked. 38

"Give me a minute...just dizzy...could you tell our teachers I'm afraid I won't be attending class?" She asked as Keiko helped her to the nurses office. 39

"Hey you two..now don't tell me your both sick." A bubbly voice said. 40

"Botan." The two said. "Kurama's not feeling to well, so I brought him to lay down." She said helping him to a bed. 41

"Yeah I kinda figured that Hiei came up to Spirit world and asked me to come down here to watch you." Botan said. 42

Kurama smiled a bit laying down almost immediately closing her eyes and resting.
