Life Lessons of Woodland Creatures.

Kaboom! At last Faerie McFahren was created! A beautiful mix of breeds, part pixie, part nymph and of course a little bit of farie, just enough for a discreet shimmer of turquoise glittery wings, they didn’t work very well though. Fortunately Faerie had a strangely optimistic mindset compared to the other magical fellows in the woodlands,. Yes indeed, most elves, kelpies, faries and such are oddly cynical, they have seen the worst in mankind, they have seen the drug and alcohol abuse, the murders, the rape, the corruption, everything, all take place in these woods. These woods hold dark and lonely secrets, these woods are the representation of the moral decay of society.
But this didn’t deter our protagonist Faerie here, she was aware of the diminishing morals as soon as she appeared in this world, because being part pixie meant she was born with innate knowledge, however, she was adamant that she would not let this prevent her from happiness, and this was perhaps the beginning of her demise…
As soon as she leaped out of her lair, she was prepared to make a difference, she dashed straight to the stables and picked a unicorn, she knew straight away which one to choose. It was an instantaneous decision, because as soon as she looked at those sparkling violet eyes, that shiny lilac mane and those glorious lavender wings she had found her kindred spirit, it was.. Faerie could not quite pinpoint the word, for her innate knowledge had not extended as far as complex vocabulary, but she had a sense that she would pick up useful knowledge and wisdom on her travels. For the first and last thing her mother said to her before her departure was “Learn through experience Faerie, absorb it like a sponge!!”.
It may seem strange for a mother to just let her daughter embark on a journey in the real world, knowing what an awful place it is, and only seconds after being created, but Mrs McFahren knew very well, from the moment of conception infact, Faerie was a very very special creature.
Faerie didn’t know what on earth a sponge was, but she knew it must be a sacred item of much importance. She must find this magical item, she must obtain a sponge and make her mother proud. “Henceforth, Coralie!!” she said to her new found unicorn friend.
Progressing, from a trot, to a canter, to a gallop and then Coralie took off, with Faerie on her back, she flapped her beautiful wings majestically, they both kept an eagle eye out for a human who they could possibly enquire about this sponge item to, which they began to covet so much.
Ah ha! A human, and a rather dashing young human too, he was wearing a very spiffing looking tie, infact faerie took a fancy to him. “Lets ask him!” she exclaimed, and so Coralie flew in this young mans direction. He started picking up the pace, and so Coralie had to speed up to catch up with him, it was a race against time, they had to talk to this man in order to find this sponge!
He changed direction and so Coralie had to make an abrupt turn, this resulted in… SMACK, Coralie and Faerie hit a massive oak tree, they both fell to the floor and died of internal bleeding….
The moral of the story is look where you’re going when you’re travelling, always wear a seatbelt and don’t trust strangers kids!
