Rose petals Ch, 12

Another day, and soon another week would pass for Kurama as she marked another day off on her list. "Happy 21 weeks." My little ones." She said rubbing her stomach and smiling a bit feeling four sets of tiny kicks. She smiled some walking into the living room and slowly sat down on the couch moaning a bit.1

Her back was killing her, of course, from what she had read that was completely normal to be having back pains this early on. Of course with four growing babies the pain was more so of an annoyance. She had to admit though the pillows did help a bit. She'd have to thank Yukina and Botan for their idea later. She looked up hearing one of the branches snap back to its position. Hiei was home it seeemed. 2

"I thought I made it clear your to stay in bed and rest. A pregnancy this large isn't something to take lightly fox." Hiei said and went to his very pregnant lover and knelled down carefully placing an ear to her belly. 3

Kurama smiled a bit and tilted her head to he side pushing her crimson red locks back. "They wouldn't stop kicking me so I thought a little walk might help settle them." She said leaning her head back against the cushion of the chair. 4

"Tell me if you need anything....I don't want you overworking yourself, just...finish up on your schoolwork or something." Hiei said not knowing what humans did in their spare time.5

"Alright....can you get me some of soft rice cake things? and some pickles and ice cream?" She asked. 6

"Anything else?" He asked while giving Kurama a stomach massage to help ease her muscles a bit. 7

"Yeah...keep doing that it feels nice." She moaned as Hiei smiled some. "This will to." He said kissing down from her belly to her legs.8

And hour would later pass as the two lay in each other's arms naked as Hiei leaned up looking at his sleeping lover and went to go get her food. Kurama would wake up not to long after moaning a bit. "Mmm...Hiei?" She asked rubbing her stomach. 9

"Hiei." She said again rubbing her eyes and blinking. She soon heard the tree branch again seeing Hiei come downstairs with a bag in his hand. 10

"Here...still hungry?" He asked. 11

"Mm mm, I don't want it anymore. Oh wait I want the rice cakes." She said smiling taking them as she ate them happily.12

Hiei just sat and watched Kurama as she ate her food happily. placing a hand to his lover's stomach he smiled a bit not feeling any movement. He was glad the four kits were asleep that way Kurama could get some rest if she needed it as well.13

The rest of the day would pass without much chaos as Kurama walked around doing some light cleaning and finishing up some dishes. She looked up hearing the phone ring and mumbled about who it could be calling them. Drying her hands and walking to the phone she picked it up and answered it. 14

"Minamono residence." She said smiling after a bit. "Oh Keiko good afternoon....oh I'm fine, just finishing up some light housework since Hiei won't let me do much else." She said putting the phone to her shoulder and laying her head against it as she rubbed her stomach. 15

"I'm not that big Yuuske's exaggerating again I see....not by much though I'm just a bit smaller than that. I already got on Hiei for insinuating that I look fat. I can't stand it when you guys tell me that." She said and listened to Keiko giggling.16

"Keiko no you know I hate surprises....well I don't mind them but still...what are you guys hiding from me?" She asked hearing Keiko's 'sorry I can't tell you, you'll have to wait and see' over the phone.17

"Alright....when is it? Saturday? Let's see." She said looking at her calender. "Yes that's fine Keiko see you guys on Saturday." She said hanging up the phone as she leaned against the wall rubbing her stomach.18

"Nnn...hush now my little ones." She said gently going back to her cleaning.19

A few days later after some much needed rest for the mother of four Hiei and Kurama walked up the stairs of the temple as Kurama took small sips of her water every now and again. Going up the stairs itself was enough work but add in the weight of four kits it soon became tiring.20

Kurama however didn't mind it figuring she needed the exercise, and it be a bit of an adventure for the little ones listening to the sounds that surrounded them. Kurama brought a hand to her stomach feeling the babies moving. 21

"Oh your awake I see...don't worry its nothing to be afraid of mommy and daddy will protect you from any danger." She said smiling pulling her hair up into a ponytail as the two reached the temple looking around seeing no one. 22

"No one's here." Kurama said rubbing her stomach. 23

"This way." Hiei replied taking her around back as a round of surprises were heard and Kurama chuckled some and smiled. 24

"Oh my..." Kurama said looking around at the gifts and decorations. 25

"Heh Grandma let us trash her garden for your party, said she was willing to do it for a close friend." Yuuske said walking over with Genkai as she elbowed him. 26

"Genkai Thank you....but we could have had the party inside." Kurama said.27

"Yeah well its a nice day out so I figured have it outside. So let's get this party started." She said as everyone cheered.
