Rose Petals Ch. 11

Three weeks would soon pass and with Yoko taking demon watch duty at night things seemed to go over smoothly For Kurama and Hiei, and now with the winter festival over and Kurama now going back to School, things were going to be getting a bit more stressful. Kurama sat in her english class taking down notes frowning some when she felt small movements and placed her free hand against her stomach. The four kits growing inside her rounding abdomen had started kicking at her just short about a week or two ago. Since Kurama was already thin enough and didn't have much of a fat percentage she could very well feel the first movements of her kits within her. Of course leave it to four growing babies to wake their mother up in the middle of the night to decide to make themselves known.1

Kurama of course hadn't told Hiei, as of yet, although she was sure he knew from the times they slept so close to each other that Kurama's belly would touch Hiei's. She nearly gasped at a few strong kicks but tried to ignore them seeing as how she had a different duty to attend to right now, her own classes. Unfourtuneately the quaddruplets had a different idea in mind and wanted Kurama to pay attention to them. Kurama frowned some at their continuous movement and rubbed his stomach gently giving quick rubs. 2

Settle down my little ones...my stomach's not a punching bag. Kurama thought going back to taking down notes and listening to her teacher.By the time Class was over it was time for break as Kurama leaned back in her seat with her favorite book sighing some. She was thankful for the image watch that kept her female form hidden from the others, far as she knew none of the students had a heightened spirit awareness which was good for her.3

"Hey." Yuuske said walking over and bending down putting a hand on Kurama's desk.4

"Mmm...hey there Yuuske...in need of my notes again?" She asked smiling.5

"Not today I actually wrote stuff down." Yuuske said chuckling. 6

"Oh wow your making progress...nnn." She said sitting up straight and placing her arm on the top of the desk chair looked at Yuuske. 7

"So what is it you want?" Kurama asked.8

"Need a pencil...mine broke." He said.9

Kurama chuckled some and put a hand in her pocket feeling her stomach and rubbing it. That had been Yuuske's little excuse to get a feel of her stomach to see the kits moving around. 10

"There's one in my pocket be quick about it." Kurama said and winced some. 11

"You alright?" Yuuske asked feeling her stomach through her school uniform pocket.12

"They're strong." She whispered making a face and pushed against her stomach a bit. 13

"Better?" Yuuske asked pulling out a pencil from Kurama's pocket. 14

"One of them was pressing against my stomach and it hurt." She said seeing a few of her fans walk over as she went back to reading her book seeing Yuuske leave.15

Now came the normal routine of talking with the girls and listen to them babble about how cute and beautiful she was and then trying to nicely tell them that he had Schoolwork or something to catch up on.16

"Hey there Shuichi whatcha reading?" One of the girls asked. 17

"Research for our biology project, human and plant reproduction." She said looking up from her book talking with the other girls for while as she to watched them leave.18

Later on in the day after School got our Kurama was walking with Yuuske her hand in her pocket slowly massaging her stomach. 19

"Damn cramps." She cursed softly as Yuuske raised an eyebrow. 20

"I'm starting to rub off on you." He said earning a glare from Kurama. 21

"You deal with these cramps and tell me you won't be cursing twice as much." Kurama said. 22

"Moody today aren't we?" He asked looking at Kurama walking to her house with her. "How far along are you now, almost 20 weeks right?" He asked. 23

Kurama nodded some rubbing her stomach as she smiled a bit. "Nineteen and three days now." She said.24

"Congrats then..." He said stopping. 25

"Come to meet me halfway lover?" Kurama asked looking at Hiei sitting in a tree. 26

"Hn." Came Hiei's normal response as he jumped down going to Kurama and placing his hands on her stomach as his Jagan eye opened to examine his kits.27

They were getting bigger by the day, he was beginning to enjoy this more and more as the weeks went on. Of course he wouldn't dare tell his lover that. Not like she would do or say anything but it was against his code to be entirely open even to those he trusted...let them learn about him and see how much they can predict him then. His eyes would soon widen as he made a face at the movement of the four kits inside his lover's stomach. 28

"Mmm...that hurt." Kurama moaned bringing her hands over Hiei's and smiling. "They're saying hello." She said walking ont the sidewalk and into a little woodsy area as Hiei knelled down placing an ear to his lover's stomach listening to his children make their first movements.
