A tinkle of water could be heard from a steam near by but never seen, where a brown Gabardine jacket blazer lays discarded and forgotten. The sunsets on rainy days and rises on snowy ones. Hanging plants galore (enough to make your old neighbors die worrying over how they'll all be watered), so watch your head. You will find all this and more in the land of Abject.1
A fork is worshipped every day at nine; a mime with a fork every Wednesday for fifty cents. Flying squirrels walk every now and then, while flying fish won't leave the tropical camels alone. It'll tickle more than your feet. I've seen it myself with my very own hands. It's an amazing site to be typed on a broken typewriter to be sure.2
I put all the memories from Abject and placed them here in this photo album for all to remember. You will see them posted, as well, all over the walls of Abject, as long as you never leave. Jingles of keys lost are heard, while you walk, and if you see the large, moss covered pillar you better turn tail and run. It's not moss you see but snot that crawls and devours phalange's tossed nails. I don't get it either...3
Tom and Jill live there with the Narrow-minded Red Riding Hood, the Toothless Fairy and demon-ted beanstalks. They argue all the time. Just ask me on the way out of my lovely art gallery I have just painted for you. 4
No, no works are for sale. My Brain does not compute where it found it's pieces and yes it's favorite one is Abject.5
Now follow me the tour is almost over. I fear I have one last thing to say...Thank you for visiting My Brain. May your art gallery construct more masterpieces than mine.6
What's that you say? A gift? Hmmm...how about this talisman?7
Author notes
Uh...my sense of humor is not what most would seem. It takes some thinking and an open mind. Just picture what's happening...it makes me laugh to see such sport.
I hate it and don't know why I wrote it but I don't have the heart to erase it.
What did you think? Please comment!

Wow. I like experimantism and this certainlt is! Beyond that it is abstract, Absurd (in the sense of there being no meaning to existence) and a joy to read. Just letting your mind take control sometimes brings about wonderful results and this is one of them!

Very Talented Writer
Despite some editing needed here, this is exceptional writing revealing one with a lot of talent for "weaving words and spinning yarns."
I would recommend that there is no necessity for quote marks. I found this piece to be quite intriguing and well written to reflect how abstract our minds can be.
You might want to read a column I have posted here at A/P: Writers' Seven Deadly Sins. It can be found in My Lists under Helpful Hints for Writers. Nevetheless, keep writing; for I predict that someday you will go quite far with it.
Love and hugs

Ahhh yes, nothing like plain ol' wackiness; this had almost a sort of, shall we say, whimsical feel to it. I like it; had me grinning wide from the sheer randomness of the whole thing. Good luck.

I meant the steam but not the form. lol I didn't notice. It was like 3 in the morning when I wrote this!
I kinda like it in the afternoon...*turns head side ways*

You've got a bit of a typo in the first sentence though... "A tinkle of water could be heard form a steam near by but never seen," I think you meant "from" and "stream" not form and steam... but I could be wrong

*chuckles* Actually I thought it was quite fun! I liked the creative way you used each of the required items, and the play on words that you used here and there in this piece. It made me laugh.
Thank you for entering this piece. Good luck in the contest!
