Super Greeters

After the stock market crash of 2008, the city of Storywrite was graced with a new, (but expensive) presence of superheroes (this is to say expensive due to their crashing into the stock market building on arrival). This force, called themselves "The Legion of people who are happy to make your acquaintance", before later changing their name to "The Greeters".1

The Greeters, consisting of eleven, super powered individuals, took to the streets of Storywrite like wildfire (Cactus Jack later apologized for this of course) helping the members with what issues were within their powers. They lived in shadows like secretive creatures of wonder, striking from high when needed, had Andy Stephenson paid the electricity bill however they could possibly live in their base, but due to his rational of him being super powered with electricity, they could generate it freely (or so he thought until he was served with a summons for tampering with an electricity board).2

They served well, covering all angels of trouble, Tallblondie keeping an eye from the sky, hidden well disguised as a Parakeet, Vernatia, with her ability to turn into a tree, did well in the forest environments, (or would have had Storywrite not cleared them to deal with urban sprawl, but he does add a nice touch on an autumn evening), and then there was aqua man, aka gerifitzsimmons aka "the wet wonder".3

There was then the "higher ranking" members of the legion, these being the strongest of the force, the "Gemini twins" Sage Syren and witchcraft, aka the leather clad mistresses of the skyscrapers, teamed with their newest Diddi having since left superhero puberty and developed the ability to turn volcanic in times of need (this of course did great damage to the city when a miniature Vesuvius appeared the middle of the city, but a force to be reckoned with all the same). Hurricane and Typhoon aka IrishYndina and Snowrose-wolf blew the populous away (literally) with their impressive powers, but none, none had the scope that the leader did.4

Kylia Skydancer, was a quiet and mysterious creature, she watched with an eagle eye the actions of both the city, and her team, rarely having to utilize her powers, the ability to summon massive creatures of immense power to assist her known to the city as "The Mods". These creatures were capable of immense destruction and came on Kylia's request, (and sometimes to her inconvenience without her request).5

It was shortly after their arrival that arrived a new threat...the noob. This creature began to multiply rapidly, plaguing the city with questions of memberships and trying to change things unsuccessfully. These creatures were the epitome of annoying, making horrible wailing sounds and acting generally dumbfounded (making conversation slightly harder than usual in the city). These creatures concerned the Greeters, who were fearful that the noobs would continue to increase, slowly overpopulating the city of Storywrite, and action was needed. The objective was clear, destroy the noobs at all costs. The solution was to create gas chambers, cactus jack later apologized for this and a new solution was found, create bigger gas chambers, cactus jack was sent to the corner for the rest of the meeting. This saw the birth of the ticket system, a way to induce knowledge to the noobs, effectively turning them into members, and eliminating the threat. The greeters set about their task, assisting with lightning speed, appearing in a flash to induce knowledge to the noobs, whilst cactus jack was serving 20hrs community service for impersonating an officer of the law and issuing the general public with tickets for "stupidity".6

After months of arduous labor, the threat was eliminated, and the city was once again safe. And this team, this Greeting team, remained in the city, ever watchful, ever concerned, and constantly being served with summons.
