Love- Poem

Love,
A simple emotion.
Beautiful but deadly,
Like the Earth`s Ocean.1

Brings us together,
Tears us apart.
Like twine and leather,
Torn from my heart.2

A mirror without reflection,
Is just silver.
Human without affection,
Is just animal.3

A gift to give,
Love can be fun.
Until you must forgive,
For what they have done.4

They took your breath,
Then stabbed your back.
Love ends in death,
It is human lack.5

Lack to love,
For better and through worse.
Think of a dove,
Plagued with fate and curse.6

You`ve got to wonder,
Why love?
Well we live under,
But we think above.7

So we play this game,
Love and life.
Until we can claim,
A bloody knife.8

Love,
A simple emotion.
Beautiful but deadly,
For lack of better devotion.
