Where is that man I married so long a go
He surely would tell me if it was time for
him to die.
I love him so much,I have no tears to cry.
He was such a wonderful young man
Just back from a war in a foreign land
where the sand was drenched in young soldier's
blood.
I was so young,he was out of the Navy looking for me
as he said he would.
Oh there he is,just went out for fresh air.
He said a couple was making love out there.
I had to remind him were young and what a time
we had.
Thinking the next car would do us a while.
He loved cars,a new one brought a big smile.
The North wind started to blow,no snow,no snow.
I am about to go
he held my hand while the wind whispered
do you want to go. I lay in his arms, said yes I am.
I am going as he will, give our children
the old clock that man years has been unwound
