Over Rated

(Charlie) “Psychics are completely over rated.” 1

(James) “What do you mean?”2

(c)“Well I shot mine to death and he didn’t even see it coming.”3

(j)“What do you mean you shot your Psychic to death?”4

(c)“I mean I took a gun and I put it to his stupid head and I pulled the trigger. I am pretty sure he is dead. I don’t think he could have survived that, but I never really checked.”5

(j)“Where is he?”6

(c)“My kitchen, but I think I might move him. He is starting to smell.”7

Silence8

(c)“Like I said, Psychics are completely over rated.”9

(j)“Why?”10

(c)“I think we just went over that.”11

(j)“No, I mean why did you shoot him?”12

(c)“I wanted to see if he was really psychic. You see if he was psychic he wouldn’t have come when I called.” 13

(j)“You’re crazy.”14

(c)“I know, but I at least don’t pretend to be something I am not.”15

(j)“Who is…was…your psychic?”16

(c)“I think his name was Jared. He was some guy from the cable company.”17

(j)“I thought you said he was a psychic.”18

(c)“That’s what he said when I asked him to fix my cable. When I called about the static I have been getting on channel 66 he knew which channel it was before I told him. I asked him how he knew and he said it was because he was psychic.”19

(j)“I don’t think he meant he was really a psychic. I think he was just trying to be funny.”20

(c)“I don’t see how that’s funny. Sounds like a flat out lie to me.”21

(j)“Either way you can’t just go around killing people.”22

(c)“Actually, I can. Remember I am crazy. Besides I have to admit it was fun.”23

(j)“Really? But the mess must be a hassle.”24

(c)“Not really, except the smell really is starting to get to me. I almost couldn’t eat my bagel at breakfast this morning. The smell is really quite awful.”25

(j)“Well I think you should probably move him out of your kitchen. You need to eat.”26

(c)“No shit Sherlock.”27

Directly after that statement Charlie stood up and fired three shots into James’s chest.28

“I think Psychiatrists are over rated too.”29
