I'm sorry that my faith wavered
When paranoia set in,
You don't owe me any favors
And this is a battle you can win.1
No matter how bad it may get,
No matter how it may end,
I'll never again doubt your sincerity
Or be a fair-weather friend.2
You've done so much that you don't know
And so much more I can't explain,
My heart changes forever
Every time I hear your refrains.3
My Angel of Music,
And my Muse and Inspiration-
You've made Me into Me..
Without even a conversation.4
You're my mentor and my idol,
You're my friend and you're my Saint-
The impact that you've had on me
Is anything but faint.5
When I heard you my life began
And you'll make my future even brighter-
Because you've given me more than anyone can..6
I love you, Steven Tyler.
Author notes
It's not written for entertainment. I know the wording is simple and it's dull and makes no sense to anyone else.. But this is something I wrote for me .. and that's just not something I do often.. so.. yeah.

This is so moving. I understand your admiration for Steven Tyler and the feelings in this are sincere. Some things just cut you deep, especially when someone you admire does something to make you worry, and, as much as you don't admire them any less, you're kind of worried and disappointed. I didn't find this dull at all. It came from the heart, and I think it had very good flow. I really like the "My Angel of Music," verse. I think it REALLY conveys the message of the influence he had on you.
