My Persian Prince

On the seventh day of this artificial sun,1

The dawn of manhood's final run,2

When trial and flames ignite the sea,3

a god is born, and so is she.4

As dying stars fall from the sky,5

She gathers dreamcast in her hands,6

And dances in the rain of the Urban Earth,7

Her resonance to foreign lands.8

They build him an altar of jewels and gold,9

And dine on misbegotten words,10

They forsake his human birth,11

"The Persian Prince", a name so bold.12

She sleeps beneath the multitudes,13

And eats the fruit of poison trees,14

Blink once, and see the ruin,15

Of a Persian Prince upon his knees.16

She dreams of golden, turquoise tears,17

As platinum streaks fall from his eyes,18

She reigns with the moon and the crystal sun,19

He leaves his Castle in the Sky.20

As he cascades onto the ground,21

The magnitude of angel-sound,22

The foghorn blow of his fall from grace,23

Awakens a beast of dirt and lace.24

"The Persian Prince", a name so bold,25

So build him an altar of jewels and gold,26

And dine on misbegotten words,27

As you forsake his human birth.28

The girl of onyx, diamond, lust,29

In the Lost City of jade and rust,30

Welcomes the arrival of her Persian King,31

They bathe in fire, and dance, and sing.32

Into a world of living dream,33

A cosmos of ocean, lightning, cream.34

Armageddon has begun,35

Crystalline: my chosen one.36

She shows him the world of rural bliss,37

The thrust of angel downy kiss,38

Of fireflies and moonlit nights,39

He's now, the King of Paradise.40

Can I honestly say I'm jealous as mess of you? XD This was amazing, and had brilliant flow. I've lost my ability to rhyme, so this impressed me very much! It was beautiful, and it's not only a poem, it's a poem that tells a story. You mixed all of the best things about poetry into one amazing piece! Keep it up, sis!

    AMAZING

I loved it! The flow was terrific! It could be a song. I felt like it was just singing along in my mind. And it rhymed! I have no criticism, it was just too good. It told a story, which I very much like in poetry, since I like to write stories, and read poetry, more than write poetry and read stories. When I read the title, I thought maybe a love story. And being a boy, I don't quite like love stories. But it wasn't what I thought it might be. I'm glad I found this. Hope to read more from you soon!
