Maryune's Wrath (Chapter the Fifteenth of This Tale)

With her daughters disappearance, her captive gone and three very important servants with her, Maryune was angry.1

And nobody liked to see Maryune angry.2

Tundriska had Maryune's orders of rounding up certain other servants and locking them away so they could not flee and could not be rescued. 3

Seven servants, three missing, and one still had not been found.  Life was tough, but Maryune would beat it.4

Now, she and her complete army had been tricked again by the faery Keita.5

But she had led them to the sister's lair, which is where they now stood.6

Standing outside the giant tree, Maryune glanced around.  "Did anybody see, see how they got inside?"7

Silence.  Then a young soldier, his voice quavering answered.8

"They just, ran into it and disappear, Milady."  His face was pale, eyes fearful.9

"Suppose so." Maryune muttered to herself.  "Here, we need somebody magic.  Binbryde!" She called.10

With a puff of smoke, and a lingering smell of herbs, a young wizard, Binbryde Trudfarren, stood at her side.11

"We need in there." Maryune demanded, pointing to the tree.12

Binbryde was silent a moment, staring at the tree. "Simple.  Why do you need in?"13

"The faeries have stolen some of my own belongings, I wish to obtain them again."  Maryune answered.14

"Fair enough."  Binbryde said.  He stepped up to the tree, patted the trunk twice, whispered some hushed words and before any questions could be asked, the wizard had opened a door in the trunk.15

"Well done, Binbryde." Maryune replied with a smile.  "Faster than I thought, hang about and I'll do you a favour later." She touched his arm, softly before hurrying into the tree.16

The wizard ignored the touch and followed Maryune's men inside.17

It was empty inside, or so the men thought.18

Maryune looked puzzled, and summoned Binbryde to her side.19

"Are they here? I heard them, moments ago."  She questioned.20

Binbryde glanced around. Stared in places around the room for moments, but his face didn't change.21

"No, Maryune, but I know where one of them is.  Did you want the faery sisters? Or just your belongings?" He asked.22

"I wanted all of them!" Maryune cried, chidlishly. "Where is the one?  They might help!"23

"Look under your feet, Maryune." The wizard replied, pointing to the floor.24

A trap door, thumping noisily was directly under the queen's feet.25

An evil smile flickered over her face and she flung it open, then gasped.26

It was Trivisch.  Crouching on the dirty ground, looking enraged.27

"Mother! They stole my horse!"  She cried from the ground.28

"Trivisch, where did they go?" She called, then to the guards behind her, "get her out of there."29

"Mother, they went to see some wizard!" Trivisch called as they pulled her out.  "Those sisters are horrible!"30

Maryune turned to face Binbryde.  "Who is this wizard?  What wizard is friendly to these faeries?"31

Binbryde didn't answer for a moment. "There are seven great wizards in the area who are friends with these sisters.  I will take you to them."32
