The daylight cast through my halfway open window as my alarm clock started beeping. I quickly slammed down the snooze button as I lazily rolled out of bed. I was so exhausted from the night before. My boyfriend and I had been on the phone until four in the morning! We had dismissed the idea of school, not giving a care in the world. Our conversation had gotten so passionate, that the time just flew by. 1

I quick snatched some random clothes out of my drawer and hopped into the shower. Cold. Freezing cold. I quickly turned the heat of the water up, considering how cold I had been before I had stepped into the shower. 2

After I got out of the shower, I picked up my blow- dryer, and about to turn it on, decided not to. I chose to conserve energy today for once. Instead, I vigorously rubbed the damp towel over my hair, getting a little bit more of the moisture out. 4

Considering the colour of my shirt, blue, I dug through my makeup behind my mirror, and found my light blue eye- shadow. I gently swept it over my red- rimmed, tired eyes. I found my black eyeliner and put it around the rim of my eyes. 5

"Hurry up! You're going to be late!" I heard my mom holler up the stairs. 7

"I'm coming!" I hollered back. "I'm just about done!"9

I found my pale pink backpack and ran down the stairs. Over the years, I had placed many buttons on it. It was almost covered with them. 11

I grabbed a blueberry muffin off of the table, spun around, quickly kissed my mom on the cheek, said bye to my little sister, Izabel, and hurried out the door. 13
