Miyuki Rabaya 1
Pain that’s all she could sense was pain, the type of pain that made one wish for death damn the consequences. Her mind tried to conquer it, to summarize the pain, it felt like someone had plunged their hands deep into her stomach and where shredding organ by organ one at time. A cough racked her already quivering form, bright red splattering the dirty ground underneath of her, even as her hands tried in vain to push her body up and away from the floor, stained with her bright blood and who knows what else. She did manage to roll over though, so she laid on her back, panting slightly, before another fit of coughing hitting her. Her left hand, the one she knew that wasn’t broken in anyway reached down to feel gingerly of her stomach. Her eyes closing in pain as she diagnosed herself. For once her medic skills coming in handy. As far as she could tell, she had two broken ribs, probably more where cracked and bruised, her stomach was tender the possibility of internal bleeding not far from her mind. The coughing of blood had her almost sure, her right hand was broken, at least two of the fingers, only hairline though, thankfully. The parts of her she couldn’t reach seemed to be in okay shape, except for one ankle that was a dull throb in the back of her mind, the sharper pain of her chest and stomach dancing in the for front. Eyes squeezing shut tighter she rolls to her side, knowing that at least if she was on her side she wouldn’t choke on her own blood, and now she could see the door, even if the position made her chest light up with pain. Gritting her teeth she pushes the pain back enough to wonder how she got to where she was now. 2
It had been a routine mission, find the s-class nin and assassinate them, her squad had found him alright, as well as 4 others. It had been her fault they had been found, a slight shifting to grasp a weapon and they’d been spotted. The fight was a blur, she knew she was the last to fall. Hito, the squad leader falling first, he had to be dead with the wound that had been inflicted on him, half his body blown off with the explosion users bomb. Damn those clay bugs. She didn’t’ see what happed to Kiera, she’d been too busy avoiding a swing of the shark-man’s giant sword. She’d seen her not moving body though on the ground, her opponent not even wounded. Nakoma, was the last before her, she managed to nearly kill the explosions user, anger fueling her attack and her blood line limit. Hito had been her love, even though it was unrequited, Nakoma still loved him with all her heart. She fell to the ground kunai in her chest, the killing blow one through the heart. Her memories blurred for a moment as pain throbbed through her body again. She’d tried her hardest but it was 4 against 1, her the medic, the foolish, foolish medic. She’d tried her hardest, as far she knew she managed o at least knock out the shark man, before the genjutsu had captured her in it’s hold. Damn those Uchiha, her mind flashed to the memories of what had happened for the second she was trapped, she’d broke free somehow, unsure really. Maybe he had let her go to make her think she had chance. As she swiped at him one hand forming seals, but it wasn’t enough the one with the mask tripped her up wrenching her ankle around the wrong way, as her chest meet with his fist. The one who had cast the genjutsu smirked as she fell. That’s as far as her memories went, she assumed that was when she passed out. Maybe she had fought longer, since she couldn’t remember breaking her hand. Groaning she wondered if they where just going to let her die, die in a horrible smelling cell. There was no real use for her was there? She had a bloodline limit yes, but it was nothing spectacular and very few knew of it. She doubted even her squad had known about it, that’s how much she hated it. Hated what it made her into, who it made her into. Medical skills, she was good at them, not as good as the Hokage but good enough where she could save her teammates life. But now she was the death of them, she would be shamed forever. Never able to look another nin in the face, she’d failed. And the idea of getting out a live was a foolish hope, that she squashed before it even fully bloomed. Her eyes narrow as the door is pushed open, she flinches at the oppressive feel of the chakra coming off whoever was opening the door, and the fact that she couldn’t’ currently access hers, terrifying her. 3
“Awake then.” says the man, the voice deep and smooth, but cold, oh so cold. 4
“What does it look like?” she hisses out her voice cracking and breaking, breaking just like her. 5
“I’d watch your tongue, you don’t know who you are speaking to.” he says as he steps forward and surveys her, looking her over. Taking note of her ripped and blood stained clothing and the anbu tattoo decorated her shoulder, and the fact that their was a nearly invisible green outline around the normal black tattoo. The symbol of her medic status. She watched him as best she could till he walked behind her, and all she could do was listen to him move, the only sound the slight scraping of his shoes on the floor. 6
“Well who are you?” she states, growing nervous by the fact he was still behind her, surveying her. She could feel his eyes, roam her compact frame. Taking in the details of her dark red almost black hair, and skin the color of porcelain. She wondered if he made the same conclusion as everyone that she looked like a doll, even her large eyes added to that aspect with their dark blue depths. 7
“That is something, you don’t need to know as of yet. You are going to be healed.” he says before walking out of the room the door shutting with a heavy thud. Sighing she closes her eyes and waits for who ever was going to heal her. It would be a nice feeling to not be in pain, but then what would happen to her? Why where they healing her? She was a no name. Well she did have a name but only those of her village knew and then only her friends who weren’t anbu. To the anbu she was the white rabbit, she hated the fact that her mask was a rabbit face it made her seem weak compared to the others with their predators and sly animals like foxes and panthers. White rabbit did fit in away though she was more likely to run then fight a useless fight as well as her tendency to be on time and skittish. She was perhaps the only anbu who would jump when given a congratltoring pat on the shoulder. But life had made her just a tad bit more paranoid then others. Fear that someone would find out about her, about where she was from, and the bloodline limit she hated with a passion. Her thoughts came to halt as the door opened slowly again, her eyes drifting up the person clothed in black pants and a dull green jacket. She could tell the person was a medic, it was just a soothing feeling to her or his chakra. She couldn’t look up far enough to tell if it was a male or a female. Groaning she flinches away as the person moves closer kneeling in front of her, hands reaching out to touch her. 8
“You shouldn’t move so much.” says the medic who could now be identified as a male, his voice eerily calming and familiar. Opening her mouth to speak, his hand connected with her skin chakra flowing into her, before she could speak she found her self floating into darkness. Completely unaware that she was being lifted carefully and carried out of the cell. Hands careful not to aggravate her broken ribs. The medic sighed as he brought her into a sterile white room, his eyes focusing on a black and red cloaked man who only nodded at his appearance, sitting the broken girl down he frowned she looked so young. Shaking his head he sets about his job healing this girl, he had met her once in a bar in the nearby town, he hadn’t known then she was a anbu her chakra hidden so well she appeared only a normal girl. He could still remember the sound of her slightly slurred voice, it had been a beautiful sound her eyes and hair the combination captivating. 9
Forcing his thoughts away he concentrates on mending her wounds, the ribs first the bones knitting together and healing cleaning, his hands moving down to her stomach where he frowned as he drew out the loose blood and healed the torn wall of her kidney. If they had waited any longer she could of died, he was surprised she was steal conscious when he walked into the cell. The loss blood dripped from this hands as he pulled it out of his body, it would find it’s way to the drain on the floor. Picking up her right hand he examines the broken fingers before healing them as well, a sweat building on his forehead, as her chakra started to fight him, he looked at her to see she was still unconscious and frowned. 10
“What’s wrong?” asks the cloaked man his voice chilling the doctor his tone even and uncaring. 11
“She’s fighting the healing.” he says simply not wanting to anger the man with rambling. 12
“Hn.” was the mans only reply. “The doctor chances a glance at him before looking away as he saw the red eyes, moving to the girls ankle he grits his teeth as he heals the torn ligaments and bruised muscles. 13
“Done.” he says stepping away and wiping the sweat off his face with a sleeve. He was glad to see their was color back in her face and the pained look was gone, but maybe it wasn’t a good thing. He had a vague idea of what they planned to do to her, no he couldn’t think of it. The cloaked man nods his head and picks up the girl slinging her over his shoulder little care for her newly mended wounds. “Be careful with her.” says the doctor though he regretted his words as soon as he said them, scurrying out of the cloaked mans way he watches him carry her out of the room. Out and to her fate. She awoke slowly to the sensation of little pain it was a relief in away, but after a few seconds her foggy mind working overtime she realized she was being carried over someone’s shoulder a hand clamped tightly around her middle. She stayed still not wanting to know whoever it was to know she was awake.14
“Awake Konichi?” asks the voice a mild amount of amusement evident in his voice.15
“Put me down!” she demands hitting the mans back with her fists, probably doing little damage since her chakra was so low. 16
“Shut up.” he says clinching is fingers into her back bruising the skin and muscles. She falls silent, delving into her thoughts as she observes the place, it was dark just enough light to walk without too much trouble. It seemed to be underground, she could smell earth and the air seemed thick and heavy and stagnant. If they where underground they needed to open some vents to the outside. Her awake state didn’t last long though, as the man carrying her rounded a corner her strength gave out and she was once again a lifeless lump of flesh and bones. After a few more minutes she is deposited in much nicer cell then her previous one, this one at least had a real bed which the man pretty much dropped her on to. There was also a small toilet and a table that was built into the wall, no way for a desperate prisoner to break off a piece and end their life or try to escape. Looking down at her for a moment the man shakes his head before reaching out to touch the tattoo on her shoulder seeming to trace the curving pattern, pulling his hand away he walks out of the cell the door shutting and locking behind him. Once outside of the door he pauses and turns to a darker patch of shadow. 17
“Will she do?” asks the same cold voice from earlier. 18
“Yes.” says the cloaked man before bowing stiffly and walking off leaving the shadows man to watch the door. 19
“My dear, dear white rabbit, you have no clue what we plan to do to you.” he says before phasing out of existence. It was several hours before she finally awoke again, yawning and sitting up eyes scanning her new cell. 20
“Well looks like I moved up in the prison status.” she says dryly to the walls. Standing slowly she tests putting weight on her once badly twisted ankle and smiles as it holds her weight with only the faintest of throb. Her blue eyes scanned the cell, her thirst causing her tongue to dart out and lick her lips which tasted of sweat and blood not the best combination on earth. She needed some water and hopefully food soon, her chakra was still low enough for her to pass out if she moved to quickly or too much. 21
“I wonder if they found them yet.” she says talking of those that would most likely be sent after the squad when they didn’t report back in. Would one of them be one of Hito’s many siblings or even Nakoma’s brother who both worked recovery squads. She hoped they would be found before the scavengers found them, tears threatened to flow down her dirty face, but nins didn’t cry they did not feel, they where tools. Tools and nothing else. With a heavy sigh she sat back down upon the bed and looked at the ground of the cell which seemed to be covered in a layer of dust and dirt. All an all it was a rather boring cell, hopefully they wouldn’t keep her in it too long and reveal what in the world they wanted her for. Maybe she would end up brainwashed a servant, she had heard of them. Those they had captured and brainwashed and now served them doing the basic housekeeping duties. They where expendable, it was easy to get more, but then again if she was to be one of those… Why hadn’t it already been done? Why hadn’t they did that while she was unconscious on the doctors table. 22
Her questions would soon be answered a the door to cell opened revealing the cold man she had first seen before the healer. "Miyuki Rabaya?" he says his voice seeming to bring waves of chilling air over her body, causing goosebumps andshivers. 23
"You know my name now..." she says simply in reply wondering how they found it out. 24
"Yes, we also know that you ar ethe white rabbit of konoha." she could almsot hear the smirk in his voice at her nick name, such a hated name.25
"What of it?" she says as she stares at him surveying the dark cloak with teh red clouds. What type of orgnaization had clouds as it insignia it all seemed a bit comical. 26
"Just confirming that you are one of the last with the eye of the flame. Your ability would be a valuable assit to our cause."27
"And just what in the world is that?"28
"To rid the world of clans and ninja hidden cities, to bring a united peace to all."29
"Oh so you think you'll get this through killing?" she asks raising an eyebrow. 30
"It is the only way. With the death of many of the shinobi we shall bring the cities to there knees, and force the removal of all clan politics, thus leaving us open to take over." he laughs a cold sort of laugh. "It is the only way." his voice falling into deep chuckles before he truned and left her alone again, the door slamming shut wiht a click of the lock. 31
"Damn idiots." she says before laying flat on her back and looking up the ceiling, the scratchy blanket over her legs, hopefully she wouldn't have to get up to quickly. The blanket was likely to snarl around her legs, leaving her in a enbarssed pile on the floor, most likely being ridiculed. Of course things could be worse, well not really. Sighing she closes her eyes she neeeded to rest some more, her chakra was still low, low enough that even if she had the chance rto run she wouldn't be able to. It didn't take long for she to fall asleep quickly, into a deep sleep. 32
A deep sleep that was dangerous for one such as her, a sleep where she wouldn't awake as soon as someone walked into the room. She was so tired taht even if she didn'tw ant to fall asleep she couldn't help it, would just happen. Perhaps though the sleep wouldn't last that long, so that when someone did come back to her cell she would be back a awake, or at least into a light enough sleep that she would awake. 33
Her sleep lasted for nearly nine hours before she awoke, rested but still low on chakra. Precious, precious chakra, taht would give her the ability to leave this cell. Since it seemed there was no chakra draining seals on the cell. There didn't even seem to be any tracking seals on her, since most had to be painted onto the skin, then sealed with the persons chakra. The paint leaving a black tattoo like mark on the skin. If the person marked tried to use chakra or leave past a certain point the sealer would notice. 34
With a grunt she stood testing her healed ankle and pleased to find it nearly painless, nothing but a dull ache not even something she would normally notice if she hadn't been looking for it, her ribs felt about the same. Her finger though throbbed, she had slept with her hand tucked under body, resting her weight on it. Shaking otu her hand, she places her other hand over the finger and pushes a small amount of chakra into teh wound, enough to ease the pain to nonexistence. 35
Now it seemd it was time for a waiting game. For she could not event ry to escape until one o fthem opened teh door to her cell. In the back of her mind though she wondered what they where going to do to her, to make her use her blood line limit. It took so much to make it appear, to allow the flames to arise within and escape to tear the world apart with flames. Flames the color of purple and blue, ghost flames. Said to be the venegul fsouls of the dead, caputerd by her long ago ancestors chained and imprisioned in another plane. She didn't believe it though, to her the flames where all her pent up feelings those that she didn't allow to come out. Would they torture her with images of her friends dieing? Trap her in the Uchiha's mageyko sharigan. She had heard once that 3 seconds spent in it could be 3 hours, 3 days, or even 3 weeks. Secretly she would prefer dieing before being stuck in there and revealing the blood line limit. 36
Her eyes turned to the door as it opened flying to her feet and dropping into a defensive pose.37
"Quick little rabbit." says the Uchiha his voice dark almost holding some inner amusement.38
"What do you want?" asks Miyuki watching him but careful not to gaze into his eyes. To gaze into those eyes would be her demise she was sure. 39
"I'm sure you have guessed by now." the Uchiha steps closer to her, even as she balls her hands into fists, ready to try her best to defend herself even without her chakra back all the way. 40
"I won't, you can't make me." she says, even though the words where futile if they wanted they could make her unleash it it. 41
"Silly words." stepping closer he reaches out to touch her. Miyuki jumps away from him landing on the wall her mint green chakra holding her onto the wall. The Uchiha laughs at her attempt to escape in the small cell. 42
"Stay away." Forming seals she begins a jutsu it was over powered for teh samll space but she would rather die then reveal the fire eye. her hands flew through the hand signs. 43
"Foolsih." says Uchicha as he moves faster then her eyes could catch before she felt the cold pressure of a kunai agains her throat, perisly close to cutting the vein. Miyuki stiffens as her hans freeze the jutsu almost complete. 44
"I will let you kill me before I reveal it." she growls.45
"Hn." says Uchiha as he presses the kunai closer blood pooling on the blade. "How steady is that resolve?" he asks he was smirking but she couldn't see the slight upturn of his lip or the gleam in his eye. To prove a point Miyuki presses her neck harder against the blade wincing as it cut deeper into her neck. She was a medic so even as she pushed forward she knew she had a few mere millimeters before the blade would slice the vein open. 46
"Do it." she hisses out. 47
"Foolish." he says before pulling the blade away his other hand coming around to slam into the back of her neck knocking her out, as she tumbled towards the floor he caught her in his arm. Putting the kunai back in the holster on his hip, he shakes his head. The girl was foolish, preferring to fight then to just do what they wanted, it would be much less painful for her. Putting her over his shoulder he walks out of teh cell and towards the training grounds, it would be teh best place to force her to use the blood line limit. From what he had read it was rather destructive, almost consitent with the black flames of the great destructive mangekyo sharingan. AS they arrived he dumped her on teh ground a smirk forming on his face at the satisfying thump of her hitting the dusty ground. A groan left her lips as the jolt of falling and hitting the ground brining her back to consciousness. It only took a few seconds for her to force herself up and away from him. 48
"Where am I?" she asks looking around her neck throbbing as well as her head. 49
"You will revilve the eye of flame or you will be forced." he says coldly already nearly positive that he would have to force her. He wondered how close to death she would have to be forced till she would use it. He had never meet someone who had such an adversine to use such a powerful skill. She would be a force to fear at least S-class if she was to add it too her skills. She had proved her intelligence and strength in the battle, fighting even while semiconscious. It had been futile though there was three of them and only one of her by then. She had given all of them some heavy wounds, considering. Kisame was still grumbling about the mouse of a girl snapping two of his ribs.50
"Never." she hisses pushing herself up to her feet wobbling slightly, the hit on the back of her head so kindly given by the Uchiha making her head throb uncomfortably. 51
"Fine then." he says stalking towards her eyes turning red and starting to spin as he caught her in his bloodline limit. 52
"Fuck." she curses, she rarely cussed but finding yourself trussed up on a cross with 20 angry Uchiha's was enough to make anyone lapse into vulgarity.53
"Such language." says teh amny Uchiha's there voices blending into one loud representation of Itachi. Miyuki glares at him waiting for him to begin wahtever he wanted to do, but she would not reveal the eye of flame. Or at least she hopes she didn't she wasn't sure if the pain became too much she might not be able to control it or herself. 54
It seemed like an eterenity had passed since Itachi had started his creul game in an attempt to make her reveal the eye of flame. Really though it had only been 2 minutes since he had trapped her with the rotating comas of his read and black sharigan. 55
"I... I'm... not go... going to... sh.... show you it." rasps out Miyuki her voice hoarse and ragged from tehs creams, Itachi had pushed forth past her lips with each stab of cold steel into her gut and extremities. 56
"Your hold is weakening." muses Itachi a smirk on his face as the copies of him vanish leaving only one who heald a bloodied blade in each hand. Miyuki lifts her head to glare at him, his words where true though with each new jolt of pain she was closer and closer to uleashing the fury of the eye of flame on the uchiha. The torture began agains new wounds slashing across her only to close in time for another one, her voice and breath stolen. Collasping agains the bonds tghat held her, her eyes open revealing orbs of swirls in black and orange that seemed to wavier and twist like the dance for fire. 57
"Is this what you want?" she asks voice nearly silent, Eyes narrowing she extends her fingers masses of purple and blue flames dancing across her palms like gloves fo pure chakra. The flow traveled down her arms leaving markings of black flame tattoos startling against her pale skin. As the flames engulfed her spirit form they did so her human body. Within seconds she jerked herself out of the bindings ang into the real world. A silent scream issueing forth part her lips eyes flashing open to reveal the wavering black and orange depths.58
"So you escpaed again a bit more dramatically this time."59
Miyuk was laready on her feet the flames gaurding her leaving singed imprint on the ground. "You will die." she says her voice augmented to something almost animal like by teh flames. 60
"I wouldn't if I where you dear rabbit." he says simply. "We have something of value to you and if I was to die it would be destroyed." Reaching into his cloak he pulls out a photo, an old tattered photo, the only one Miyuki had of her parents. 61
"Where did you get that?" she growls out, eyes reiveted to teh photo taking in every detail. The fact that her parents wore matching jounin uniforms and headbands as well as beads braidid into a strand of hair on the right side. There pose was one of relaxed peace arms slung around each others shoulders with slight smiles on their faces. 62
"That you don't need to know. Stand down." 63
With a growl Miyuki does just that the flames dieing and the tatttoos receding, slowly her eyes turn back to their normal shade. Blinking once she takes a step towards Itachi, before falling back eyes rolling into the back of her head. It had been years since she had used her blood line and now she was paying the price. Itachi looked down at her before tucking the picture back in his cloak. Her display had been impressive and now his head ached from teh foce she had used to break out of his sharingan. 64
"Immreseive show." says the man with the cold voice as he walks up behind Itachi his form hidden in shadows.65
"Indeed."66
"Take her back to her cell and bring her some food. Now we have to convince her to join. It would be better if it was her choice." the cold voice mans walks away steps silent. Itachi bows slightly enough to show respect but not enough to be considered submissive. 67
Looking to Miyuki Itachi walks towards her cautious now as he watches her before bending down, making sure she was fully unconscious. Her breathing was even her eyes close tightly, her heartbeat or breathing not speeding up as he touched her face almost gently seeminly caring. If anyone was watching they would have wondered if what they had saw was truly what they had seen. Picking her up he puts her over his shoulder like before moving towards her cell and back into the base. It didn't take long for him to reach her cell before depoisting unceremounsly into the bed. With one last look he leaves her the cell door shutting heavily behind him the lock sliding into place. 68
Walking away fro the cell he heads towards the kitchen steps quick and purposeful while still deadly silent, inm the kitchen he creates a lunch plate for the prisiner left over rice balls and a small bowl of miso soup that someone had prepared the morning most likely Deidra or Konan, maybe even Kisame but Itachi was pretty sure that Kisame was still in his room with a hangover from drinking the night before. Once the food was on on the plate and in his hands he heads back to the cell, not brining any utenesils for to eat. Any ninja could us a fork or even a spoon as a weapon, thus she would given wooden plates and bowls and no utenesils. Unlcoking the cell he steps in to see her still unconscious curled in a ball on top of the bed. Loooking her over he sits the food down on the sink and turns to leave only to be stopped by teh sound of her moaning as if in pain. 69
"Mo..mother." whispers Miyuki body curling up tighter eyes squeezing shut before they flew opne thrusting her into the awake world. "Itachi." she hisses as she sees him, but her eyes move towards the food the smell of it making her stomach growl loudly. 70
"Hn. Eat." says Itachi before leaving the door locking behind him. 71
"Bastard." she hisses, but she moves towards the food anyways it had been quite a while since she had ate anything. Picking up the bowl she sniffs the soup before taking a sip of it. Testing it for poision she siles it didn't have any. With that noted she sluprs the rest down quickily. Looking at he rice balls she picks one up before nibbling into it testing it for poision before chowing down on it and then the other one not caring that she could tell that they where left over, slightly dry the fish in the middle nearly tasteless. It was food though and it would help her rebuild the chakra that she had lost. Again she was nearly empty from using the blood line limit after so long of not. Once done eating she examines the wooden bowel and plate, of course they weren't dumb enough to give her something that would be uesful. The wood could be made into a weapon if she had enough chakra to cut it and make it sharp enough, but knowing her luck the wood would be too soft to cause any real damange when she stabbed her opponent.
