Lullaby (complete)

The girl hummed beautiful music notes. He swayed to the song. "where did you hear that?" Caleb asked, whispering oh so softly. The girl looked up to him with inhuman eyes.  She smiled, showing her sharp jagged nasty looking teeth.1

Caleb stood his ground and asked again. "Where did you hear that song?",but her smile just got bigger. It sounded like the song he sang to his sister Ann to help her go to sleep. "A time of lies,unhappy endings,dark creatures and death..." she sung softly to him. Caleb recognized the song, it was the song he sang to Ann but only those two knew about! He shut his eyes and thought of Ann's funeral. no one knew how she died but he did know that his 16 year old Best friend Mike had this crazy theory that she was a vampire.when Mike saw the body, he kept demanding "cut hear head off! She's A bloody vampire" 2

Caleb's eyes snapped opened and he realized that this girl is no ordinary girl. It was his sister back from the dead. "Ann! It's-you!"He whimpered, holding in knife stabbing pain. "very good brother." Ann laughed bitterly,with so much evil and hatred in her baby blue eyes. "oh dear brother I would never hurt you." she lied, stepping closer to him.3

He didn't believe her, the tone in her voice didn't sound so...convincing. But when he backed up, he fell off lullaby cliff. He fell and fell till he hit the bottom with a sicking crack. She laughed cold heartily and sang again: "A time of lies,unhappy endings,dark creatures, and death..." 4

2 days earlier...
"So what are we going to do tonight? Mom and dad are out like always and Ann is out with her boyfriend. now what about us?" Caleb asked his older brother John. " I don't know about you but I'm going to the grave yard to write horror stories." John replied, eying him. "Can I come?" Caleb asked, knowing his brother wanted him to so he could TRY to scare his pants off. "Of course you can but don't get in my way OK?" John asked, smiling at Caleb in a evil way. Caleb just laughed and stuck his tongue out like a little kid but he was 14, not a kid anymore.6

His brother was 16 and in control, will so called. I just watch as those two were being Idiots. Caleb's glance caught mine. His brown eyes shimmered with fake pity. "You want to come rose? I don't want to leave you alone, mostly since your a guest." He asked, more like pleading.7

I laughed and nodded. "Oh great! A girl is going to ruin our fun! She will cry and beg to come back!" John joked, giving me a challenge. "Yeah um no, I will be fine, but I hope you won't cry to your mommies when you here my story I have to tell." I demanded, glaring at him. My name is rose and I'm 16 and let me tell you, I'm not a person who flunks out on dares. When we left the house, I had a bad feeling this would not go as well as I thought, mostly because someone was following us.8

I drove them to the graveyard and I felt John's eyes on me the whole time. It felt a little strange, but I just ignored it. We finally got to the gate of the graveyard and we opened our doors,got out and slammed the doors shut...HARD. "Hey! careful! this is my new damn car so watch it." I growled angrily.9

Then I looked at Caleb, who was just smiling at me. I smiled back and then I heard john's voice and my head snapped up to his face. "Huh?" I whispered. "I said come on girls! the graveyard is closed, we should go home." John shouted in my ear so I could "Hear" him. I snickered. "Of course it is, that's why we are sneaking in dumb ass!" I laughed again while he just gave me scowl.10

"Are you crazy? What if we get caught! I'm not going to jail!" Caleb gasped. "Fine. Be a baby! I guess you guys can go home while I'll have the real fun." I snickered, eying john to see if he noticed that I challenge. He did.11

He just smiled and already started to climb the fence. Caleb just stared in shock but then gain his self back quickly. "No,no,Hell no!" He groaned, and started for the car. He opened the back seat and sat there. I rolled my eyes and started to climb the fence too.12

Finally I jumped off the top of the fence and raced john to the graves. Then we started to read out our stories.13

He started first because he was such a "dedicated" male. Ha! He's the pig of his species. "Well this story starts off with a boy named Tin and he..." And let's just save it k? You don't want to hear this pathetic trash that's called a story. When finished his story, I was speechless. "I knew you would be scared." He declared, smiling at me. Then finally I just started to laugh and laugh. He frowned, and he let his eyes fall to my lips.14

Then before I knew it he pulled me in to his arms and was pressing his cold,soft lips to mine. I felt as if I was floating on the softest clouds. I felt so warm and fuzzy inside. I didn't know what to do! When he stop kissing me, he whispered pathetic sorries to me. I cupped his chin and pressed his lips to mine once again.15

It felt as if he was smiling. Why wouldn't he be? I knew he liked me but the question was do I really like him?16

Before I could answer my question, I saw a hand pop out of the grave behind him! I screamed. His head turned and he smiled. "Now the night has really begun Rose." He laughed. He put his hands to my waist and he pulled me up and slammed my body against a tree behind me. His hands were everywhere on me. His lips kissing my neck.17

For some odd reason I couldn't move or fight back. Then his lips slowly slid up to my ear. "You should have listen to Caleb rose, I'm not a good guy to be around. I'll tell you a real scary story and this one will scare you." He whispered to me. I got my strength back and I tried to pull free. All he did was slam my back right in to the tree again. "No rose, I think you'll like this one so stick around to hear it." He whispered in a harsh way.18

This time I stop struggling and listened. "Yes Rose, listen to the story I will share. The story starts off with a little boy who was abused and abused even when he did nothing. They called such mean things, even kids at school did. The kids at school were so horrible to him. They would cut him,hit him, even throw him down hundreds of flights of stairs. They hated him for no apparent reason."19

He sighed, "Then when he turned 16 he had enough. He went to a man named Lucien. He was the creature of the night. A vampire . The boy wished to be free of this pain, to be free to be happy." He declared, looking deeply into my eyes. Tears were flooded in them.20

"So this wish came to a price, he had to be alive forever. To be bitten. To be a vampire." His laugh crackled and he took out a knife in his front pocket. "Do you know who this little boy is rose well do?" "No." I whispered, biting my lip till it bled. "It's me, I was that little boy." He yelled at me, like if it was my fault. 21

He had the knife to the right side of my throat and quickly sliced my neck. It was done softly, it only hurt, there was no real damage. "But don't worry, I don't want to kill you. I know that you feel what I feel. You were a sad little girl. But now you are safe, now you can be with me for forever. You can live in a party, never stop having fun!" He laughed, walking away. Then I ran but he didn't notice. My dress was torn up, I was bleeding, I was dirty and wet.22

"Would you like that Rose?" I heard him say, then "Rose? ROSE! Come back! I'm giving you a chance to live!" I kept running. I crawled under the fence, in to the dirt and was now in front of the car. Then the person that was following us came to view.23

"Ann?" I asked. "Get in the car!" she screamed. I jumped into the passenger's seat and Ann stepped on the gas. The tires screeched and we were on the highway once again.24

"What the hell is going on Ann?" I whimpered in the passengers seat. "He told you the story, not me." She snapped at me. "Oh My God! that means...He's coming for us,more like me!" I shouted. Troy woke up and stared at me. I was holding my knees and I was shaking.25

Then a face appeared in the window. "I want Rose, give her to me and I'll let you live another day!" John shouted over the car's noise. "Go to hell!" Ann shouted, trying to swerve away from him.26

But it was too late, we screech to a stop. We were in my nightmares all over again. I was already out of the car sobbing. We were in the one place that nobody ever went. We were at Lullaby cliff.27

Then I heard Ann scream in pain. I turned around to John sinking his fangs into her neck. Blood started to flow. He could have done that to ME! I thought, Then does that mean Ann was going to be...one of the undead?28

Her face went pale and he let her drop, then his eyes searched for me but I was already running for the edge of the cliff, I knew it was either die or be the undead.29

Then I heard the car door slam and I turned around. I stopped in my tracks when I saw Caleb was the only one there, no john. No Ann.30

I walked back to the car to Caleb. I pushed him back to the car. He fell asleep in the front seat. I Got him home and I fell asleep in John's bed.31

~The next terrible day~32

I woke up to screaming and crying, I jolted out of bed and ran outside. When I saw what Caleb and his parents saw, I almost puked. John's body was hanging by a rope on the big blue porch. Blood dripping,guts splattered on the floor.33

I screamed and felt dizzy. A wooden stake was shoved right through his chest and right through his head. It was so horrible. I knew he was a vampire and all but who would take it this far?34

Then I saw the note hanging from his ankle...what was left of it.
I gulped and walked to his corpse. The smell was horrifying, the smell of rotten flesh, the foal smell that would haunt me for years.35

I grabbed the note and ran back, the smell was still with me, like I thought. I opened the note and was shocked to see the name.
The note said (which I read out loud to Cale:
Dear Caleb and rose,
I'm stronger then you can ever believe! I'm the undead and no john is dead. He was getting in the way. Now my plan is to kill all the other vamps and suck there powers dry. Like I did to John. Then you two will join me. And I'm not asking,I'm telling.
Your true Vampire,
Ann.36

I couldn't believe what I just read but then of course after what happen last night, why shouldn't I believe it? Then I noticed Ann's body behind his and she was just faking so her parents won't worry. Will that was my theory.37

"Oh My God! There's Ann!" I screamed just for her parents to not think that she was still alive. The mother moaned.38

~3 hours later~39

We had the funeral all set up and everyone was here. After all the drama of Caleb's friend mike, I thought it was peaceful. "She's a bloody vampire!" Mike screamed,"Cut her head off!" But everyone just glared at him.40

Then I couldn't take it anymore so I ran. Then I saw Caleb run too so I followed him. He went to Lullaby cliff. He sat down till we both heard music notes. Will you remember the ending but there was a twist that I didn't tell you yet so here is the ending.41

I walked out and laughed with her. This whole time I as working with her, this whole time I was planning to kill them both. John and Caleb. Yes that's right, I killed John. But now you know I wasn't the one who killed my beloved Caleb. Me and Ann planned this all. But she won't get to rule with me.46

Next thing she knew, I shoved a silver stake through her back to her heart. I pushed her off and that was it. I was the last of the vampires. In this town. Next, dark falls.47
