Alex fell head over heels for Kat the moment he saw her perform in a highschool play. He knows it's true love because his heart flutter-thumps and his palms get sweaty whenever he see's her. Unfortunately, every time he gets up the nerve to ask her out, she somehow manages to dissapear, leaving only the memory of her heartstopping, feline grin.1
One day, he overhears the lead for the new play Kat will be in has to dropped out. Thanking the fates for finally smiling on him, Alex immediately offers to fill the leads place. Of course the fates sometimes have an odd sense of humor, and it isn't until he shows up for rehersal that he discovers the play is Alice in Wonderland...and the lead was a girl. 2

This was well written. How many of us have been in the same position as Alex? I can imagine any reader would be compelled to read this book because it is so close to home. How far will Alex go? I wonder. Thank you for entering and good luck in the contest.

Thanks so much for your comments, Leaftail and Xtclozer. Sorry about the question about the ravers. There weren't acutally any raver names in this story. I'd put that question in for another story and when I wrote this one I forgot to take the question out.
