Dear Friend,1
I always will be a dyslexic writer until the day that I die. There is no magic pill; I can take to help improve my writing skills. The only answer is hard work and a friend like you.2
How many times that I have sat in front of the computer and wishing for a cure. After those long nights of struggling to edit a chapter, I came to realize only hard work will improve my editing skills.3
Friend, what you do not see is the pain and the fight in my mind. When my eye tells me, it is right and my ears tell, me it is wrong. It can be very annoying at times. 4
I wish you could see the joy, when I read my work in my head and see my mistakes without using my software. There is a huge smile painted across my face!5
All my life, I have struggled with dyslexic in I was in school. Even today, it affects day-to-day living. Reading a simple novel at times can be a struggle or shopping for food as well; trying to read reviews about my work can be difficult.6
The one thing I wish that people would understand that certain suggestions towards editing do not work for me. My mind thinks and acts different from the average mind.7
Here are some examples:8
1. Read your work really slow to find the errors.9
If I read my work any more slower; I would be ninety before my novel is finished.10
2. Read your work aloud to yourself.11
When I read my work aloud in my voice, I read as I see it in my mind.12
3. Wait a day before you edited a chapter.13
I waited about a week before I edited a chapter. It really helps me.14
4. Have a friend to read your work aloud to you.15
To be honest, lot of my friends are busy trying to make a living and don't have that kind of time to give me.16
I found that works for me is by showing examples of SPAG. I used those examples in my future chapters when I edit.17
I have improved so much in my grammar skills. I came to understand that having good grammar skills makes my work easier to read and my readers will comprehend my ideas.18

Lynn,
I struggle with numbers, maybe not the same thing as what you struggle with but I understand.
Thank you for this glimpse into your world.

Are you really Dyslexic? Oh. Well I'm really impressed that you write so well. It was a good thing to read too. Kinda new to me. Since I haven't read anything like it before. But truly something amazing. Good Job! =D
