Episode 6: New Friends (?)

Scriptwriter: * holds up a picture of last scene * When we last left off we were with Lola and Keshi in the Laboratory. I would now like to move from there to another cozy scene in a nearby zoo…. * holds up another picture *1

Boy: * points at Lion * Dude, that is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen, did you see that lion pounce that rabbit? He like totally ripped its head off!2

Boy 2: Dude, like no way! That was so awesome!3

Girl: ok, Luke, Jack, drop those stupid voices now; who do you think you are?4

Luke: * points at the scriptwriter * Figments of her imagination….5

Jack: * nods in agreement * Lucy, stop complaining.6

Lucy: * rolls her eyes * Why does that STOOOOPID scriptwriter have to have boys in her imagination… you guys are ~SO~ dumb!7

Luke: Yeah… the scriptwriter doesn’t like us either, but at the same time she cant get my sexy voice out of her head * winks at the scriptwriter *8

Scriptwriter: * rolls her eyes and tries to figure out how boys got into her story looking as annoyed and confused as Lucy * Well, anyway, so now to finish up that last scene with Keshi.9

Keshi: * pushes the red button on her watch *10

Lola: * looks terrified * Keshi, please, PLEASE tell me you DID NOT just hit that button!!!11

Keshi: * hums a good funeral tune * Oh… I did, is that a problem my ~fake~ friend? * looks at her very annoyed * 12

Lola: So, what does that button do anyway?13

Keshi: oh, well I have it programmed to... * looks thoughtful * I’m not sure… I programmed this watch almost 2 years ago… * glances down to the button * I know, I’ll pull out the manual!14

Lola: Why do you have a manual for a watch you made? O.o’15

Keshi: * glares at Lola * what are you? Stupid? I made a manual with the very wise expectation that something like this would happen! As a scientist U feel it my responsibility to be prepared for all these things.16

Lola: Keshi?17

Keshi: Yes?18

Lola: right now you don’t sound… insane… it’s kind of creepy.19

Keshi: * looks up from her watch manual * Well, I’m not insane, I just find being like you and all of YOUR people very dull and monotonous.20

Lola: Oh… * watches her thoughtfully *21

Keshi: * smiles and puts on her thick-lensed glasses from her pocket carefully inspecting the watch * well… I envy normal people like you actually, it can be hard to be like me.22

Lola: Why don’t you change then? * Watches over keshi’s shoulder as she works. *23

Keshi: You can’t change who you are, I couldn’t make you me, and I couldn’t make me you, ya’know?24

Lola: * nods * Well, what’s that button do?25

Keshi: *looks up, her face suddenly grim and her eyes full of fear * we only have 10 minutes till doomsday… or we had 10 minutes when this watch started….26

Lola: * looks horror stricken * How do we stop it?27

Keshi: * smiles wickedly * We can’t… or do you own a rocket ship that can get us to the moon?28

Lola: * gasps * You mean… we cant? We’re gonna DIE!!!29

Keshi: Just Kidding! *smiles brightly and calmly walks to her desk, sitting in her chair and leaning back * Why would I have means of destroying the world? * glances at Lola, raising an eyebrow * actually, don’t answer that… I probably don’t need to know.30

Lola: In that case, what does it do?31

Keshi: Oh, well it summons my elite group of friends. I can’t recall who I chose at the moment… * acquires a musing look and rubs her chin in a practiced sort of way *32

Lola: * looks crest-fallen * I’m not elite?33

Keshi: Well actually, you’re one of the five who made the cut, remember that locket I gave you for Christmas, welded shut?34

Lola: *pulls a chain with a small red heart that appears to be pulsing from under her hoodie and looks at it surprised * 35

Keshi: It has a noise mechanism inside it, but I never bothered to activate it, I didn’t want it to frighten you before I got around to telling you what it was…36

Lola: Your lack of sanity is impressive, but why would you need something like this?37

* Suddenly they are interrupted by a large bang as a metal slide crashes to the floor from the ceiling and a girl, followed by two boys slide down into the Laboratory. *38

Keshi: LUCY!!!!! * Runs to the slide and gives the girl a tight hug * Where have you been? * Glances at the two boys then stands to attention and salutes, and they salute back * And my agents, Luke and Jack, how you doin?39

Lola: *walks up * so, who are these people? 40

Keshi: only my super savvy sidekicks and very best friends, Lucy, * points to Lucy * Luke, * points to Luke * and Jack. * points to Jack * We’ve been together since Kindergarten in Mrs. Dorothy’s class… Ah… those were the days. And you three, this is Lola! * waves to Lola * She’s in training to be a sidekick. 41

Lucy: So, what’s with the summoning? * holds up her flashing pink watch * Is this a test or an emergency?42

Keshi: Just an irrational action caused by lack of thought… * waves dismissingly *43

Luke: So… have you missed me? * winks at Keshi *44

Keshi: * rolls her eyes * In your dreams buddy… you may be charming... but you can’t fool me, I hired you and trained you. 45

Jack: And I’m the good-looking one anyways!46

Lucy: Keshi, lets throw them off the team….47

Luke and Jack: NO!!!! * Panicked expressions cross their faces * We’re your best spies among the male groups… you can’t survive without us!48

Keshi: * laughs * Wanna try it Lucy?49

Lucy: * eyes gleam dangerously * I don’t think they’d make it out in the real world with out us… lets experiment.50

Luke: Lola, plead our case * pouts * Please?51

Lola: * comes out of a daze * hmmm?52

Luke: * rolls his eyes * Never mind… where’d you get this one Keshi? She’s a real blonde… 53

Keshi: School… provides the best test subjects… * sighs and looks away * I’m done arguing… * is suddenly serious * Lets have something to eat…54

Luke and Jack: We can stay then? * Look to each other and then Keshi and Lucy *55

Keshi: * looks at them tiredly * I was kidding from the start…56

Luke: Are you mad about something now?57

Keshi: I need a nap… * looks tiredly around * Lets have Ice cream and soda…58

Lucy: Gosh Keshi, you look TIRED! * Looks surprised *59

Luke: Keshi tired? Psht… not in this world. Lucy, take a reality check.60

Lucy: What do you think I’m doing, just listen to Keshi, she sounds so unbearably normal… * glares at Luke *61
