The Rain

Falling from the heavens1

The rain falls like tears2

Each tear a representation of3

A soul heaven won’t accept4

It’s a cry for help and suffering5

An apology for sin6

Although its disregarded7

The soul is on its way to hell8

It was never meant to live9

A peaceful afterlife10

And so it falls a lost soul11

Now linked to hell’s domain12

It never had a chance13

To make up for its wrongs14

And now must suffer a fate15

Of eternal damnation16

And so I ask you now17

Do you really love the rain?18

When all it truly is19

Is lost souls of the damned?

Author notes

This poem i think if philosophical and rather meaningful. It has some deep vibes to it I think, but I always love an opinion ^^

This is very creative and a very interesting write. I personally think of rain as a clensing act. I wrote a poem called reign that used the rain shower he was in to hide his emotions from his lover/friend. He could cry and his friend/lover couldn't see.

Read it it's a decent write I think. I have it penned to my page. It's one of the reasons I decided to have this contest... to see how others viewed rain.

Like I said good write. Enjoyed the read even if it was a bit on the sad side. I feel sorry now for those souls... there is no hope for redemption.

    Thanks for joining the contest.

This very depressing and sad. Since we are all connected by the Matrix as one, how can souls be lost? How can a Universe of unconditional love and forgiveness, dismiss certain souls from life after life? The definition of sin as translated from Aramaic, the language of Jesus, is miss the mark and each soul has a chance to retry. Hence, every soul living many lifetimes learning the lessons of karma and how to break the cycle of life and death.
