My Great Life ~Chapter 4~

Its pouring outside. Im sitting in my new room on my new window seat with nothing to do.  Dad's still at work and mom is reading her latest book.  Why oh why did we have to come here?!?  I highly doubt that its pouring in San Diego!  I havnt talked to Amy since-1

"MELLISA!"2

"Yah?!?"3

"Phone!" Could it be? Oh please be Amy!4

"I'll get it in my room!" Here goes nothing, "Hello?"5

"Hey Missy!  Long time no talk!" YES!6

"AMY!  You have no idea how happy I am to talk to you!"7

"Jeez girl, you sound desperate!  Whats up?"8

"Oh nothing...its just raining like theres no tomorrow and I have NOTHING to do!  Hows the weather down there?"9

"You dont want to know." Uh oh...10

"Just tell me!"11

"Its sunny and hot and....well....I got invited to go to the beach with....Matt."  Matt....her older brother.....Rrrrrr!.....Amy's brother has the coolest boat!  Last summer we all took a trip to Catalina for the weekend on his boat!12

"Oh....so when are you leaving?" Why did she call me? This is torture!13

"Not for another hour....I thought I'd call you to see how you were doing up there before I left for the weekend."14

"Are you guys going up to Catalina again?"15

" Unfortunately yes.....I wish you were here Missy!  I miss you so much and it wont be the same this year!"  Tell me about it!16

"It;s ok.....you just have fun...dont worry about me!  Im sure I can get my mom to play Scrabble with me or something." Yah right.17

"Ha ha...very funny.  I know as well as you do that your mom would rather read one of her books than play Scrabble!  And there is no way on earth that I will be able to have fun without you!" How is she knows me so well?  Oh yeah, we're best friends!18

"Amy I need the phone!-Did you here that?"19

"Yah....I figured she'd need it sooner or later."  Amy's mom is always interupting our conversations to call someone.20

"Sorry...I knew it too...Well, I'll call you when I get back I guess."21
