JT : Reality Found

“Tevarus. How did you become…this. This demon I mean? Untill now vampires were fantasy. A myth for those of us who wish to escape this world.” Turning his back to me he steps closer to the gazebo. “Why do you want to know? You know why! There is nothing to tell.” Forcefully speaking as if he was nervous and didn’t want to mention it. Turning I walk to him still faceing the gazebo. “I want to know how your life ended. I know when but…” Suddenly he faces me stunned at what I know. “Who told you…?!”1

“Sam did with why not to change someone so young!” I yelled back to him.2

“She is right.” Giving in he lets go and tells everything. “I was upset after you left. I…I..didn’t know what to do! I treated you so bad that I didn’t see it till then.” He faces me with this sadden look that I could not ignore. 3

His arm stretches out towards me revealing his wrist. A scar stretches both wrist. “I took my life after seeing what I have done. I did not care where I was destined when I did it. My soul was now trapped in its own cage of torment. Demons of different kinds, each with their own torment to give. Hell was nothing like we would imagined. An ocean of screams filled the air. Enough to drive you insane.” As Tevarus looks down recalling his jurney to that place I walked him to sit at the gazebo. “But why did he come to you?” Smirking a little at my question he continues. “I was the only soul that accepted my pain and like the rest I grew to love the evil we displayed. 4

My silence intrigued him so much that he just appeared to me. He asked, “You are just what I am looking for to join my army of demons. Will you come?” I took his hand to follow him. We were sent to the surface to influence others from time to time. Then I saw you. I was his best worker showing no remorse untill you came. He saw what I wanted the most. For the first time I showed my weakness to him. But instead of using it against me Satan asked me if I wanted a second chance. The thought was so irrisitable. Like the evil I whispered I knew there was a price for this gift. Looking back at him I answered, “What do I need to do?” Standing still for a moment he smirked and walked me to a corner. 5

Satan turned to introduce a demon that appeared in the dark shadows. 6

“Oranis is my servant like you. But unlike you he will not surface without me. That is what you are for. I want to influence fear in people again. They are no longer afraid of vampires due to the stories and movies that are out. They are now fantasies. I want you to turn their fantasies into reality again. For centuries I place a vampire to stir the pot as you say. There has been several battles against each other. Clans are formed and just like my children you play to be the best.” Both of them smile while talking about the battles these clans do. Confused to what happens I look at the people on the streets. Oranis answers, “ The battles are not held here. People fear families missing or turning up dead from time to time. Becareful though not to draw attention to what is really happening. The clan battles started with one wanting to be the master to them all. Each clan is to protect their own or join and become allies. We are down to three clans willing to be allies for one another. You are to become a vampire and all that will follow this belief will follow you.” Surprised by this position of responsibility I asked, “ Why me?” Oranis steps back and Satan steps up. "The woman your heart reveals is special and has the ability to make a difference in our plan. If you do this you can find her and make her yours again. Live this new life together if you wish." Shocked at his explanation I stop and look at him with a serious look on my face. "I wanted to be with you again so strongly that I gave it no thought. I accepted the chance to live this life and to find a way to be together again. Oranis stepped up to my acceptance with a single bit and drop of his blood. I worked for several years planning this new life with the other clans for our survival. We needed more of a closer way to infulence. Now we do." Silent in thought I realize I was the devils reason for what may come. So many questions to ask I just rambled them off. "Why me?, What am I supposed to do in this evil quest?, Am I some kind of weapon?, I..." Before I could finish Tevarus stands up to try to calm me down. " Love, you have powers that deal with the weather and fire. If you harness this you are capable of anything." I interupt his attempt to explain. "But am I to be used to bring someone here or to go to battle?" He leans down to kiss my forehead. 7

"Don't dwell on this till the time comes to reveal your purpose." Prepareing for the new moon Sam and I stayed together talking about those that share are thoughts on this life we live. Taken without a choice. There were not many. Sam and Tyler were the two in the woods I saw that night. They remain by my side forever helpful. I consider them more like family. A family trapped in a nightmare you can’t wake up from.8

So much time went by for Mark that he would search after work to find his wife. One evening he came home to a man standing outside his door. Walking up the steps he tells the gentleman, "May I help you?" He looks out to the street and answers. "I'm here about you wife." Stunned to hear someone mention they were there to discuss his wife he interigates the man. "Do you have information on her disappearance? What is your name? Where is she? Do you know if she is alive?" Raising his hand he suggest that Mark calms down. "I have information but I would like to go somewhere else to talk." Looking at him he questions his request. "Who are you first?" With a concerning voice he replies,"My name is Tyler. I am friends with Samantha and your wife Nia. Please may we go!" Marks eyes widen. "Yes, where?" As they head to his truck they drive off. "Head to the mall it will be crowded and easier to blend in." They walk to the food court. Mark just off of work grabs a bit to eat and sits down with Tyler. "You mentioned you are friends with my wife. Have you worked with her?" Nodding his head he replies. "No, we all live in the same home. She is like me and Samantha we refuse to accept this life of ours." Confused he swallows to speak. "What life? So she is alive." 9

"Not really. In a way she is..it."10

"Tyler, either she is or she isn't!" Mark says abruptly.11

Tyler gets frustrated. "Mark it is dificult to explain we are dead but still walk! The one thing we thought was fiction is real. Vampires do roam and we are one of them."12

Nervous to move he glances at his teeth as he spoke. "You got to be joking right. This can't be right.” He pauses. “You are not kidding are you."13

Shakeing his head. "No I am not. I came to my parents to tell them but instead I frightened them. The said I was dead and never coming back. I never went back again. Samantha started to see her family but found them giving her a funneral to an empty grave. Now I am here to tell you to stop your search and continue your life without her." 14

Mark refusing to accept his proposal he leans forward. "Where is she and what do I have to do? There has to be something!"15

They get up to walk back to the truck. "Look Mark there is nothing that can be done. You are now separated by death and she is his now. Besides there is something big going on and it is best if you stay out."16

Angered and upset at the news he stops. "She is who's now? And what is going to happen? Answer me!" He shouts. Tyler quickly turns around and pulls Mark to the shadows of the bushes. "Listen to me! You are like others that want to be with their loved ones. Some just give up and some sacrifice themselves to be with them. Those that leave to find their family find this man." He hands him a card with a name and address. "They all share the same thoughts as Samantha and your wife. To live without taking life. If you seek him out he will explain everything. You will be given a choice to leave or stay. Once your decision is made you can never go back." 17

While taking the card Mark looks up. "What do you mean sacrifice?"18

Tyler disapeared into the darkness replies, "He will let you know." Looking for where he went Mark puts the card in his pocket and gets in his truck. Once home he goes to sit at the computer. He pulls out the card and looks up the address. Mark stays up all night pacing back and forth. Looking back at the card from time to time. "I have attempted and failed to kill myself to be with her. If I am going to die. Might as well let him do it." He sits down and writes a letter to his family and children. His love poured out onto this paper in hopes they may understand a little of what he has to do. Sealed and stamped the letter he heads out the door. Like a hell bound bat he punches the gas and races to this man.19

Tonight Tevarus leaves the mansion to visit the master. Tyler and Sam came with me to meet in the farthest part of the mansion. Looking at Tyler in anticipation I ask, “How many times does he go to meet this Oranis?” Keeping watch of anyone coming. “He only leaves when called in his sleep. This will be the third time he has left here to return to hell.” Sam confused as much as I am continues. “I don’t know this master other than by name. I was just told a few months ago to find a place for us women to get clothes for the new moon. The new moon appears every month and we go out to feed or they come to us. This month we go out. But what I don’t understand is I heard Tevarus mention something about a new moon to start our new beginning.” Thinking of my time spent studing the stars and moon I remembered. “Ofcourse. The new beginning is on a special new moon. Not the normal moon cycle. This next October is when we have a full lunar eclipse on a harvest moon. But what does that have to do with me?” The two look strangly at me and each other. “I was told I had some purpose, some way of helping Satans plan out. I just don’t know what!” Frustrated I walk to the window. Tyler being around longer than Sam and I comes closer. “My lady, there has been mention of rumors about this plan or prophecy. A prophecy a single ruler to free him from hell and lead us to a new life. But it can’t be done without Clisthert, and a woman gifted by the heavens.” I thought this is what I needed to know. I must be this gifted one. But what I am supposed to do is still unclear. Tyler looks to Sam and they look at me. “We know were Clisthert is my lady. He stays with the other clan on the west side of the states.” Sam speaks nervously. “Clisthert is the demon who controls the night and day. Cyth is the clan leader. He came up with the blood bank idea.” The air grew still as they spoke what others would not tell me. “It took the four clan leaders to start this and it has taken off to be our main food supply. Unlike us and Brian’s clan, Cyth and Dillan do not indulge in our animal like habits unless they wish to grow as a clan. Still that is something they do not take pleasure in doing.” Tyler’s voice spoke truthful but I had an uneasy feeling that he was not telling me everything. “I would like to talk to Cyth and Clisthert about this prophecy.” They bow their heads. “I will send for them.” I raise my voice to answer not wishing for Tevarus to find out. 20

“No!” I lower my voice. “Please, I would like to go to them.” Sam ‘s eyes grew big and she looked at me frustrated. “Are you out of your mind my lady. Please forgive me but you can’t even leave without Lord Tevarus. Your always to remain close to him.” Tyler interupts. “Yes, it is best if we send for them to meet us in a private place nearby the grounds.” Lost in what to do I listen to their suggestions. “Ok. I will not leave. But before we send for them I will attempt to see what I can get out of Tevarus first.” Sam worried about me she replies. “Do be careful my lady.” Putting my hand to her face I smile and nod. “I will. Now let us return.” We leave walking the halls talking about what to wear for the new moon and the places Sam has been to get them. Trying to blend in we pass Tevarus coming out of the portal room. He looked so serious. Almost like he got some bad news. “My dear are you ok?” I asked as if I am adjusting to this life well. He looks at me and quickly smiles. “Yes. Traveling to hell is no fun. I’m ok.” He picks me up and spins me around the hall. Laughing I ask. “What has gotten in to you? You never acted like this before?” Setting me down he kisses me so sweetly. “Nothing. I just love you so much.” His face was happy but his eyes looked sad. “Dearest. I was wondering. What is to happen for the beginning?” Tring to hide what bothers him he starts to walk with us. “Oranis will rise to live among us. The night stops and fire with give birth to our master.” 21

“So I am to burn something to bring him here.” Show a strong interest in knowing what happens he turns his head to see me. “Why do you want to know so much.” Smiling I take his hand. “I need to know what I must do don’t I.” Reluctant to answer. “Y…yes, but it is not till a year from now. I will come to tell you it all in time.” Stilling wanting to know more I continue. “Is this some kind of prophecy I must fulfill? Smiling while I took his hand I could sense his feelings for me are true. "Sam said she found a place to shop for the upcoming event. May we go shopping like mortals to our hearts content." Still somewhat reluctant to let me roam away he sighs. "I may be reluctant to take life but I have accepted that I must feed to survive. This is not the life I chose but I can no longer be apart of the life I once knew." 22

A sad reality I am slowly facing while tring to find my purpose to this prophecy and why I am so different. Tevarus smiling to see me be apart of his new life he agrees. "We all will go and shop. It is about time we got some new clothes anyway." I smile at Sam and Tyler letting them now this is our chance to find out if the rumors are true. They return with a nod as Tevarus walks to the center of the main floor. "Everyone attention! Tomorrow we will go out to shop. This month we feast in style. All cheer to this fun new idea. Tyler turns to me with worry on his face. "Why are you so interested in the prophecy? We will find out in time." Taking his hand I answer. "I must know. Maybe I can change things." Tevarus comes up the steps. "It is late my dear. Tomorrow is a new night." Smiling. "Yes it is. You will take the men and I will take women and we will fluant to our hearts content. Goodnight Tyler, Sam." Bowing in respect. "Goodnight my lady." Tevarus and I head to our room just before the sun peeks through the tree tops. That day Mark is at the airport to find the answers to his questions. Tired from no sleep his mind goes over what Tyler mentioned to him at the mall. "What big thing is going to happen and what sacrifice must be made? I feel like I am chasing a ghost." He sits back to stare at the ceiling as the planes engines soothe him to sleep for his ride down. 23

The next night We all gather to the main floor to leave for our night of fun. We leave in groups of six per car to a gothic store in Cyths town. Going in we scatter like rats picking up clothes and jewlry to try. So many trenches, dresses, corsets, makeup and jewlry. We were popping in and out adding to our wardrobe faster than they could ring it up. With two more outfits left I heard a voice talk to Tevarus. “My friend it has been a while.” It was Clisthert and Cyth. “Friends. What are you doing here?” One opens his arms and replies, “This is my home town you are shopping in. You did not even invite us to this frenzy of clothing.” Tevarus grinning big. “Forgive me everyone expand your wardrobe. You too Clisthert.” They laugh outloud and venture to see what is around. Clisthert graps a couple of articles and is suddenly covered from Tevarus view by Sam and one other woman to the ladies dressing room. 24

Cyth is showboating his style to Tevarus while this meeting takes place. The door opens and Clisthert is invited in. He kneels to the floor. “My lady. What do you wish of me?” Bowing I begin. “Please stand. I know the beginning is coming soon. What I would like to know is what is to happen?” Looking deep into my eyes he tries to answer. “It is…..forgive me lady but I heard they found the prophecy woman but I did not believe till I saw you. We are to bring Oranis here. We blend in with the modern world so well that Oranis will be the one king to rule this family of vampires.” 25

“I thought the four clans joined to not have a single ruler?” I questioned.26

Nodding he continues. “Yes it is. We were told that one year there will be a single ruler. No one new who or when till Tevarus came to be in the family. There are only two people who truly know who created us all. Tevarus and Brain. They follow him. The rest was created by one of the leaders. The clans may be together now but when the time comes to be under one leader I’m afraid the clans will split in two.” Confused I start to stand. “Are you not a vampire as well?” 27

“No my lady. I am a demon of day and night. I am to stop the night for you to fulfill his transition to this world. One of the clan leaders shall be chosen by Oranis to be feed by you. Inside that burning body his demon soul will be reborn.” Surprised by all of this I step closer to him. “Do they know who it is yet?” Shaking his head he quietly answers. “No. None of us will till that night. Tevarus is the only one Oranis calls to see if everything is going accordingly.” My eyes widen to remember his expression that night he visited. 28

“Is that all he sees him for or would he know more about the transition?” Looking at the time he finishes our conversation. “Only if he came upon some information from a general demon Oranis confides in. If that is all. I bid you goodnight.” Bowing. “Goodnight Clisthert and thank you.” Bowing and turns to leave. “Your welcome.” He leaves to join Cyth in his decisions on clothing and tales of his works on the people of the streets. Tevarus looks to my dressing room and smiles. I wave and return to try on another outfit. Sam helps me get dressed and sees me stare at the mirror with a blank face. “What are you thinking my lady?” No longer staring I look at Sam in the mirror. “Oh just wondering if Tevarus found out something he shouldn’t have heard. He seemed so angered that night.” Smiling big she giggles. 29

“Sam! What are you laughing about?” I laughed with a grin. “Oh nothing my lady. Just I think you might be growing fond of Lord Tevarus.” I lift my hands to pick at them. “Nnoo.” I look up at her. “Well I don’t know. It has been so long since I have seen Mark. I will always love him. The life I once knew is slowly fading compared to this new one that I don’t know what to feel. All I have now is this life with the family. So I might be.” Facing the others Tyler heard this and wanted to tell me about Mark. As soon as he turned his head to see me I stepped out in a black corset with red lace. A black skirt with a slit on each side almost to my hips complemented my high heel boots with buckles. Walking over to Tevarus everyone stopped talking to stare at me with smiles and nods. Tevarus turns his head to look at everyone and I catch his eye. He does not take his eyes off of me. “Love, you look amazing! Oh dearest this is Cyth and Clisthert, my lords this is Lady Nia.” Introducing us I bow to them. “My lords.” They bow in respect. Cyth as he bows looks at me the whole time not ever seeing me before. I smile to his amazment at me. “Well my lord we have two full bags for each child. Oh and my lords did you find something for your family?” Smiling in agreement. “Yes my lady we did. Thank you two for a fun night.” Tevarus and I bid them goodnight and we leave back home. While in the car he goes over the blood bank accounts doing his normal business. “Your outfits there are beautifull on you my dear.” I look to see his face. “Thank you.” A part of me still wishes to be normal again but there is a small part that is remembering the feelings I once had for Tevarus. Seeing me stare out the window he puts the papers for his accounts away. “You still miss him don’t you?” Surprised that he asked me about my feelings I figit. “Honestly, yes I do. There is nothing I can do. I will always love him but us being together will cause more harm than good.” Angered at this fact I shed a tear. He takes his thumb to rub my tear away. “But I am here and you can’t hurt me. You are not alone my love.” Being alone was getting harder to deal with. Not feeling loved for so long hurt to much. I heard nothing for several months on his search. Thinking it had ended or he took his own life I started to cry. Tevarus took me into his arms and held me till I stopped. 30

Tyler stayed at the store to find Cyth. Walking up he startles him. “Lord Cyth, may I have a word with you?” 31

Cyth stops to turn to see who addresses him. "Tyler shouldn't you be with the others on their way home?" Looking very serious at Cyth he begs. "Please I have some information need you to hear." Telling the others to go on and stays by Tyler side they walk to Cyth's home. "You know you are welcome here anytime. I just wish we could live our lives and not have the deaths of innocent on our minds. So, what is this important information you have for me?" Relaxing a bit to his hospitality he goes on. "Thank you sir. I have visited my ladies mortal husband to incourage him to end his search." Nodding Cyth knows what is to come from this conversation. "And he will not stop. Does he seek me out?" 32

"Yes he does. I have not seen such strength to find their loved one like this before. Many have joined to be with them but not like this. His love for her could over power anything that gets in his way.” Relaying this with such amazement at his strength Cyth stops a second. “Do you think it is possible he might be what we are looking for?” Tyler thinks and agrees. “If they were in hell he could find her. Yes he could be the help we are looking for.” They arrived at the front grounds of the gated mansion. Heading up they open the gates and Cyth calls for three other men to come over to us. “Jack, Stan, Devon! I want you to gather the group and meet us in the east wing.” Nodding they go and send the message. Cyth leads Tyler to the east side and carry on about what is going on with Tevarus. “So is he giving you guys a hard time or has he gotten soft since his marrage?” Tyler laughs with him till Clisthert is out of sight. “Here you go Tyler. You will sleep in the east wing.” Cyth keeping calm they head into a room. “If someone knocks answer but tell them you are tired. If they whistle let them in. Ok!” Tyler nods as Cyth grabs the door to close it. As the door closes Tyler hears Cyth run into Clisthert in the hall. “Clisthert how may I help you?” 33

“Cyth, you have been a gracious host but I must head back tomorrow and prepare for the prophecy.” Clisthert looks down the hall and back.34

“Oh. Well it has been an honor having you here with us good friend. Till the new night then.”35

Shaking hands. “Till the new night. Cyth you know I am neutral on sides if something should come from this. I will say this she is need but also feared. Goodnight.”36

Watching him retreat to his room he answers. “Goodnight lord Clisthert.” Cyth turns to Tylers room. He whistles and the door opens. “What did he mean by she is also feared Cyth?” Staring to think of the information given he looks at Tyler. “Does Tevarus have complete control of her?” 37

He looks at him questionable. “No she still hates to take human life and still misses her mortal husband. She is however starting to take to this life like the rest of us. Why?”38

“So she lives like us. We are all together to survive. What if Oranis wants to half the use of blood and the other half taking lives.” A whistle is heard from behind the door. Upon opening ten people with the three others walk in. Cyth putting his hands together begins this meeting. “What is the word in our family?” A woman in the middle of the crowd speaks. “My lord, we may be evil in pleasure, stealing, and influences but this clan agrees with Dillan’s in not taking life unless creating another.” Devon steps up to speak. “This is true we have accepted our vampire family. I would like to know of Tevarus’s wife. Is she like us or completely lost to the demon inside her?” Tyler interupts the flood of questions. “She is not consumed by her demon. She is like us but with power.” 39

“Tyler’s right. She is the key to Oranis arrival to earth. She is feared though.” Cyth’s clan looks at him for an explanation. “The reason she is feared is she could be the only one with powers when he arrives. And not knowing fully what her powers are scares then enough to wonder if she can destroy him or chance to do what he pleases.” 40

“What is her powers?” Asked someone in the back of the room. 41

Tyler answers. “Fire obeys her will and like Jupiter she controls the storms.”42

“We are to live under one ruler. What if we are treated as trators for not feeding like the rest. People will find out quicker of our existance if we feed more. You know this.” Devon’s statement makes the crowd nervous. Cyth calms everyone down. “People please. Things are changing. But this was what we keep in our minds. If our lives changed that could draw attention to ourselves then we are in agreement.” Looking seriously at everyone he can tell by their expressions it is real. 43
