There once was a girl1
who had forgotten about her fears...2
though she did not know the world3
would bring wrath along with her tears.4
Oh...but she had no clue. 5
What was going to happen in the coming years?6
She did not know that the cause of her tears7
would be all because of you.8
'But it cannot be,9
it's just some boy.'10
Say what you will, but take it from me:11
That boy brought her anything but joy.12
She felt so guilty for all of her selfish ways.13
She loved him...if only he would...14
She would never hate him even if she could. 15
Never once did she stop counting the absence of his days.16
The night that had started it all ended pretty bad.17
Through it all, the girl...she looked around.18
Why did everyone seem to be so sad?19
She was just cutting loose from the life she was bound.20
All the times after that were just getting worse.21
She kept saying she wished to end it all...22
But, this cannot be the way she will fall.23
Was this just the beginning of a fatal curse?24
Everything is turning out to be so dark.25
Every time she seemed to go too far, 26
all she earned was another scar.27
When you leave her again, she'll be left with this mark. 28
The tears that this girl shed were not only of water.29
The tears that she bled30
were of the deepest crimson red...31
and she bled as if someone had shot her. 32
Maybe one day she will be set free.33
But, until then she will just have to keep going.34
And just so you know...that girl is me.35
Are the tragedies of my past showing...?36
Author notes
My name is Tiffany. People are always saying that I'm emo. I'm not. I don't know what I am. I'm just depressed. I've had my heart broken by this guy too many times. I've been in love with him since the 3rd grade, and I still am in love with him (I am now in the 7th grade.) This poem is about one night at a football game and how he affected me after that.
