Volcanic eruptions delude gray matter,1
a psyche plagued with razor sharp desires;2
conscience in constant turmoil over strict3
society norms.4
Lucidness masked; black withered roses,5
push through trails of blood red earth.6
Derangement concealed with mind numbing chemicals,7
transporting from the depths of hell;8
gasping for breath as the stench invades my lungs,9
disguising obscured illnesses.10
Forever bound between worlds, lost in my own abyss.

'razor sharp desires' indeed!
love the intensity and claustrophobia of this poem; as dark and gritty as the subject, as insidious as viruses, forza!

Wow! Oh my gosh this is brilliant and I loved it. Congrats on that bronze you really did deserve it
This poem is so dark and you did such justice to the category.
