Wished i had stayed camping

Our relationship was great, we had been together for 3 years and were very much in love with each other, we went to gigs together and even talked about marrage, we were great, that is until that weekend1

We went and chose to do different things that weekend, i was going away for the weekend with the lads and you were going to a friends party, we didn't have to worry about each other cheating as we trusted each other fully....well so i thought anyway.2

I'd only been gone for one night when i couldn't take it anymore, i had to come back and see you, i missed you like the sun missed the flowers at the bottom of a forest, i had to see you. I jumped in my car and made my way for home. I was going to call but i wanted to surprise you, i wanted to see the look on your face when you see me.3

The drive was a 5 hour haul, i should of stopped to re-charge my batteries but i was set on seeing you. It was 9pm, i was a hour away, the sun was setting over the mountains as i drove through them. I was smiling from ear to ear, i had the window down with my arm hanging out, the wind was in my face and blowing my hair back. The stereo was playing as loud as it could, the tunes were my fuel to go faster. My foot was welded to the floor as my car was reaching a speed in the triple figures.4

I reached town and went straight to the party where you said you'd be. As i pulled up the smile from my face started to fall like a leaf in autum, my gut feeling wasn't good. I opened the car door and stepped out, i looked around to survey the people outside on the front lawn, some of these people i had never seen before in my life, they didn't even go to our school or stay in town.5

I wandered into the front door to look for her, i could not see her. I asked her friends where she was, they loooked at me as if i wans't there, their blank stares told me what i felt in the car, she was with someone else. Had the 3 years together meant nothing to her. I found her in a room with another guy, half naked and giggiling like she used to with me. I stood i the doorway for a good 5 minutes before they even noticed me, i felt my right hand clench tightly together adn i tried so hard to keep my eyes from welling up, i charged at him and struck across the face as hard as i could. I picked him up and threw him out the door and slammed it shut after i had. 6

I looked at her with such disbelief, how could she? Why would she? The tears in my eyes were fighting to get out but i held them in. I looked at her, my bottom lip quivering, i asked her why she would do such a thing? She gave me no answer. I sat down next to her and looked her in the eye, her tears started to roll down her face and fell to the floor, words were trying to escape from my mouth but to no avail, i stood up and took one last look at her as her tears weren't falling but crashing around me, i walked out the door and never turned round.........7

Where ever you are baby, i hope your happy and just know i will never stop loving you8
