Country Loving Chapter Seven

Hopping into the car Cheryl pulled out of the parking lot. Wondering what it was that Terri was hiding. That glazed look was still in her eyes. 1

"Terri is everything alright?"2

"Yes I'm just thinkin."3

"Well tell me what about."4

"I just don't think that I can. At least not yet. The time will come. Don't worry it's nuthin bad."5

"You can't keep holding me off like this Terri."6

"I know but please be patient with me. I want to sort it out before I even say what I am feeling right now."7

"OK. So we have about a day an a half left until we reach Chicago. Would you want to stay at my place with me or at a hotel?"8

"Of course I would luv to stay at ya place."9

Cheryl focused on the road but it was just getting too hard to do. She wanted to know what Terri wanted to say but knew that she couldn't push her. The time would come.10

"Around 2 will stop for lunch then go until about 10 and then get some rest."11

"So alright with me. Ya the one drivin. Unless you want me to drive. I do know how ya know."12

"I invited you out here for the reading of the will. I am not going to make you drive. Plus I love to drive. It keeps me awake."13

"I also keep ya awake."14

"Oh yeah that you do."15

"Hello ya weren't suppose to agree. Get back to drivin."16

"Fine I will."17

The rest of the ride both remained silent. Terri kept thinking about the word 'love' and just when would the right time to be in order to say it. She wanted to say it now but feared that she might just scare Cheryl away. That was the last thing she wanted to do.18

"I am going to pull over at Chick Fila to get something to go. So that way we have less time to travel tomorrow."19

"Yep sure sounds good."20

Terri's gazed seemed so far away. They got their food but Terri barely touched hers. Her mind was so far away. They remained silent until they got to the hotel.21

Terri got a separate room from Cheryl. She went into her room with out saying a word. She had to figure out if she really loved Cheryl or not. Cheryl went into her room which was right across the hall. She sat on the bed. She couldn't take it any longer and headed over to Terri's room. Knocking on the door she waited. Terri opened the door. Tears staining her cheeks. Cheryl pushed the door opened and welcome herself to Terri's room.22

"Terri tell me what is going on. You haven't talked to me. You got a separate room. Is it something I did? Terri I am worried like hell the tears on your cheeks don't help any."23

"Cheryl it's just that...."24

"It's what Terri? You can tell me anything."25

"Cheryl I..."26

"You what Terri? Just tell me!"27

"Cheryl I feel that...I just don't want to scare you away."28

"You won't scare me."29

"Cheryl I...I..I love you! I know it's too soon but it's been eating me away. I wanted to wait to know for sure."30

"Terri is that it?"31

"Yes. I just didn't want to scare you away."32

"Terri I love you too! I wanted to say it as well but I felt the same you did. Then when I saw the way you were I knew that something was up."33

Cheryl grabbed Terri and pulled her into her arms. Kissing her she let go. She pulled the door shut. Cheryl and Terri slept in the same room that night.34

  • Wow, what a complete and total waste of money! Why buy two seperate rooms if you know you're going to end up sleeping in the same bed after all? lol I guess it all plays out though. You had a few minor spelling problems but I'm sure that I will point them out later. I'm glad that she was finally forced to spit out those three complex words. I love how you illustrated the fact that the idea of it was literally scaring her to death and put her in a bit of a fog. I love this story for some reason that I cannot yet explain. Oh A.D.D. one I think you need to work on this one a bit more! <3

  • Yey! They finally admitted they love each other!!! Phew, that took a long time. lol. I truly loved this chapter. Despite the fact that there was nothing physical in this part of the story I think it was the most touching yet (no pun intended, lol). Sometimes just that simple word 'love' can be the hardest thing to say. I am soooo happy for them both that they opened up to each other and can tell each other how they really feel now. Good work my love. I think there were one or two spelling issues but Im English so it may just be that we spell things differently over here so I wont point them out. lol. I cant wait for the next chapter!

    • I am glad you liked it. I agree that this one is touching. She held it in and finally let it go. It was killing her. I will do the next chapter as soon as possible.
